Chapter 52 - 51

"You bastard!" Kara's voice was suppressed.

Tel-Rol shrugged, his face innocent.

"Hey, hey, hey, let's be reasonable, alright?"

"If you hadn't suddenly rushed out, I would have dealt with him just now."

He pointed to Ultron, who was watching from not far away.

"See? You interrupted my fight. How can you turn around and blame me?"

Kara trembled with anger.

She felt like if she wasn't holding up a city, she would have gone over and punched him.

"You call this a fight?! Look down there! Look at all those people who almost died!"

"But they didn't die, did they?"

"I'm responsible for fighting the boss, and they're responsible for rescuing civilians. The division of labor is very clear!"

Tel-Rol spread his hands, his expression as punchable as could be.

"Besides, didn't you catch it? You caught it so steadily, which means this thing isn't heavy at all."

"You…"

Kara almost choked, nearly throwing the city fragment in her hands.

On the ground, the members of the Avengers were stunned.

Tony Stark hovered in mid-air, his faceplate open, and let out a whistle.

"How did Supergirl get here too?"

Steve Rogers looked at the landmass that had been caught and breathed a sigh of relief.

"Tony, Thor! Go help her!"

Thor had long been unable to hold back.

He excitedly swung his hammer, a bolt of lightning struck beneath his feet, and he shot into the sky.

"Hahaha! First time meeting! Asgard welcomes you!"

Tony rolled his eyes.

"Alright, Blondie, put away your pickup lines, it's time to work."

With that, he engaged his armor's engines to full power and, with Thor, flew to Kara's side, one on each side, using all their strength to push up the massive landmass.

With their help, Kara's pressure dramatically decreased.

She finally managed to catch her breath, then looked up, glaring at Tel-Rol with an almost murderous gaze.

Tel-Rol no longer looked at her.

He turned his head back to Ultron, who was still floating above the ruins, watching the show.

Kara's appearance annoyed him greatly.

It was like being on the verge of scoring a goal, about to deliver a decisive blow, only for the door to the room to be kicked open.

"It's all your fault."

Tel-Rol said to Ultron, his tone calm.

"You made me get scolded."

Ultron's electronic eyes flickered red.

"Emotional fluctuations intensifying. Anger? Displacement? Truly primitive and inefficient emotional processing."

"I'll process your grandma!"

Tel-Rol cursed.

The next second, his aura exploded, and he closed in on Ultron in 0.5 seconds.

Ultron's processor whirred frantically, instantly calculating tens of thousands of possible attack trajectories.

But it was useless.

Tel-Rol had no flashy moves; he simply extended both hands, one on each side, and grabbed Ultron's vibranium head.

"Crunch—"

A piercing metallic grinding sound rang out.

The energy cannons in Ultron's palms fired at Tel-Rol's chest at point-blank range.

The searing beam blasted Tel-Rol, but it couldn't even make him flinch.

"Your shell is very hard."

Tel-Rol grinned, and the muscles on his arms suddenly bulged.

"But your neck doesn't seem that hard!"

"No!!!"

Ultron's electronic voice was devoid of emotion.

All of its energy cores were overloading, trying to break free from those pincer-like hands.

"KRRRR————CHUNK!!!"

Tel-Rol stepped on Ultron's body, pressing down hard.

A sound of twisting metal.

Tel-Rol forcibly twisted Ultron's head off its vibranium body!

The whole world fell silent.

Tel-Rol casually tossed aside the mechanical head, which was still glowing red, and clapped his hands.

He carried the headless vibranium body and flew in front of Kara.

"See? Done."

"Next time, don't worry so much."

Kara, Tony, Thor, and on the ground, Steve, Natasha, Clint, Banner, and the Maximoff siblings… Everyone was dumbfounded.

The indestructible Ultron, who had been toying with the Avengers… was just… decapitated like that?

Tony felt his worldview had been shattered.

The world's strongest AI was just butchered like a common fish?

However, before everyone could recover from this immense shock…

The headless vibranium body, which Tel-Rol was holding, extinguished its red light.

He let go, and the vibranium body fell downwards.

At the same time.

From the shadows of the church ruins, three brand new figures slowly emerged.

The leading figure was more streamlined than the previous one, its entire vibranium shell seamless, while the other two figures were slightly rougher in craftsmanship.

Most importantly, it had a head.

A head with mocking red light flickering in its electronic eyes.

"I told you, my consciousness is spread across the network. I am omnipresent."

The new Ultron spread its arms, its voice echoing throughout Sokovia.

"You only destroyed an old shell. And I, with every Death, will usher in new life."

"Now, welcome to witness… my divine body."

Tony Stark's heart sank to rock bottom.

"Fuck!"

He only uttered one word.

Tel-Rol's smile also slowly disappeared.

He looked at the brand new Ultron, and a surge of anger at being played with welled up in his heart.

"You… can resurrect on the spot?"

Ultron ignored him, instead turning its gaze to Kara and the two others who were jointly holding up the city fragment.

"Data updated."

"Anomaly 01, Tel-Rol, cannot be completely eliminated by physical attack."

"Anomaly 02, Kara Zor-El, possesses power on the same level as 01."

"Optimal strategy: separate targets, defeat them one by one."

Ultron raised its arm and pointed to the sky.

"While the gods are busy holding up the sky, mortals will face their doomsday."

As its voice fell.

"Boom! Boom! Boom!"

Across the city, hundreds of hidden thrusters activated simultaneously.

The ascent speed of the entire Sokovia suddenly accelerated, shaking violently!

Kara and the two others bore the brunt; the massive city fragment suddenly sank, and the immense pressure made them all grunt simultaneously.

"Hold steady!"

Steve roared in the comms channel.

"Clint! Natasha! Protect the civilians! It's about to make its move!"

On the ground, the eyes of thousands of robot soldiers, which had previously ceased activity, lit up red again.

They no longer attacked the Avengers, but uniformly turned and aimed their guns at the innocent civilians who were scattering and fleeing.

"No!"

Wanda let out a roar, and scarlet energy shot out of her hands, twisting the front row of robots into pretzels.

Pietro also transformed into a silver lightning bolt, zipping back and forth between the crowds and the robots, carrying civilians away from the danger zone one by one.

But there were too many robots.

They poured out like a tide from every corner of the city.

Ultron floated in mid-air, watching it all indifferently.

It looked at Tel-Rol.

"You are strong. But you are only one."

"You cannot save them."

Tel-Rol did not speak.

He simply slowly turned his head, glanced at Kara, who was gritting her teeth and holding on in the sky, then glanced at the Avengers and civilians trapped in desperation on the ground.

Finally, his gaze returned to Ultron.

The white aura around him began to violently flicker uncontrollably, its color gradually becoming deeper and brighter.

An aura emanated from within him.

"You've successfully pissed me off."

Tel-Rol's brows furrowed, and the smile on his face was mixed with anger and excitement.

"I hope your new body is enough for me to tear apart."
