Cao Yang followed Diana into her room. The moment they entered, Diana began undressing.
"Miss Diana, show some restraint!" Cao Yang warned, trying to look serious and upright.
Diana just smiled at him and continued to remove her clothes, paying no attention.
She was a foreign girl, but not overly voluptuous—slim and delicate.
"Stop laughing. If you have something to say, say it. Why are you undressing?"
"I'll take a shower first. After that, I'll talk to you. Wait a moment."
Diana walked into the bathroom, leaving Cao Yang sitting there, restless.
He had been in the U.S. for some time, but hadn't been with a foreign woman yet.
He hadn't been with any woman since leaving China—this period had been particularly frustrating.
When she comes out, should he pretend to resist a bit first, or just go straight for it?
And if she asks him to do something for her afterward…?
Damn it, whatever! He'd deal with that later. As for helping her, he could always claim he was powerless.
Lost in his thoughts, the bathroom door opened, and Diana stepped out completely nude.
"Cao, you're the most handsome Asian man I've ever seen. May I invite you to spend a wonderful night with me?"
"Oh my God, how shocking!"
Diana's small mouth dropped in surprise—she had discovered the secret.
Cao Yang had originally planned to play it proper, the classic three refusals, three consents, but before he could even speak, his body betrayed him. Refusing now would look hypocritical.
He sneered inwardly, "Just wait, there'll be a time for your tears later."
Just as they were about to begin, a loud knock at the door interrupted them.
Both froze. Cao Yang frowned toward the door.
"Cao Yang, are you in there?"
Cao Yiyue's voice came from outside.
"I'm not!"
Outside, Cao Yiyue sensed something was off, but couldn't figure out exactly what.
"Let's go, Cao Yang's not here."
Nancy cast a sidelong glance at her, suspecting she was pretending to be clueless."Who's speaking then, if he's not in there?"
"Oh, right, right…" Cao Yiyue finally realized.
"Cao Yang, stop playing around. Come out and join the party!"
"Mm, you guys go ahead, I'll come soon."
Cao Yang just wanted to deal with Diana; he had zero interest in some stupid party.
Yet the two outside were stubborn—either genuinely unaware or deliberately preventing him from enjoying himself.
"Cao Yang, what are you doing in there? I remember this is Miss Diana's room. Don't do anything bad!"
"I'm just catching up with Miss Diana. Go ahead; I'll come out soon."
Cao Yiyue didn't know what to say, while Nancy looked displeased.
"Cao Yang, come out immediately. You can't be rude to our foreign guests!"
Cao Yang thought: They're willing participants, why do you care?
He gestured to Diana, hoping she could say something.
Before she could, they heard the door open.
This was the only five-star hotel in Luotai City. Despite its high standard, it still used the old-fashioned key system.
Outside were the general's granddaughter and a princess. They demanded the door be opened, and the staff dared not refuse.
Cao Yang cursed under his breath and quickly tightened his belt.
Diana hastily wrapped herself in a blanket to cover her nudity.
This damn hotel—so disrespectful of privacy!
"What are you two doing?"
Nancy and her companion stared at the clothes scattered on the floor.
"We were just about to, but before we could, you two barged in!" Cao Yang replied honestly, clearly annoyed.
"Cao Yang, today is my father's birthday. According to our Nanluo customs, no inappropriate acts are allowed today!"
"Such a custom exists?" Cao Yang looked at Cao Yiyue. The girl avoided eye contact, clearly indicating that this ridiculous custom was invented by Nancy.
He wondered: why should what he does with Diana concern them? Why make up a fake custom to deceive him?
Could it be Nancy had a crush on him?
Neither Cao Yang nor Cao Yiyue understood, exchanging helpless glances.
"The party is about to start. You two need to come with me."
"It's an important celebration—the most grand festival in our country. Refusing would show disrespect to my father, the king."
That statement effectively trapped them. In Nanluo, disrespecting the king was suicidal!
Diana dressed and the four went downstairs together.
The "party" turned out to be a bonfire gathering, with people eating, singing, drinking, dancing, and wrestling.
It was organized by Nanluo's youth themselves; no ministers attended, and the king wasn't present.
Cao Yang realized he'd been tricked.
But since he was here, he decided to make the best of it—drink and enjoy the performances for now, and deal with Diana afterward.
"Cao Yang, welcome to Nanluo," Nancy raised a large cup of wine in a toast.
"Princess, you flatter me." Cao Yang drank it in one go.
"This is our traditional dance. How do you like it?"
Around the bonfire, girls in ethnic attire danced joyfully.
Cao Yang nodded, "Not bad. Very beautiful."
Nancy smiled, "It's more fun if you join in."
Without waiting for him, she draped a jacket over him, matching the ethnic costume.
Cao Yang didn't understand the gesture.
Princess Nancy personally helped him put it on."Come, let's dance together."
Nancy pulled him into the fire circle. Her movements were natural and carefree—kicking and raising her hands. Cao Yang, unpracticed, felt awkward as he was forced onto the stage.
Cao Yiyue poured a glass of fine wine for Diana and smiled at the dance floor."Miss Diana, what do you think of my Cao Yang?"
"The princess invited him as her dance partner. Your Cao Yang is very charming."
Cao Yiyue smiled, "In Nanluo, if a girl actively invites a boy to dance, it usually means she's interested. You'd better keep your distance, or you'll cause trouble if the princess gets upset."
Diana's expression darkened."Miss Cao, are you warning me?"
Cao Yiyue shook her head, smiling."You're a distinguished guest. I wouldn't warn you, just a friendly reminder."
Diana fell silent, a fire igniting in her heart. She hated being threatened. Originally, she had planned to seduce Cao Yang to get him to help her, giving him a little reward. Now, just to prove a point, she was determined to sleep with him!
But she wasn't impulsive—here, on someone else's territory, anything could go wrong. Once back in the U.S., she could act on her own terms.
