When the announcement echoed across the Source of Expansion, the reaction from the Reader's Faction was predictably grim.
Confusion spread quickly as they tried to grasp how the festival could possibly be moved up in time.
By the time of the Source, the Festival was still an entire cycle away.
But was Ash really willing to wait a trillion years to fulfill the final goal he had set for himself so long ago?
Admittedly, he had looked forward to exploring the Source of Expansion, both for the thrill of discovery and to give his clan ample time to enjoy themselves.
Yet, after spending only a short while here, he found himself growing restless, eager to finally reach the end of his journey.
It wasn't that there was any real urgency, but with the goal of making Pantheos the one true existence in all of the Novel now so close, it was impossible not to feel a spark of excitement.
