Cherreads

Chapter 69 - 68

"Little Brain Sacrifice Array!"

Tel-Rol's large hand, like an iron clamp, grabbed Kara as she was about to rush down.

"Are you crazy?"

Kara's eyes were red with anxiety.

"Below is kryptonite! Clark is in danger!"

She struggled fiercely, but Tel-Rol's hand didn't budge.

"So what?"

Tel-Rol glanced at her lazily, and with his other hand, he theatrically dug into his ear.

"Are you going down there to throw your life away? To give that green-glowing guy down there a buy-one-get-one-free show?"

"If you touch that thing, won't you also kneel?"

"You..."

Kara was so rebuffed she couldn't utter a word.

She knew he was telling the truth.

kryptonite was fatal to all Kryptonians; if she went down, she would only die with Clark, accomplishing nothing.

"Then be careful."

Kara bit her lip, her face filled with worry.

Tel-Rol looked at her expression, and the corner of his mouth unconsciously curved upwards, but he quickly reverted to his usual annoying demeanor.

"Don't worry, you don't trust me to handle things?"

"Just stay here, be good, and watch me work."

After speaking, he released his hand, and he plummeted like a stone directly towards the eerie green smoke below.

Inside the abandoned chemical factory.

Green smoke swirled, carrying a pungent and strange smell.

Clark knelt on one knee, completely powerless.

The kryptonite radiation was draining all his strength.

He felt as weak as an ordinary person.

"Zzzzt..."

The old television in front of him lit up again, and Joker's painted face reappeared.

"Oh dear, my little Superman, how do you feel?"

Joker exaggeratedly covered his mouth, trembling with laughter.

"I'm sorry to inform you, this specially made bomb is a kryptonite-exclusive model, only effective against alien brats like you."

"And... oh dear, I accidentally added a little bit of my special blend of laughing gas for you, hehehehe!"

"Smell it, isn't it fragrant? Hahahaha!"

Mad laughter echoed through the factory via the loudspeaker.

Lois looked at Clark, who was kneeling on the ground, her heart filled with regret and despair.

She shouldn't have believed that madman!

"I'm sorry, Clark... I..."

Before she could finish her sentence, the inhaled laughing gas began to take effect.

The world spun before her eyes, and everything became distorted.

Clark's condition was even worse.

The weakness from the kryptonite and the hallucinogenic effects of the laughing gas combined, creating a terrifying chemical reaction.

The scene before his eyes began to shift wildly.

The collapsed walls, rusty pipes, and Lois tied to a chair all vanished.

What greeted his eyes was the ruined Metropolis, a wasteland of broken walls.

A tall, grotesque gray figure rose from the rubble, bone spurs covering its entire body, letting out an earth-shattering roar.

Doomsday!

"No!"

Clark let out a painful roar.

He saw Doomsday step down, and a figure in farmer's overalls was crushed into a pulp.

It was his adoptive father, Jonathan Kent!

Then Doomsday casually threw a punch, and his loving adoptive mother, Martha, the woman who always made him apple pie, exploded.

She just lay there at Doomsday's feet.

The scene shifted again.

Bodies lay haphazardly across the ground.

Bruce wore a shattered bat-suit, his lower body missing.

Diana's limbs were brutally torn off and tossed aside.

Arthur was impaled through the chest by his own trident, pinned to the wall.

Barry's legs were twisted in a grotesque, shattered manner.

Victor was reduced to a mechanical head, glowing red, lying on the ground.

"Ah ah ah ah ah! Doomsday!"

Clark's sanity was completely consumed by rage.

He looked up, his once gentle blue eyes now filled only with blood-red killing intent.

He saw the woman he swore to protect with his life, Lois Lane, her face twisting and deforming.

Her skin turned gray, her body swelled, and bone spurs protruded from her back.

She had become Doomsday!

"I'll kill you!"

Clark, dragging his body severely weakened by kryptonite, struggled to his feet.

All his strength, all his anger, converged into his right fist.

He would avenge his parents!

He would avenge his companions!

He would personally... kill this world-destroying monster before him!

He used all his might, swinging a fatal punch at the figure before him, who, though unconscious, appeared as Doomsday in his eyes!

In the monitoring room.

Joker watched the bloody scene about to unfold on the screen, laughing so hard he doubled over, tears streaming down his face.

"Hahahaha! This is art! This is humor!"

"Little Superman, my good boy, when you wake up and realize you personally pounded the woman you love most... oh, and the baby in her belly, into a pulp..."

"Will you... become as interesting as me? Hahahahaha!"

The wind pressure from the punch ruffled Lois's blonde hair.

Clark's fist had already descended.

The next second, a scene of flying flesh and blood seemed inevitable.

Just at this critical moment!

"Bang!!!"

A dull thud.

No one saw what happened.

A dark figure descended from the sky, and a large foot wearing a flip-flop solidly kicked Clark in the waist.

The force was terrifying.

Clark's steel-like body, under this kick, flew sideways like a sandbag.

"Boom! Boom! Boom!"

He successively crashed through three thick concrete walls, was kicked directly out of the chemical factory, flew out of the area shrouded in green smoke, and finally, with a "thud," fell onto the open ground outside.

Tel-Rol slowly retracted his foot, still in his hands-in-pockets stance.

He looked down at the unconscious Lois in the chair, grabbed the chair, and threw it towards Kara.

Then he turned his head and looked at the painted face on the TV screen, which had frozen in a smile.

He curled his lips.

"Tsk tsk, playing big, huh."

"Just a little bit more, and my cousin would have suffered for a lifetime."

He extended his finger and beckoned towards the camera.

"Hey, Joker, right?"

"Keep laughing, why aren't you laughing anymore?"

In the monitoring room.

The maniacal laughter on Joker's face froze.

He stared intently at the man on the screen, dressed in a floral shirt and baggy shorts, with a devil-may-care expression.

Where did this person come from?

One kick... sent Superman flying?

Wearing flip-flops?

Joker's clever little brain was momentarily stunned.

The expression on his face slowly shifted from extreme frenzy to extreme confusion, and finally, it transformed into a morbid excitement of having discovered something new.

"Oh...?"

"Heh heh... heh heh heh heh..."

"Interesting..."

Joker let out a low chuckle from his throat, and he stuck out his tongue, licking his crimson lips.

"A... new toy!"
