The Chinese woman sank her blade deep into the stomach of Francis Berkley, an "associate" of David Shield...
Berkley vomited blood, staining the woman's stone face.
With a violent blow but inimitable precision, she sliced it in two, letting the entrails spread like mud on the white ground.
Around her, a hundred men were lying, dead, dismembered...
She wiped the blood off her blade with an indifferent gesture, all under the terrified gaze of David Shield and his wife. Other scientists were there as well... Some held back from vomiting, others did not....
The lady looked at the people around her with an icy face... Then, gradually, a smile appeared when his eyes fell on the blonde woman next to David.
"You're the last one on my list...." said the Asian with a smirk.
David's eyes widened in horror...
"No!! Don't touch my wife!" he cried, placing himself in front of her like a protective wall.
But a few seconds later, his wife fell to the ground, a dagger stuck deep in the middle of her head...
David's eyes widened... He hadn't seen anything... Yet he had not taken his eyes off this woman!
"Love makes you naïve Shield..." she said with a serene but cold smile as she approached him.
"You... You..." he began with rage and sorrow, tears streaming from his eyes.
"Elena Shield was cheating on you with Berkley.... They were making love while you helped the world. And Berkley decides to steal all your research and your belongings with the complicity of this woman...." she began, pressing her foot on the dagger in Elena Shield's head...
David had collapsed, the world was crumbling around him...
"They were planning to assassinate you and disguise it as a villain attack..." she simply finished.
She stopped in front of David and stared at him with her steelless gray eyes without heat....
She threw him a USB key and then quietly walked towards the exit door.
"Wait...." David's voice faded.
She stopped and looked at him over her shoulder.
"Are you a heroine?" he asked.
The woman had a smirk on her lips covered with blue lipstick.
"It's a rhetorical question, isn't it? You're funny, David shield... And since I'm in a good mood with all the money I earned to save your life, I'll answer you.... No, I'm an assassin, a fighter, I'm not looking for the glory or recognition that these heroes seem to be desperately seeking. I'm looking for fighters at my level, whether heroes or villains... " she says
"this USB key is from my boss, there is all the information about the little shenanigans of your wife and her lover" She finished with a small wave of her hand. She finished with a small wave of her hand.
She opened the door and walked out, leaving David Shield sobbing on the cold floor of his laboratory...

Back to the present..... Holy circus.
It was chaos... It was chaos...
The audience was gathered outside... While a stretcher carried Tony Zuko's corpse covered with a tarpaulin.
The artists were in a state of shock... The Graysons were even more so because Tony Zuko, the director of the holy circus, was their lifelong friend...
Dick was the least affected, having never really liked this man, he knew thanks to his reading of body language which had sharpened deeply as he grew up, that Tony Zuko was not a person you could trust... He knew that he might be a bad person...
However, he made no comment and only consoled his mother with the help of Melissa and Amanda.
David was next to John who was talking to the police... He clenched his fists, he knew who had done this but he couldn't say anything... He was not supposed to say it...
So his eyes widened when he saw Lady Shiva pass in front of him to leave the stage.... She walked quietly, without worrying about the crowd or the cops...
"Good night Mr. Shield..." she said with a cold and emotionless sweetness.
David had chills, he turned around abruptly but saw no one, reinforcing his discomfort...

Dick felt a violent shiver run through his body, he felt the danger, the presence of a predator.... It was so violent that he thought he was fainting...
He turned abruptly and stared at the woman with the long black hair who was moving away.
Feeling a piercing gaze on her, she turned around and saw a boy with black hair and green eyes looking at her in fear.
Lady Shiva raised an eyebrow, intrigued by this boy... Was he a circus artist too? Just like the daughter of Shield, she felt something in this boy....
"Hmmmm... I think I'll come here more often..." she thought with a smirk.

