The waiter came to drop the food and then left.
Hazel held her glass, swirled it a little, and then brought it to her lip.
"Why do you look so surprised? It's not like I just told you a big secret, even though it should have been a secret."
I watched her as she drank more and then chuckled to herself.
"He is an abomination. We all know the reason werewolves take vampires as lovers." She said.
"We do?"
"A vampire cannot impregnate a werewolf and vice versa. It has never happened before and never should have happened, but yet, Kaldric existence proved otherwise. The bastard child of Alpha Adam became a miracle baby everyone adored and now, he he is a man everyone fears. In our world, Alvira, bastards are nothing, yet one rules the great Verlith family just because he is the son of a Lycan and a vampire princess."
I felt chill whenever Hazel spoke because the hate from her voice was real and raw, and she didn't even bother to hide it.
