"Watch out!" A voice tore through the small room. My body, moving on instinct, shifted ever so slightly to the side. Air rushed past as my opponent's fist missed me terribly. My body was present, but my mind was not.

[I'm really worried about Eliya. First she was suspended and now she has to deal with this whole attempted murder nonsense. There's also that boy, Haylen…]

Pa! Hands shot out, grabbing onto the collar of the judogi in front of me. I exerted strength in my arms and lifted my opponent off the ground.

[Wait!] My eyes widened in realization. When he had broken into my dorm, he had been covered in shards of glass and injuries yet Eliya hadn't mentioned him being injured when they met.

[Something's strange is going on, and I have a nagging feeling that Haylen has something to do with it.]

"Kira!" My eyes snapped back into focus, a body still firmly grasped in my hands. I slammed him into the padded ground, leaving a dent. I could hear a wave of murmurs fill the gym and couldn't help but crack a small smile.

"Is he dead?" A meek, newer member asked.

Probably, I had yet to kill someone. Though he did look rather…inanimate.

"Anyone else want to spar?" As expected, my only answer was a room full of nos.

"Alright then I'll be taking my leave, Ken, I'm not feeling too well."

Sorry, Ken, but I wasn't asking. I left the gym before hearing his response, head full of thoughts and worries. I briefly looked at my surroundings, at least this place never changed. Right across the gym was what I believed to be the worst-placed ice cream shop in the world, Iciffle. Despite the odd choice of location, their ice cream was really good. I'd bring Eliya here when everything calmed down.

The rest of the way was instinctual, I didn't need to look up to know where to go. Once home, I was shocked to find Eliya sprawled out on the couch, her face one of stress and exhaustion.

"You're shivering…" I wrapped her in a warm cover, making sure to not wake her. I didn't know why she was here, but it would be rude to wake her. My own body struggling with exhaustion, a warm bath sounded rather nice. Then I'd address whatever was going on with Eliya.

My clothes were like plate armor, unreasonably heaving and unnecessary. They fell to the ground with a light thud as steam rose from the the tub. Feet first, the warmth kissed my skin pleasantly. My shoulders laxed as a sigh left my throat. For a moment, I didn't think about the suspension, the murder attempt, or that damned Haylen.

It was a bit selfish, but I had more than earned my share of avarice. I reached for the soap, only to miss. It was gone. When had I run out?

Reluctantly, I stood and got another bottle.

"I told you, I never miss!" My hand came down on Jay's back in a friendly slap. 4 - 2, that was the score for our friendly little match. I had won, of course, causing my good friend to pout.

"Relax, let's get something to eat. You take these things too seriously." He didn't respond immediately, instead staring at the ground before turning towards me with a grin.

Shiver~

"You look freaky bro. Don't do that again." I took him to the locker room, where we started changing. I was still thinking about Kira, someone had broken into her dorm and I couldn't do anything to help her. I felt useless.

[Sigh, it's fine since no one got hurt. But when that Haylen wakes up, I'll give him a piece of my mind.]

"Are you do-" I froze as a pair of hands wrapped around my neck, restricting my airways.
