"Lazrel, your mission is to disguise yourself as an ordinary citizen along with Velnarion. You must evacuate with the townspeople, as the angels are likely to abduct children once the battle begins," Rynel said firmly.
He then looked at each of his subordinates.
"Seraphine, your task is to create an energy shield to withstand enemy attacks. When the Tsar bomb enters your shield, seal the chamber immediately to prevent it from destroying the surroundings.
Ultima, protect Seraphine from all enemy assaults.
And Zareth, you will act as a scout. Let one angel escape, then follow them. Find out their base and report their plan to me."
Rynel raised his hand, staring at Lazrel.
"And for you, Lazrel… I will lend you my power."
Lazrel bowed deeply. "Understood, my lord."
Rynel closed his eyes and whispered softly,
'Soul Weaver – Soulflow Manipulation.'
A soft blue light shot from his palms into Lazrel's body.
A mechanical voice echoed in the air—
[Great Sage: Energy Controller successfully granted.]
Rynel gave a faint smile. "Very well, everyone is ready. Return to your positions."
After his subordinates disappeared, Rynel walked to the lounge. His friend's wife arrived carrying tea and some snacks.
"Please enjoy, sir," she said gently.
"Thank you," Rynel replied with a weary smile.
"Did the meeting go well?" she asked.
"Yes… it went smoothly. But it was exhausting. This afternoon, I must meet the army commander to warn them. For now, I need a short rest."
🌆 Afternoon — Government Building
As agreed, the commander waited for Rynel in front of the building.
"I've contacted the lawyers," he said. "But they don't believe what I told them. So… you'll have to speak to them yourself."
Rynel nodded and stepped inside.
Inside the room, cameras and reporters filled every corner. They immediately rushed forward with questions:
"Are you really the Demon King?"
"Is the news about the angel attack true?"
The commotion escalated until the commander shouted, "Silence!"
The room fell silent.
"You may speak, Mr. Rynel," the commander said.
Rynel stared sharply at all of them.
"What must I do to make you believe me?"
One reporter replied, "Show us your power! Demon King Haki, or magic, so we can be convinced!"
Rynel exhaled. "If that's what you want."
A dark purple aura filled the room.
The air vibrated—reporters fell to their knees, bodies trembling in fear.
"W-what is this…? My body… I can't move!"
Rynel then lowered his hand, drawing a sword from thin air.
Magical light formed a sharp blade.
"Sorry, Commander. I have to hurt you a little."
The commander looked at him without hesitation. "It's fine, do it."
Rynel swung his sword, leaving a wound on the commander's shoulder.
Reporters panicked. "Why did you hurt him!?"
Rynel calmly looked at them. "Calm down."
'Mizu Recovery.'
A blue light enveloped the commander—the wound healed completely, leaving no trace. Everyone was stunned.
"That… impossible. A wound that deep… completely gone!?"
Afterward, the national television broadcasted the emergency press conference.
The commander announced firmly:
"Tomorrow morning, all citizens will be evacuated to safe locations. A major tragedy is imminent. Soldiers and security forces will pick you up."
The entire city panicked. People packed quickly, and the news spread rapidly.
☀️ The Next Morning
That morning, Rynel met the commander to assist with the evacuation.
In the meeting room, a reporter said, "We want to broadcast the battle live!"
Everyone fell silent.
"Are you crazy?" shouted a council member. "This isn't an ordinary tragedy—it's a war against angels and spirits!"
But the reporter remained firm. "We want the world to see the soldiers' struggle and the Demon King helping us. The broadcast money will be used to treat my sick sibling."
The room was silent.
Rynel studied him for a moment and said, "Very well."
He raised his hand.
'Soul Weaver – Barrier.'
A white light enveloped the reporter.
[Great Sage: Barrier successfully granted.]
"Now, try saying 'Barrier'," Rynel instructed.
The reporter obeyed. "Barrier!"
Instantly, a transparent shield formed around him. Everyone present was astonished.
Rynel explained gently, "This is an energy shield. But if it starts to crack—run as far from the battle as possible."
The reporter bowed deeply. "Thank you…"
🏚️ Citizen Evacuation
Rynel and the commander went from house to house.
