"I'm gonna…! Cao Yang, you bastard! You have zero sense of responsibility! You think you're the Hall Master?Don't you dare come back! If you do, I'll use the Hongmen forces to kill you!"
Situ Meixin was fuming, screaming like a banshee, completely losing her composure.
Just a few days ago, she told him to give her a heads-up for any important matter. Cao Yang had nodded obediently. Now, without warning, he's rushing off to another city—right in the middle of critical negotiations—forcing her to step in and handle things herself. And seriously… who the hell is the Hall Master here?
Cao Yang was dumbfounded. It's just visiting some "relatives." Why is she so angry?
To him, Situ Meixin was usually elegant, refined, and poised. How could she act like a shrew today?
Did he go too far?
After all, Loyal Hall originally belonged to her. He was just managing it, unpaid, as a favor.
"Brother Cao Yang, over here!" Cao Yiyue waved enthusiastically.
Cao Yang shook his head, stepped forward—and saw Nancy and Nanda as well.
"Heading home too?" he asked.
Nancy smiled."Yeah, just home for the holidays."
Nanda nodded lightly, keeping a cool demeanor.
There were no direct flights from the U.S. to Nanluo. They had to connect through Thailand.
Hours later, they arrived at Bangkok Airport.
Nancy suggested sightseeing first, but Nanda refused.Cao Yiyue also refused.
Nanda worried about safety. Cao Yiyue wanted to get home quickly.
"Got tickets?" Cao Yang asked, noticing they hadn't booked yet.
"No need. A private plane is picking us up."
"No way… Is my face really that big? Great-grandpa must really care about me. I feel embarrassed."
Nancy covered her mouth, giggling.Cao Yiyue blushed and whispered to Cao Yang,"It's for Nanda and Nancy. We're just tagging along."
Cao Yang's face remained thick-skinned. He whispered back,"So… they're even more powerful than you back home?"
Cao Yiyue glanced at the siblings and whispered,"Nanda's a prince, Nancy's a princess. Both are children of the king. Watch your words—don't repeat what you said last time."
Cao Yang was stunned. He always knew they were special—but royalty? He hadn't imagined it.
Just as he processed the shock, he sensed danger.
Cao Yang immediately tensed, scanning the area.
Two short South Asian figures approached—a man and a woman, each dragging luggage, appearing like a couple.
The Han family?
Cao Yang's first thought: the Han family sent them to kill him.He had no weapons, fists clenched, ready to strike the moment they entered range.
But they weren't coming for him—they headed straight toward Nanda and Nancy.
Realization hit. They were after the prince and princess.
In a flash—less than two seconds—two assassins lunged at the siblings.Cao Yang instinctively tried to intervene, but he didn't even get the chance.
The siblings' bodyguards were far from ordinary.
Four bodyguards confronted the two assassins.Though Cao Yang was unarmed, the assassins wielded hidden knives. The bodyguards were cut and stabbed, but ultimately subdued the killers.
The commotion drew a crowd. Airport police rushed in to control the scene.
Nanda, Nancy, and Cao Yiyue gathered, staring at the two subdued attackers.
"What's going on?" the police demanded, herding passengers away.
"Follow me to the station," an officer said, planning to question the siblings.
They complied.
As they turned, one officer pulled out a syringe and aimed for Nanda's neck.
"Brother!" Nancy screamed."Prince, watch out!" Cao Yiyue shouted.
At that moment, Cao Yang's iron grip seized the officer's wrist. With a loud crack, the wrist broke, the syringe dropped.
"What are you doing?""Let him go!"
"Hands on your head! Squat down!"
The remaining officers were confused, guns aimed at the four.
In the vast airport hall, dozens of barrels trained on them, Cao Yang had no choice. He complied, squatting and holding his head.
"I'm the Prince of Nanluo! Your police tried to kill me!" Nanda shouted, but no one listened.
The four, plus their bodyguards and the two assassins, were taken to the station.
At the station, identities were checked. Cao Yang was still registered as Japanese citizen Asou Ichiyo.
When Nanda and Nancy declared their royal status, officers noticed their serious demeanor and professional-looking bodyguards. They realized these were no ordinary people and treated them with respect. The Nanluo Ambassador in Thailand was contacted to verify their identities.
While waiting for confirmation, they were treated well—tea and snacks were served. They just couldn't leave.
Nanda paced angrily, contemplating who wanted him dead.
Suddenly, he bumped into Cao Yang and offered a sincere smile, then embraced him tightly.
"Brother Cao Yang, thank you."Had Cao Yang not intervened, that mysterious syringe would have injected something into him.
"No problem. We're in this together," Cao Yang patted his shoulder.
Nancy followed, hugging him as well.
Cao Yang froze. She usually wore loose clothes, but hugging her now, he felt her strength.
"Thank you for saving my brother. You saved me too," she blushed.
"You're welcome. It's what anyone would do."
"Brother Cao Yang…""You want a hug too?"
Cao Yiyue shook her head, blushing.
Soon, the Nanluo Ambassador arrived.Seeing the siblings, he saluted respectfully.
"Prince and Princess, you've been alarmed."
Nanda waved him off."No need for formalities outside. Just find out who tried to kill me!"
The Ambassador immediately reported back home.
The Nanluo King, learning his children were attacked in Thailand, personally called the Thai King to demand a full investigation.
Thailand treated it seriously, investigating the assassins and the rogue officer.
But because of earlier negligence, the officer wasn't detained in time, and the two assassins were killed during escape attempts.
Cao Yang's timely intervention had saved the prince—and prevented an international incident.
