Chapter 369 - 369: Father-Son

Time passed quickly, and three days slipped by in the blink of an eye.

Ever since Lucien wiped out the entire high-level leadership of the Monster Association, the world had grown noticeably quieter. While monsters still appeared here and there, they were nothing more than minor threats. The Hero Association handled them with ease.

Over the past few days, Lucien had instructed the Hero Association to track down Sykos and Evil Eye, but the results were disappointing. At the same time, the remnants of the Monster Association provided him with very little in terms of Dice roll rewards.

In total, he gained only five Dice roll opportunities. Even Orochi was classified as merely a secondary villain. Although Elder Centipede, Gouketsu, and Gums were Dragon-level threats, they did not even qualify as secondary villains.

Strangely enough, Homeless Emperor and Black Sperm were considered secondary villains. Lucien could not make sense of how his Golden Finger calculated these things.

Still, Lucien carefully studied the abilities he had gained from Orochi and the others. Their powers were bizarre and overwhelmingly strong, but unfortunately, they could not be replicated. Most of them were innate abilities or superpowers, not something that could be cultivated through training or Ki.

However, after absorbing Black Sperm, Lucien's body underwent a subtle but significant transformation.

Inside the room, another Lucien stood quietly.

It was a perfect duplicate, created when Lucien casually broke off one of his fingers.

This clone formed from his flesh and blood, growing over time until it became identical to him. The amount of flesh used determined the clone's strength. A fingertip produced a weak duplicate, while a full limb would result in something far more powerful.

These clones could also merge back into his main body at any time.

However, there was a trade-off. Each clone divided his overall strength. A small fragment like a fingertip barely made a difference, but losing an arm or leg would noticeably weaken him.

Even so, the clones themselves would grow stronger alongside him.

More importantly, if his main body were destroyed while even a single clone remained, Lucien would not truly die. Given enough time, he could fully regenerate.

In essence, it was a form of self-division. Even without this ability, Lucien could already scatter his body into countless pieces in moments of danger. As long as one cell survived, he could recover completely.

This new power was both useful and redundant.

Regardless, it was the greatest reward he had gained from destroying the Monster Association, aside from the five Dice rolls.

For the past three days, Lucien had been adapting to and refining this ability.

"BOSS, what do you want for dinner?"

Lucien stepped out into the living room. Mosquito Girl sat comfortably on the couch, watching a drama. She turned with a bright smile, already preparing to head out and buy ingredients.

The massive Elder Centipede from before had only lasted a single meal.

"I still want to eat centipede meat."

Saitama lay sprawled lazily on the tatami, holding a controller. He turned his head and spoke with clear longing.

For the past three days, he had gone out searching, but he had not encountered another giant centipede. He had been complaining about it ever since.

"Mr. Saitama, supermarkets don't sell centipede meat."

Mosquito Girl sounded helpless. After her cooking, the meat had been incredibly delicious, tender yet chewy, with each method bringing out a different flavor.

Saitama's shoulders slumped in disappointment.

"BOSS?"

She looked back at Lucien.

"Anything is fine. Just make your best dish."

Even Lucien missed the taste, but such ingredients were rare.

"Alright! Beast King, let's go!"

After touching up her makeup, Mosquito Girl grabbed her bag and called Beast King before heading out.

"Lucien, I already cleared the tenth level of this game. Want me to carry you?"

Saitama's face showed a hint of pride.

Lucien looked at him with clear disdain. After so many days, he had only reached level ten. Saitama's gaming skills were truly terrible.

"With your skills? Forget it. I'll carry you."

Lucien sat cross-legged and picked up another controller.

Saitama's expression darkened. "I spent days getting to level ten. If you're so good, let's compete."

"Fine. Let's play a father-son match."

"What's that?"

"The loser calls the winner 'Daddy'."

"Bring it on!"

The two immediately started playing. The competition quickly escalated, switching between levels and even fighting games as they went all out against each other.

By the time Mosquito Girl and Beast King returned, Saitama was red with frustration, repeatedly calling Lucien "Dad" while still refusing to give up.

Even as he kept losing, he stubbornly continued playing, completely shameless.

Lucien felt satisfied. Even if it was just in a game, crushing Saitama felt good.

If he could do the same in reality, that would be even better.

Unfortunately, reality was far less forgiving.

Days passed peacefully, and half a month slipped by in an instant.

The Hero Association continued searching for Sykos and Evil Eye. Saitama occasionally went out to act as a hero, though most monsters posed no challenge.

Lucien also wandered out from time to time, mainly searching for his targets.

Despite the chaos of the world, it was still a modern city. Certain services still existed.

Lucien even dragged Saitama along to experience some of them.

However, Saitama felt nothing. His emotions had dulled to the point where such things no longer affected him.

In that sense, Saitama was almost pitiful.

He had gained overwhelming strength, but in return, he had lost much of what made him human.

The price of being the chosen one in this world was far too heavy.

The rest of Lucien's time was spent cultivating and meditating.

As night fell, the uninhabited zone of Z-City was swallowed by darkness. Only a few scattered lights flickered in the distance.

Recently, something felt missing at night.

The moon.

North of P-City, in a barren stretch of grassland, a brilliant light suddenly flashed. When it faded, a girl in a JK uniform stood in its place.

Nana frowned slightly.

"The night is the most annoying time."

Her delicate face showed clear dissatisfaction. As she felt the immense power within her fade away, she became nothing more than an ordinary girl.

This was the drawback of her ability, the Sun, Sin of Arrogance.

During the day, she was nearly invincible, capable of destroying anything in her path. At night, all that power vanished.

"Is this the world where Darkness resides?"

She looked up at the sky, surprised.

There was no moon.

Lowering her gaze, she scanned her surroundings. Despite the darkness, she could see everything clearly.

Her eyes possessed multiple abilities, Clairvoyance, X-ray Vision, Illusion-Breaking Eye, Yin-Yang Vision, and Laser Vision.

Clairvoyance and X-ray Vision allowed her to see across vast distances and through objects. The Illusion-Breaking Eye revealed anything hidden or false. Yin-Yang Vision allowed her to perceive supernatural elements.

And then there was Laser Vision.

Even at night, it could pierce through steel with ease. During the day, its power reached terrifying levels.

This ensured she still had offensive capability even when weakened.

After all, the weakness of the Sun, Sin of Arrogance was too severe to ignore.

Using her vision abilities, Nana quickly located P-City.

In the next instant, she vanished.

Reappearing a thousand meters away, she continued blinking across space in rapid succession, moving closer and closer to the city.

This was her Instant Movement, level 10.

Within a one-kilometer range, she could teleport freely.

Perfect for both pursuit and escape.
