After washing away the grime of neglect, I returned to the small bedroom where this body had slept—or rather suffered—these past weeks. Droplets of water still clung to my hair as I sat down on the bed, letting the silence settle around me.
The room was painfully bare. No portraits, no toys, no comforts a child of nobility should possess. Even the mattress seemed thin enough to feel the wooden frame beneath me.
It was ironic. I, who once slept atop drifting nebulae and forged palaces across galaxies, now sat on rags inside a forgotten corner of a human mansion.
Still… somehow, it felt peaceful.
I exhaled slowly. "This place truly has its own charm."
[Master seems surprisingly calm.]
"Calm?" I allowed a faint smile. "This is the most peace I've had in a very long time."
How strange. A new world… through a fragment of myself.
He leaned back against the pillow, gazing at the ceiling overhead as though seeing an unfamiliar sky.
"So… I am now Elias Raincraft," he murmured to himself. "A boy rejected by his own bloodline because he couldn't wield ether properly. Cast aside like a defective tool." Muttering that he recalled what he knew about this world from the memories he inherited.

The boy Elias Raincraft was the son of James and Cecile Raincraft. His father held the title of viscount in the kingdom of Lunara, a land known for its advanced studies in magic. And his family treated him and his sister with love and care, which turned into loathing the instant they found out his ability to wield ether was abysmal.
Being a military family, Elias's parents considered his lack of ether a mark of unworthiness. As a result, the position of heir was given to his sister, Lucia, while he suffered in obscurity. And it was unknown whether it was because he lacked talent and brought disgrace to the family or another reason he didn't know, but whenever his parents spotted him, they abused him mercilessly. And they also forbade him from using any resources provided by the family. That's why he chose the workers' area to bathe.
And when it comes to all that ether nonsense that caused his disinheritance and eventually his death, ether is the energy that permeates the world in abundance. Ether is used to cast spells; the more one possesses, the more spells one can cast—and stronger ones as well. And the amount of how much ether a person can use remains fixed at birth.
Meaning, unlike in his world where people awaken their mana cores and cultivate to higher planes of existence, this world lacks the concept of awakening and cultivation. And because it got revealed in the test three weeks ago that he possessed low ether, he got disinherited and became a subject of ridicule.
So much emotional trauma for a six-year-old to endure…
But possessing more ether alone didn't make someone a powerful mage. Mastery of the Ancient Text, the primordial script said to be channelled from the movement of creation itself, was equally essential. Without precise command of that language, even the vastest ether reserves amounted to nothing. In Lunara, scholars spent decades memorizing the language and syllables just to perform the simplest of spells. Proper recitation mattered, and how much ether each word needed to be channelled also mattered—one wrong tone could cause the spell to collapse, or worse, backlash.

I closed my eyes for a moment, absorbing these memories, and another realization quietly surfaced.
"This world is fundamentally limited… not because the energy is lacking, but because the system built around it is incomplete."
[Correct, Master. Compared to your world, this world is rudimentary and primitive. But you can bypass this limitation, and you can even create a bloodline suitable for cultivation in this world as there are many treasures in the system space.]
"True. But I never thought all those treasures which I considered as useless would become invaluable to me now."
As I immersed on my thoughts, the pulsing of shadows made me lift my head and see the figure of Ignis, who came out of the shadows and knelt in front of the bed.
"I've completed the task, my master."
"Good. Now take me there." I said as I rose from the bed and stood Infront of Ignis. And shortly the shadow below our feet pulsed and consumed us leaving the room empty.
******
The movement I stepped out of the shadows what greeted me is the freshness of the forest and the distant chirping of birds along with massive tress which are obstructing the sunlight. And a cave covered behind the growing bushes and vines that fell from the top of the cave.
"Where are we?" I asked as I looked at Ignis who stood a step behind me.
"Master this a small isolated island I fount in the ocean east of where you previously were. I don't know the name but this island is uninhibited and the fauna of this island is also non harmful for normal humans."
"Good. Now lead me towards the world orb."
"This way master." He said and stared walking into the cave which I followed behind. Shortly after at the end of the cave which looked like a chamber in the corner behind a naturally formed gaps lay the world orb absorbing the ether of this world which will flood the artifact and once it analyses the makings of the ether it will be able to replicate the signature of ether and will be capable of producing ether on its own without the need of absorbing outside worlds ether.
And you might ask how I'm capable of seeing in the darkness of the cave. Well the answer is simple, my talent shadow monarch allows me to see in the dark as if it was day and I can use all the abilities associated with the talent as it draws energy from shadow dimension to cast abilities despite my lack of ether or mana to cast abilities but I refrained because this body is too weak it will put a strain on this body.
And it also concerns my purpose of coming to this isolated island as I intend to restructure this body to be capable of creating something like ether core and begin my cultivation. With that thought I turned towards Ignis and said, "Stay guard as I undergo evolution."
"Certainly master."
"Hmm.." 'System'.
[All preparations are complete master. And I've placed a barrier around this island just in case, as your evolution might gather huge amount of ether towards you.]
"Thanks".[My pleasure master.]
With that I came to the centre of the chamber and retrieved a small vial filled with shining golden liquid and looked at its description.
=======================
Elixir of Soulweave (Mythical):
A miraculous potion crafted from ancient alchemy. Once consumed, the liquid flows directly into the soul of the one who consumes it and reads the hidden memories, talents and ancestry engraved within one's soul, uncovering everything that was lost, sealed, or forgotten. After understanding the true nature of the soul, the elixir begins rebuilding the body from the inside. The physique gradually changes into a form that matches the potential buried deep within the soul. Most importantly, this elixir doesn't just strengthen the body—it awakens bloodlines. Whether a forgotten ancestral bloodline or one that never existed before, the elixir reshapes the body into the most suitable vessel for the soul and gives birth to a new lineage.
=======================
After confirming the description, I lifted the vial and swallowed it in one motion.
At once, the liquid dissolved into radiant energy. Instead of flowing downward, it rushed straight into my spiritual centre and vanished. An instant later, I felt something penetrating the depths of my soul—reading, judging, analysing every piece of existence I carried from countless lifetimes.
Then, the essence flowed back into my physical body.
That was when the agony began.
An intense force surged into my spine, merging with the marrow. My bones vibrated violently as the elixir shattered every cell and replaced them with new ones filled with dormant power.
My blood boiled. My nerves screamed. My body burned and froze simultaneously.
If this fragile human shell was all I possessed, I would have died a thousand times. But I endured. I had endured far worse.
Eventually, warmth blossomed from my spine. Golden specks formed, slowly merging into my bloodstream. My blood was turning into something else—something greater.
When the final drop of essence faded, silence enveloped me.
I opened my eyes.
Twin nebula like lights pierced the darkness like rubies glowing in the night.
Elias Raincraft—had begun his rebirth.
