Chapter 219 - Different Breed of Chickens

Rain continued falling lightly throughout the day, eliminating the need to carry water manually.

Aurora took advantage of the weather to explain why this season was ideal for beginning a farm.

"The rain is doing half the work for us," she said while watching tiny droplets disappear into the freshly prepared earth. "The seeds will drink naturally, and the soil won't dry out before they sprout."

She also warned them against becoming overconfident. Too much water could rot roots, weeds would compete with crops, and birds or small animals might steal seeds.

Farming, she emphasized, wasn't simply planting and waiting. It required patience, observation, and constant care. Unlike hunting, where success depended on a single day, farming rewarded consistency over many weeks.