Finally, they arrived at a closed house, from which screams could be heard.
They approached and knocked while calling out,
"Hello! Come out immediately! This is an evacuation order!"
But the voices inside grew louder.
"HEY HELP! QUICK BEFORE I DIE!"
"WAIT! I'M STILL PLAYING, DON'T GO AHEAD ALONE!"
The commander sighed. "They… don't need help. They need a new life."
Rynel raised an eyebrow. "Let's go in and warn them."
They opened the door and found two young men immersed in a game, headsets covering their ears, oblivious to the outside world.
"Hurry and evacuate!" the commander shouted firmly.
One of them replied without looking up, "Yeah, yeah, just a sec! The boss is almost dead!"
The other added, "If we lose, we restart from the beginning—"
The commander, frustrated, looked at Rynel. "Can I destroy their devices?"
Rynel smiled faintly. "Relax. I have a better way."
He raised his hands and whispered, "Teleport."
A magic circle appeared in the center of the room.
The commander was astonished. "You can teleport!?"
Rynel just smiled.
He approached the two gamers, grabbed each by the collar, and lifted them like chicks.
"Hey! Forgive us! You're a girl—why are you so strong!?" one panicked.
Rynel replied flatly, "Because I'm tired of watching fools."
They screamed again before being thrown into the portal.
"WAIT, I DIDN'T BRING MY CONSOLE!"
Then they vanished instantly.
The commander looked at Rynel, a mix of admiration and exhaustion on his face.
"Why didn't you say you could teleport from the start!? That would have sped up the evacuation!"
Rynel smiled lightly.
"If I said I could teleport, you'd all get lazy."
🌅 Approaching the Battle
The next day, all citizens had been evacuated.
Rynel and the commander stood before the refugee post.
"Commander, don't reveal who I really am," Rynel said.
"If they know I'm the Demon King, it'll be chaos."
The commander nodded. "True. They only believe what they can see."
Rynel then asked for a communication device.
"Give one to my subordinate. When the bombers launch, tell him to activate the shield."
The commander handed it over.
Afterward, Rynel bid farewell and opened a portal to his world.
"Teleport World."
A blue portal opened.
He looked at his friend and said, "I'll return with the army. When the war ends, I'll take you to my world."
The portal slowly swallowed him.
☁️ Angel Headquarters
Far away, seven angels gathered in a luminous hall.
"Sixteen angels have not returned," one said.
"Do we proceed with the plan?"
Azradiel, the Dimension Angel, replied calmly, "Of course. Humans cannot touch us. They're probably just enjoying the lower world before we destroy it."
The angels' names were called one by one:
Azradiel, Dimension Angel
Seraphion, Guardian Angel
Lazarion, Angel of Life and Death
Chronael, Time-Controlling Angel
Orvian, Guardian Angel
Pyraeth, Fire Angel
Oblivar, Angel of Destruction
Aegreon, Combat Angel
"Pyraeth and Oblivar," said Azradiel, "your mission is to abduct the children.
Aegreon, you will destroy the human military center."
🌄 The Day of Tragedy
The next morning, as dawn broke, the entire human army assembled on the battlefield.
Reporters broadcast the tense situation live. The air vibrated, signaling something massive was about to happen.
Suddenly, the sky split—a huge rift tore through the clouds, emitting blinding light. From within the light, a supreme angel and a massive dragon appeared.
Below them, hundreds of teleportation circles formed in the air, spinning slowly and shining brightly. From each circle, angelic troops armed with radiant weapons emerged, filling the sky like a rain of stars.
At the refugee center, citizens watching on TV or live stream froze, pale-faced.
"What… what is that… they have wings…"
"And… a dragon too?!"
"Is this… the tragedy they warned about?"
"We… humans can't possibly fight them!"
"This must be a dream… yes, we're all dreaming…"
At the command center far from the battlefield, the Human Army Commander stared at the giant screen broadcasting the battle live.
Sweat dripped from his forehead.
"Demon King… why hasn't he appeared yet?" he murmured anxiously.
"Has he… betrayed us?"