Five days later, life had returned to normal...
It was peaceful....
Dick and Melissa were almost always stuffed together, she was his new best friend, he enjoyed her so much!
When they weren't busy with their respective activities, they were having fun in the park next to Shield's lab with krypto, Melissa's big white dog.
Melissa had called him that in reference to the dog of Superman, a comic book hero from the pre-quirk era.
He may have been fictional, but he was Melissa's model... He was the one who had brought her out of sadness, he embodied hope! For Melissa, Superman was stronger and cooler than all might!
"So you're Supergirl! You're strong like superman ! You too will become a symbol of hope! " Dick smiled wonderfully as he took his hand.
Melissa blushed and nodded with a happy smile.
"We're the same! If I'm a symbol of hope, you'll be a symbol too!" cried Melissa, stroking the krypto fur.
Dick nodded with a smile, it remains to be seen what symbol he will be later...
Unfortunately, izuku Midoriya or rather Dick Grayson was not destined to live happily ever after.... He had lost his mother, devastating him and thought he could become the hero he wanted to be..... For Inko, John, Mary and Amanda...

All we could say was that everything had happened very quickly....
Dick had just come out of the amusement park with his wonderful family.
He was happy, laughing with his mother, chatting with his father and joking with his sister.
But.....
"Ahhhhhh!!," many voices shouted.
People were fleeing from a giant, nightmarish creature with spikes on its back, he was screaming: "WHERE IS HE ?!?!"
"WHERE IS HE?!?!"
"WHERE IS HE?!?!"
"WHERE IS HE?!?!"
He was screaming, his cry was creepy. The street was in a terrible state....
"Where are the heroes?!" cried John as he fled with his family.
The mad monster looked around, and there he could make out the Graysons fleeing.
"Ahhh! There you are! If I catch you alive, I'll stop suffering !!," he cried madly.
"But first he asked me to do this!"
The monster threw spikes from its back....
Everything happened very quickly.... The spikes pierced John, Mary, and Amanda...
Their bodies, pierced everywhere, fell like soft flesh to the ground....
Dick stopped. He contemplated the lifeless bodies of his family, his eyes wide, empty, only the beating of his heart let him know that he was still alive..
The monster tried to rush towards him but he stopped when he noticed some heroes and law enforcement around him.
"FUCK!!"
The villain threw a multitude of spikes, serving as diversions before fleeing....
"Fuck he's escaping! Go and fetch him!" cried one of the heroes.
The heroes present nodded seriously before going and the one who had given the order approached Dick, his eyes filled with regret and empathy...
"My boy... Come with me," he said, grabbing Dick by the shoulder....
Dick doesn't react, his gaze wandered over the corpses on the ground...
"Mom... Dad... Big sister...." he began before collapsing. The hero held him down and dragged him away from the street....
The police and paramedics took care of him while the hero, called blue beetle, received the call from his team.
"Chief... We lost him ! It's as if he had vanished!" cried a female voice.
"Keep up the search! I want to see this murderer behind bars!" he ordered as he hung up angrily.
He looked at Dick, still in the same state...
"It's my fault...." he whispered in a faint voice.
"Huh?" asked Blue Beetle, surprised.
"I'm the cause of all this, my mother... Then my new family... I lost them all.... All the people I love end up dying....." He said as he burst into a sob that broke the hearts of everyone around him.
He felt something grow inside him... Hatred, a murderous hatred.... To this monster, to himself... He held his head, and a most horrible pain drew from him an agonizing cry.
"I've lost everything and it's all your fault!!" he shouted with an extraordinary rage.
The die is cast... And the cogs of destiny are already in motion... Dick Grayson.

An hour later....
"Dick!" cried Melissa in tears as she threw herself on him.
Dick returned his embrace slightly....
The police station they were in was teeming with cops, blue beetle could be seen chatting with the police inspector.
"Dick... all my condolences," David said in a voice knotted with grief.
Melissa looked Dick in the eye.... She noticed with great sorrow that part of the sparkle that illuminated his beautiful eyes seemed to be gone for good....

Two days later.....
Lady Shiva raised an eyebrow at what people from the Holy Circus told her...
"So... The Grayson family has been killed by a villain... Leaving only Dick Grayson as the sole survivor..." she said to herself as she walked away from the circus.
"He's the interesting boy... I wonder what he's going to do now that his family is dead....," she thought simply.
She stopped and watched the sunset....
"Dick Grayson.... You intrigue me way too much, I don't like it... but it doesn't bother me either..." She said to herself with a small smile
Lady shiva... The most dangerous woman in the world, the ultimate Assassin... Was intrigued by an 8 year old boy...
