Chapter 70 - Chapter 70 — Brother-in-Law

"Cao Yang! I treated you like a brother, and you mess with my sister?!"

Lei Dian glared at Cao Yang, who was on top of his own sister. His anger boiled over. He had been happy just seeing him safe, and now this guy was… violating his sister!

Cao Yang's reflexes were sharp. The moment Lei Dian kicked the door open, he pulled a blanket over them, covering the scene.

Still, facing Lei Dian's roar, he felt awkward. She wasn't his wife, but having a good buddy sleep with his sister? Strange vibes all around.

"Uh… uh… Lei Dian, Yu Jie and I truly care for each other," he said, voice dry and stiff.

"Truly?!" Lei Dian's eyes scanned his sister's tear-streaked face. No way—Cao Yang must have gone wild, forcing her.

Just as he was about to explode, Lei Yu spoke shyly:

"We're both willing. Now go away!"

Being caught by her younger brother was embarrassing enough. Worse, she had previously spoken badly of Cao Yang, warning Lei Dian to stay away. And now here she was, tangled with him… face-slapping herself in her own mind.

"You two better give me a reasonable explanation."

Lei Dian slammed the door and sat on the sofa, waiting for them to come out and talk.

But no sooner had he sat down than he heard her moaning again.

He froze. He thought they'd quickly dress and explain. Never in his life did he expect this pair to continue…

One was his own sister, the other his best buddy. They didn't treat him as an outsider, but apparently, not as human either!

Lei Yu didn't want this either; it was Cao Yang's fault for pushing things.

Cao Yang didn't mean to. The awkward tension was unbearable, so he decided on a quick resolution—Lei Yu couldn't help herself, could he blame him?

After a while, they finally emerged, dressed.

Lei Dian glared at Cao Yang. "I treated you like my best brother. How could you do this?"

"This isn't bad at all! Now we're true brothers. From now on, I'm your brother-in-law!"

"Damn it! Be honest. Did you force my sister?"

"No." Cao Yang shook his head. "Ask her yourself if you don't believe me."

Lei Dian looked at Lei Yu. "Sis, tell him! If he hurt you, I wouldn't be afraid to take him down!"

"Slap!" Lei Yu smacked his forehead. "Mind your own business!"

Lei Dian felt wronged. I'm worried about you, and you hit me?

"Hey… don't hit him. He's grown. Leave him some face." Cao Yang played the peacemaker.

"I'm educating my brother; mind your business." Lei Yu glared at him.

"Alright, alright… let's not talk about this. It's been a while since we've met—let's go out for a good meal. My treat."

Cao Yang dragged Lei Dian out. Seeing Lei Yu not follow, he gave her a questioning look.

"You go. I'm a bit tired."

Cao Yang led Lei Dian downstairs. Lei Dian kept a sour expression the whole way.

Cao Yang laughed, placing a hand on his shoulder, and recounted his recent experiences—full of excitement and twists.

Sure enough, Lei Dian got drawn in, asking question after question.

Cao Yang talked endlessly, explaining he'd joined Yihehui and would soon introduce Yang Le.

Lei Dian recalled that the last batch of smuggled electronics he handled was organized by Yang Le, though they didn't know each other.

Yang Le delegated to a subordinate, who passed it on to a third party, who contacted Lei Dian—several layers deep.

Lei Dian nodded and then brought up Lei Yu.

"Cao Yang, you better not get involved with my sister again. I don't like it."

"You're thinking small. She's a woman—she'll marry eventually. You can't forbid her forever just because you're her protector!"

"What protector nonsense? I'm not! I don't oppose her dating or marrying, but I don't want it to be you."

"What's wrong with me? Discrimination?"

"I want her to marry a good man."

"And what's that supposed to mean? Am I not a good man?"

"Do you really think you are? Check yourself."

"I think I'm fine!"

"Bull! You've got a messy relationship with that wild sister of yours, now you're hitting on mine. How is that being a good man?"

"Hey… it's just that our feelings clicked. No one can control it. I didn't want this either!"

"Will you marry my sister?"

Cao Yang hadn't considered it, but he had to say something nice.

"Sure. When feelings are right, we'll talk marriage."

"I spit! You're not allowed to marry her!"

"Why not?"

"I'm afraid if she marries you, she'll become a widow sooner or later!"

"Then I won't marry her, just have fun."

"You bastard! Only a beast would say that!"

"If I marry her and you forbid me, and I don't marry her and you scold me—what exactly do you want?"

"You better never sleep with her again!"

"Why? Once, twice—it's still the same. A hundred times or two hundred times, still the same. What's the difference?"

Lei Dian was furious! He couldn't beat Cao Yang in argument or fight, pounding his fists on a tree in rage.

"Alright, calm down. Brother-in-law will show you the world."

Cao Yang took Lei Dian to Lushan International. Lei Dian was overwhelmed by the sight—this was just daytime; nights were even more lively.

Cao Yang booked a room for him. Lei Dian looked around, confused.

Soon, a fair-skinned, beautiful, long-legged girl entered. She bowed. "Welcome, VIP. I'm Xiao He, from Sichuan."

Lei Dian's eyes widened. A beauty like Xiao He? In his world, she was goddess-level.

He looked at Cao Yang, his sour expression replaced by a smile. "Brother-in-law, what's this about?"

"When the brother-in-law enjoys himself, he ensures you enjoy too. Have fun. I'll pay!" Cao Yang laughed and left the room.

"Thanks, brother-in-law!" Lei Dian eagerly tried to exchange experiences with the girl.

Cao Yang went to the front desk to pay. Even as an internal core member, rules were rules—everyone paid, even Jie Ge, though he probably wouldn't come.

"Brother Chuan," he encountered Qin Chuan, the brothel manager, at checkout.

Qin Chuan smiled at Cao Yang. "Big Brother wants to see you. Go to his office."

Cao Yang headed to the seventh-floor office, where both Jie Ge and Hu Qing were present.

Tang Shaojie, getting ready to leave, saw him.

Hu Qing smiled at Cao Yang. "I hear you called a hostess. Finished so fast?"

"I didn't… it wasn't me," Cao Yang hurriedly explained—it was for a friend.

"Alright, stop teasing him."

Tang Shaojie patted Cao Yang on the shoulder. "Come out with me for a bit."
