Figures rushed out from the ruins, blocking Gohan's path.
Goku.
Piccolo.
Vegeta.
Krillin.
Tien Shinhan.
All of them were badly injured.
"Gohan, run!"
Goku turned and shouted at him.
"Dad—!"
Gohan's heart twisted violently.
It was too real.
The fear in his father's eyes.
The blood at the corner of his mouth.
Every detail stabbed straight into his soul.
"A bunch of pathetic ants…"
Cell sneered.
"Still pretending to be a loving family?"
He moved.
No one saw how.
Pfft!
Piccolo's body suddenly stiffened.
A green arm pierced straight through his chest.
"Uncle Piccolo—!!!"
Gohan screamed.
Cell's tail opened its absorption mouth and covered Piccolo's back.
Under Gohan's horrified gaze—
Piccolo's tall body was absorbed inch by inch.
Until nothing remained.
Only a torn cape drifted slowly to the ground.
"No—!!!"
Rage.
An unprecedented fury exploded inside Gohan like a volcanic eruption.
"AAAAAAAH—!!!"
Golden ki erupted wildly around his body.
"Next…"
Cell's gaze shifted to Goku.
"…you."
This time, Cell didn't absorb him immediately.

The sound of bones snapping echoed clearly.

Goku struggled to speak, eyes filled with pain and desperation.

Cell's tail enveloped him.

Gohan collapsed to his knees, tears and mucus streaming down his face.

He could only watch as his father—

Was turned into a puddle of green sludge with a wet glug.

Something shattered deep inside Gohan's soul.
Golden ki exploded—
Intertwined with violent blue-white lightning!
Gohan's hair stood straight up.
The innocence in his eyes vanished.
Only killing intent remained.
His muscles bulged.

Only sensation.
Gohan clenched his fists, feeling the terrifying power raging within him.
"Very strong."

"Can I… defeat him now?"
His eyes burned with hatred.
"Defeat him?"
Loren chuckled softly and shook his head.
"If you rush out now, you're still not his match."
"Why?!"
Gohan stood up abruptly, lightning flaring violently.
"My power increased so much!"
"Power?"
Loren looked at him calmly.
"Let me ask you something."
"Can a knife in the hands of a three-year-old child kill an adult tiger?"
Gohan froze.
"Power you cannot fully control…"
"…is not yours."
"It's a beast."
"One that can bite you at any moment."
Loren rolled his neck.
"Come."
"Attack me."
"Use everything you have."
"Let me see how much real strength there is in your so-called 25 billion."
"Teacher, I—"
Gohan hesitated, afraid of hurting him.
"Stop hesitating."
Loren's eyes sharpened instantly.
"Bring out the drive you had when you wanted to tear Cell apart."
"Otherwise, you don't even deserve to stand before him."
Gohan's heart tightened.
He took a deep breath.
All hatred.
All rage.
All despair—
He poured it onto the man before him.
