The clash of fist and arm stirred up a hurricane far more terrifying than any previous collision.
"Ahhh—!"
The audience descended into chaos.
"Oh my god! They're flying!"
"This… is this wire work? But I don't see any wires!"
"Special effects! These have to be movie-level special effects—so realistic!"
"4D experience! The organizers really went all out! I can feel my seat shaking!"
Instead of fear, the crowd was swept up in extreme excitement.
They waved their arms, screaming and cheering wildly.
Above the ring.
Vegeta's face was twisted with madness and exhilaration.
"That's it, Kakarot!"
"This is the kind of battle a Saiyan should have!"
He blasted Goku backward, following like a shadow—knee strikes, elbow strikes—each blow blindingly fast and ferocious!
Son Goku's expression grew more serious than ever.
He stopped holding back, pushing his power to its absolute peak.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Every collision detonated like a bomb in the sky.
The scattered energy completely pulverized what remained of the recently repaired ring below.
The entire martial arts arena—and even the city beyond—trembled under the overwhelming force.
"Vegeta… that guy…"
In the competitors' area, Piccolo raised an arm to shield himself from the raging gale, his expression grim.
"Too reckless!"
"Dad…!"
Gohan shouted toward the sky.
The battle shifted again.
Seizing an opening while Goku was catching his breath, Vegeta landed a brutal whip kick squarely into Goku's waist!
Bang!
Goku's body streaked downward like a golden meteor!
Rumble!
The ground collapsed into a bottomless crater!
"Kakarot!"
Vegeta hovered in the air, staring down into the pit, laughing heartily.
"I am the strongest Saiyan!"
The entire venue went deathly silent.
Had Son Goku lost?
In the VIP section, Mr. Satan's body shook even more violently.
Boom—!!!
From deep within the crater, a golden aura—far more powerful and pure than Vegeta's earlier burst—shot skyward!
Vegeta's laughter froze.
From the pillar of golden light, a figure slowly rose.
Son Goku.
He brushed the dust off his clothes and stretched his neck, producing a series of crisp crack, crack sounds.
There wasn't a single injury on him—only a hint of unfulfilled excitement.
"That hurt, Vegeta."
Goku grinned, flashing a mouthful of white teeth.
"You… bastard…"
Vegeta's face darkened instantly.
That attack had used all of his power.
Yet Kakarot was completely unharmed?
No.
Impossible!
He must be bluffing!
"Stop pretending, Kakarot!"
Vegeta roared, clasping his hands before his chest as golden energy blasts rained down like a storm.
"Continuous Energy Blasts!"
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Hundreds—no, thousands—of energy blasts streaked through the air, sealing off every escape route.
Son Goku simply raised one hand.
Buzz—!
Every single blast was swatted aside and scattered harmlessly into the sky.
"Kakarot…"
Vegeta stared at him, teeth clenched.
Why?
Why was this man always ahead of him?
Was he—Vegeta, Prince of all Saiyans—destined to live forever in Kakarot's shadow?
No!
Never!
A tidal wave of rage and unwillingness erupted from the depths of Vegeta's heart!
"Ahhhhh—!"
Vegeta roared to the heavens.
His ki surged violently once more!
The golden aura grew denser, fiercer—almost tangible!
Crackle!
Golden lightning began to snap and coil around his body!
"This is…!"
In the competitors' area, Gohan's pupils shrank.
"Super Saiyan Two!"
He knew that power better than anyone.
The lightning-wreathed golden aura meant only one thing.
Vegeta had broken past Super Saiyan and reached a higher realm!
"Haha… hahahahaha!"
Bathed in power far beyond anything he'd ever known, Vegeta laughed wildly.
"Kakarot!"
"Do you see this?!"
"This is my true power—Vegeta's power!"
"Come on!"
He spread his arms, striking a classic pose.
"Let me show you!"
"My strongest attack!"
"Final—"
"Flash!!!"
Boom—!!!
A colossal golden energy beam erupted from Vegeta's palms, swallowing the sky in blinding light!
Facing Vegeta's all-out attack, a smile appeared on Son Goku's face.
"Well met, Vegeta!"
Goku laughed, crouching slightly, hands drawn back to his waist.
"This is the Vegeta I know!"
Blue light gathered between his palms.
At first, just a faint glow—
Then, in an instant, it blazed with dazzling brilliance!
"Ka—"
"Me—"
"Ha—"
"Me—"
"Ha—!!!"
Boom—!!!
A massive blue energy beam erupted from Goku's hands, colliding head-on with the golden Final Flash!
Rumble—rumble—rumble—!!!
Blue and gold torrents crashed together at the center of the sky!
There was no immediate explosion.
Instead, the two forces locked in a deadlock!
A massive sphere of pure energy formed at the point of impact!
Crackle!
Thick bolts of energy lightning burst from the sphere, tearing the sky apart!
"Ahhhhh—!"
Vegeta's veins bulged across his forehead.
He squeezed out every last drop of power, pouring it into the Final Flash without restraint!
There was only one thought in his mind—
Defeat Kakarot!
"Lose to me!!!"
Vegeta roared.
The golden torrent surged brighter, slowly—visibly—pushing the blue Kamehameha back!
The scales of victory were tipping toward Vegeta!
"Damn it!"
Gohan's face went pale.
"Dad's power… it's about to give out!"
"Goku…"
Piccolo's fists clenched tightly.
Were they really about to lose?
