The fang of the underworld - chapter 12
Location"hell forest"
After finally getting the shard from Aeolus, they move to the hellhound nest—but here's the thing...they don't know where it is. Or do they? Because Noah knows. Clarita asked, "I thought you basically just exist." Noah rolled his eyes. "I am son of Hermes. I've been to places you would dream to witness."
Through investigation, they found themselves in a hell-like forest. It didn't take long for them to be attacked by hellhounds. They made quick work of them, Arthur slashing with one hand, since the other he basically doesn't feel. Prism dark shards weakened him; he carried the poison of attacks.
The POV shifts to Camp Half-Blood
showing Leyla trying to convince Angila to join her in trying to change the system of the camp. Angila refused. "Everything is a prophecy and set to be done. We can't change something set long before time." She turned to leave, but as Leyla tried to stop her, a thread of Angila brushed her shoulder. Suddenly, Leyla didn't want to go further into the topic. For some reason, she just felt it that way.
POV back to the fight—with Cerberus.
At that time, thinking in efficient ways, they learned that their divine gifts had certain ways to be used. Clarita and Elizabeth stood on parallel sides from each other before casting the shadow near. But an arrow suddenly cut between them in a split second. Jack split the arrows and looked. It was the Demigod Hunters. And they weren't alone. Their leader, the one they call the Warlord—son of the god of slavery and control—appeared.
He scanned the place. "Three titled Demigods in one spot. Why am I even here?" he said arrogantly. Jack stepped forward. "Do you hope to die?"
The man laughed. He pointed his finger at Cerberus. "Bond." Suddenly, the dog's eyes turned red as it began to attack even faster, stronger. Each hit created volcanic-like effects, leaving trails of heatwaves around it. Arthur had enough. He raised his hand at Cerberus. "Prison."
The son of Garon suddenly made a dark prison around Arthur as he laughed. "You're the strongest, are you?" He then introduced himself. "I am Maron Scott, son of Garon, the chosen of Garon, the god of control. And now, I bond you to be my pawn."
Suddenly the prison burst open. The sheer energy of its explosion sent Maron flying. Arthur's will was too hard to force into submission"I been chained in darker chain befor"Arthur said. Jack grinned. "That's why he's our strongest. You can't eat what you can't chew."
Maron smirked. "Bye then~ Kill them, hellhound. I bond you to water." He disappeared realizing what Arthur is acknowledging that Arthur are weaken by the shards as he was a dirty and scumbag but he would fight Arthur when he's in full power. Cerberus suddenly attacked with water attacks, molten lava, and all. What did that person just do the hound make beams of energy water energy breaking the ground but
Noah hid behind a tree, using his ability secretly. "Dark consumption." Darkness suddenly wrapped around Cerberus, ripping it to pieces. But then Othrys Maw erupted—the ground split open as a colossal beast appeared. His roar broke the sound barriers, causing earthquakes, crushing the ground as volcanoes nearby erupted from the pressure of the howl. It charged, unleashing a powerful storm of flame. It vanished into shadow, then with its tail smashed Arthur, almost breaking his back. As Arthur was flung, it charged another shadow beam, hitting them. As they landed, they summoned shadow clones, reviving the dead nearby the beams.
As the fight escalated, Prism wasn't enough. They needed PRISM—the full, synchronized strike. Arthur and Clarita unleashed the attack at the same time, hitting the same side effects of the power. The impact sent them flying, leaving marks on their hands: golden patterns of Prism glowing fiercely that prism different than Arthur one why? Since they we're two they hit and reflected each other hitting multiple places basically like mirrors as the attacks bounce as Arthur would call it if he ever name it(reflective prism)
The god roared, his essence being struck by Prism, purifying the corruption inside him. Arthur fell to his knees, panting, his voice shaking.
"I hate my limitations… and I hate you," he growled. He snapped his hand back from the impact—dislocating his arm—but the defiance in his eyes burned bright.
Noah, still hidden, muttered to himself, "Should I do it…? Use the Black Serpent artifact? I will."
Before he could act, the hellhound fired a beam at him. Reflexively, Noah reflected it—and the blast struck the hound. In an instant, the creature's worst fear manifested before his eyes.
But to the group, the hound simply disappeared, leaving only the crystal behind. They grabbed it and fled as Arthur's strength waned—now burdened with three crystals.
As Noah appeared from behind the tree"did he die?"as the group complain"where the hell you was?"jack said as Noah shrugged"goods know where"as they pressure him that he didn't help he laughed"I did I just was too fast for you guys"clearly a facade but to them it might be true
POV shifted. The hound, alone, watched a new figure materialize before him: a creature of pure darkness. Tall, unnervingly normal in build, but uncanny. No expression. Just a red, bloody mouth twisting as it turned its head toward the hound, eyes locked on its prey the person twist his face as his mouth now was in place of his eyes.
The chapter ended there.
