Chapter 26 - Chapter 26 The Evolution of Bachira

Bachira, at this moment, felt like a completely different person than before.

He was fully immersed in this state, his mind constantly buzzing with flashes of inspiration on how to break through Kira Ryosuke's defense.

"Here I come," he said.

A curve formed on his lips as he dribbled the ball into Kira Ryosuke's defensive zone, using dazzling footwork to suddenly accelerate and burst through his block from the side.

"Oh—" Kira Ryosuke's eyes showed a hint of surprise; his opponent's speed was clearly much faster than before, but... he merely turned around.

He blocked Bachira again, saying, "You've really evolved, Bachira."

"But if this is all you've got, you won't get me excited."

"Oh?"

"Is that so?"

In response to the block, Bachira stuck out his tongue, his expression excited. "I know that simple tricks won't fool you."

"Then how about this move?"

With a playful laugh, he flicked the ball with his toe from behind, over both their heads, then accelerated and sprinted past after it landed.

At this moment, Kira Ryosuke, propelled by inertia, couldn't keep up with his speed.

If he hadn't witnessed Milmishes's defense before, Bachira might have indeed gotten past him with that move.

But now... Kira Ryosuke had learned the trick to defending that very play.

He subtly hooked Bachira's jersey, and taking advantage of the moment when his full body force stiffened the opponent, he quickly turned back in front of him.

"I see."

Bachira's eyes darted around. If that had happened in a real match, such a minor physical contact wouldn't be a foul, and Ryosuke had done it so subtly that even a referee might not have caught it in time.

"Ah, ah, this is a bit troublesome."

His fleeting inspiration was blocked, and Bachira was unwilling to give up. The black flames in his pupils grew more intense. "Then I'll evolve again. The monster inside me tells me I can still..."

"...become stronger."

Whoosh!

He suddenly stepped on the ball, leaning his back diagonally against Kira Ryosuke.

This not only temporarily deprived Ryosuke of his view of the ball but also allowed him to use his body strength to counter the significant disparity in their power.

"A very clever approach."

Kira Ryosuke also found it highly intriguing.

Bachira seemed to be immersed in a Flow State, constantly generating new soccer inspirations.

Without activating the Eye of the Heavenly Emperor, he couldn't accurately predict his opponent's offensive intentions.

It seemed like every rhythm shift was sudden, and even Bachira himself was just improvising, following the instincts of the monster within him to unleash dribbling abilities beyond the ordinary.

"Not enough, come on again."

Bachira exuded a cold aura, like a demon fallen into the abyss.

This was the second player, after Abel, who gave Kira Ryosuke goosebumps just from his dribbling.

He was also brimming with fighting spirit.

"Come on."

"Let me see how deep your obsession with soccer truly is."

Kira Ryosuke wasn't sure if Bachira had entered the Flow State, but he wouldn't give up easily. Under the influence of Metavision, he estimated that Bachira intended to use a Marseille Turn to shake him off.

Considering his dominant right foot, the best option to break through, maintain possession, and shoot would be to start with his right foot, change direction with his left, and then shoot for a goal.

So, without hesitation, the moment Bachira made his move, he aimed for the opening on the right, ready to intercept.

"Eh?"

Bachira was about to turn when he realized Kira Ryosuke had already blocked his path.

Amidst his surprise, a slight smile appeared on his face. "Ryosuke, you really are amazing..."

"But..."

Bachira forced the ball to a stop, and the blazing flames enveloped him, as if he had truly become a monster. "The current me feels like I can't be stopped."

With his back to Kira Ryosuke, he backheeled the ball and then turned to get past him.

"Nutmeg?"

Kira Ryosuke's eyes narrowed. "Don't underestimate me, Bachira."

Even if he misjudged, he hadn't lost his position; instead, he used a sudden burst of physical power to catch up again.

His intuition told him that the current Bachira was very dangerous!

Bachira smiled. "Oh, if it were anyone else, they would have been left behind by now, wouldn't they? You're so clingy, you won't be popular with girls like that."

"Mind your own business."

Kira Ryosuke didn't back down. "I'm already popular enough, and all I need in life is soccer."

His speed was incredibly fast.

Like an impenetrable wall, no matter what Bachira tried, he couldn't completely shake him off.

Bachira, however, was unconcerned.

The monster within him was like an omnipotent deity, transforming the path to the goal into inspiration that appeared in his mind.

Bachira laughed wildly.

He suddenly dribbled the ball to the right, using a delicate Elastico to disrupt Kira Ryosuke's balance.

"That move won't shake me off."

"No."

"It will." As Kira Ryosuke returned to position, Bachira suddenly reached out and placed his hand on his back.

The tiny movement was like the last straw that broke the camel's back.

Kira Ryosuke's off-balance body couldn't exert force, allowing Bachira to create space and send a precise curved shot steadily into the goal.

Whoosh!

In that instant, the monster seemed to let out a satisfying resonance.

This! This was the evolved Bachira Meguru, the dribbling monster of Blue Lock!

"Ryosuke, I won."

"I feel incredibly strong right now."

Kira Ryosuke, despite the loss, wasn't disheartened; he simply brushed the dust off himself.

The red glow in his pupils was like a full moon, enveloping the entire field.

"It was just one goal."

"Don't get too arrogant."

This time, he was going to get serious.

He didn't mind giving Bachira a small taste of victory, but taking a mile after an inch was unacceptable.

Twenty minutes later, Bachira looked dejectedly at Kira Ryosuke, who stood in front of the goal and gently tapped the ball in.

He smiled bitterly, "That's too much, Ryosuke."

"Your evolution speed is practically cheating."

During their solo match, Bachira couldn't stop Kira Ryosuke, neither on offense nor defense, as if all his efforts were nullified by those cold eyes.

If he were to describe this feeling of powerlessness, it would be like the monster inside him was a Dragon-level monster, and Kira Ryosuke was Saitama without hair.

The two were completely on different levels.

The final score: 10:1!

"Ah... ah, I lost again, but playing soccer with you is truly the best experience."

After a brief moment of confusion, Bachira lay sprawled on the soft green grass, marveling at the beauty of life.

Kira Ryosuke kicked his butt. "Don't try to change the subject, get up and pack your things, it's time to go back to sleep."

"Got it."

Seeing his little trick exposed, Bachira playfully stuck out his tongue and sat cross-legged on the grass. "Oh, by the way."

"Ryosuke, the match against Team V is in two days. Did you know their lineup also seems to have someone with a monster living inside them?"

"I wonder what kind of sparks will fly when we meet."

He was already looking forward to that day's match.

Regarding this, Kira Ryosuke's eyes also sparkled with an unusual light.

"Super Stop, huh..."

"Nagi Seishiro."
