For several long moments after Aurora's words, silence lingered over the clearing. Hunter appeared to be searching for another angle to attack from while the gathered tribe members exchanged uncertain glances. Asher remained standing where he was, unwavering and calm despite having essentially placed his own reputation on the line.
Meanwhile, Elixir looked entirely too amused by the situation for someone who technically wasn't even a member of the Wolf Tribe.
Before anyone could speak further, Aurora decided she had heard enough. Her voice wasn't particularly loud. Yet in the sudden silence, every single person present heard it clearly.
"Zar is out of danger."
The simple statement immediately cut through the tension hanging over the gathering.
Aurora wasn't looking at Hunter. She wasn't looking at the crowd either. Her gaze remained fixed on Asher who had turned to face her.
"He should regain consciousness within the next few hours."
