"What are you doing?" Aurora asked as Zale pulled her closer.
Without a word, he lowered his forehead until it rested gently against hers, causing Aurora to freeze.
It wasn't an intimate embrace, nor was it forceful. Their foreheads were simply touching, and then, something warm flowed through her. It wasn't physical, instead it felt as though a gentle wave had washed directly through her soul.
Her eyes widened in shock. "What-"
Before she could finish speaking, the warmth spread further, and her eyelids drifted shut on their own. Darkness claimed her vision, only for it to be replaced by something else.
