Chapter 12 - 12

On the Poseidon ship, Roy breathed the fresh sea air, and his heart was still a little excited.

Finally, he was on the way to the Hunter x Hunter quiz.

Eighteenth came over at this time and said, "It has been clearly confirmed that this trip of the Seagod will only stop at three piers to accept registered candidates. One is Peanutton, one is the Old Silver Mountain where we boarded, and the last is Whale Island."

Eighteenth showed unusual concern for this Hunter test, and it was imperative for her to obtain a hunter's license.

Looking around the Seagod ship, Roy saw many people already moving about. That meant the ship had already stopped at Peanutton, and Old Silver Mountain was the pier they had just departed from. The next and final stop would be Whale Island.

"Whale Island? Hedgehog head, red eyes, and…"

Roy glanced at Eighteenth, thinking of a certain young man and the uncle whose eyes turned into money signs at the sight of his daughter-in-law.

"The strength of these people is really weak. At this level, they still want to participate in the Hunter test?"

Eighteenth looked around casually and gave her evaluation of everyone on board.

Roy yawned. Indeed, their strength was weak. Most of them would panic the moment a storm hit, and the only ones who could officially take the test would likely be the trio from Whale Island.

But with Roy and Eighteenth involved, everything was uncertain.

Roy and Eighteenth were not interested in the people on board, but the people were very interested in them—or rather, in Eighteenth specifically.

"This beautiful young lady, are you also here to take the Hunter test?"

A shirtless bald man walked over with a lewd smile as he spoke to her.

Many others nearby looked over as well, pointing and making strange laughs.

"Follow me. I'm one of the best boxers in Peanut. I can definitely take you through the Hunter test, as long as on the way you…"

Bang.

The bald man flew out violently, slammed into the railing, and his teeth scattered across the deck. Blood pooled beneath him. His condition was miserable.

"Ah, sorry. You said you're one of the best boxers, so I wanted to compete with you. But I didn't expect you to fall with just one punch."

Roy withdrew his fist and said sorry, though his face showed he did not care at all.

He then looked around.

Boom.

Everyone else on the ship swallowed hard when they saw the bald man's miserable state. When Roy glanced their way, they immediately looked elsewhere.

"Done."

Roy gave Eighteenth a V-sign. Eighteenth smiled, her eyes growing gentler.

"Hey! Boy, if you break something, you have to pay for it. Especially the railing."

The first mate, who had been watching the commotion, came over with a joking smile. Obviously, Roy's display of strength surprised him.

"I'm sorry, I don't have any money with me. Besides, the railing was broken by that bald head. You can ask him for it."

Roy refused directly. Then he remembered something, his eyes flashing with interest.

"Mr. First Mate."

"Huh?" The first mate turned back, confused.

"Are there any rules to follow on this ship?"

"Rules?"

The first mate was stunned, then showed a strange expression.

"Anyone who signs up for the Hunter test is basically signing a life and death certificate. Even if you die during the test, it has nothing to do with the Hunter Association."

Roy smiled after hearing that.

He knew that the voyage itself was part of the Hunter test. The captain of the Poseidon was the examiner in charge of this preliminary selection. Since the sailing process counted as part of the life-and-death range of the exam, the first mate naturally understood why Roy asked that question.

He had already guessed that this strong young man might know the test had already begun.

After getting the answer he wanted, Roy slowly drew the sword behind his back and smiled at the other examinees.

"Hand over everything valuable. I'm robbing you."

When the bald man tried something dirty earlier, everyone else did nothing but snicker and make obscene jokes.

The sword Roy drew was the blade of Future Trunks from Dragon Ball, which he obtained once every seven days. Its hardness and sharpness were enough to slice the new metal body of the universe emperor Frieza cleanly in two. In the world of Hunter x Hunter, it was a peerless treasure.

The people on the ship naturally would not sit still, but unfortunately, the difference in strength was enormous.

In the end, not a single person—aside from Eighteenth, Roy, the sailors, and the staff—remained conscious. Roy knocked them all down and left them lying on the deck.

"At this moment, the world is quiet."
