Lately, I have been so busy. I never knew that being a noble was this hard. If I had known, then I would have not aspired to become one and just decided to become a merchant instead...haaa
Ever since I became a Baron, I was assigned to many lessons. From nobility etiquette, Empire History, Ballroom dancing lessons, fiefdom management and other shit ton of stuff. My parents were also taught how to be a noble too, and seeing their delighted expressions, I guess I was also delighted.
"Greetings, Baron Garvel."
As I passed through the empty corridor of the Raven Building of The Academy, I was greeted by a shoulder length haired man with glasses, as he smiled at me.
Seeing that smile, I threw him another smile too as I spat out some words on him.
"Stop that dude, it's Cringy"
My face contorted in disgust as the guy infront of me, Viego Margrave. The 2nd son of Count Margrave was chuckling as he walked beside me.
Viego and me had been buddies even before I became a baron, probably because of our the same passion for swords and knights...We became buddies immediately and did not mind the status difference, And now that I earned a title that I am not used to, this fucker has been teasing me about it.
"Oh come on, it is cool HAHAHAHA"
"Cool my ass, I will shove up a sword in your throat if you don't stop that"
I joked with a smile as he rolled his eyes and headed inside the classroom with me.
Right now, we are finally going to have Magical Lessons. Since we finally had our blessings, we are finally able to attend magical classes unlike before.
Well, The Academy is actually just a normal Academy before. It didn't even have a name as it is the first Academy in this world. The Academy before we received our blessings was just like any other schools in Earth before.
They teach Math, History, Biology, Botany and yeah the language used here is Archanic. The only thing that makes The Academy had a fantasy feel before was The Combat Lessons...in which is like the Earth's Physical Education. Then there is also another two, it was called: [ Study of Monster Hierarchies ] and [ Study about Demons, The Creatures of Darkness ].
The first one was about the level of monsters, apparently they rank monsters based on the color of the rainbow and the lower the color was, the stronger they are. Ah yeah right, the current strongest student in this school which was Yuri Arghain, the Council President was ranked Pristine Red. It was the lowest of the hierarchy but the highest of the lowest but we are more inferior than her so we are also low. We are just students after all, ah for context...I am ranked 2nd here. I would have been ranked 3rd if 'That guy' was still around...it has been a few weeks ever since he disappeared, some have started to forget what he looked like as no sketch was enough to make up for his appearance, if there was a camera here just like the ones on the Earth, I bet no one will ever forget what he looked like. I wonder how he was doing...Hopefully, he was still alive.
Anyways, for the second subject, it was about the study of Demons. Apparently, the Demons in this world are classified based on a nobility title, they are just the same as The Rainbow classification with Baron as the lowest and Duke as the highest. So far, there are still no sightings if there is a King of the demons.
"To start the class, can anybody here give me a recap on how can the Mortal Body wield magics and where they store it?"
As the class discussion had started, me and Viego took a seat close to each other and listened in to our Instructor, Miss Merkeith.
As Miss Merkeith's question rang unto the heads of the students in the classroom, a student with a fiery orange hair passionately raised her hand to answer and Miss Merkeith had her answer the question.
"Serena"
Miss Merkeith called out the student's name as the student stood up with a smile.
"The Mortal body can wield magic because of the blessing that the divine had given to them, and the moment they receive the blessing, the mortal body will soon then awaken their capability to wield mana...and the mana will be stored inside the blessed's mana core which was located in the solar plexus."
Serena passionately answered with a smile as Miss Merkeith also had a loving gaze on Serena.
"And? Anything to add up about the Mana Core?"
Miss Merkeith asked Serena as the younger girl eagerly added.
"The Mana Core has three stages, the Initiation Stage, the Elite Stage and the Pristine Stage. The Initiation Stage is the lowest of the lowest stage, it is the first stage and the color of your mana core will be darker. Then the Elite Stage is the second stage, the color of your mana core will be neutral and then the pristine stage which is the final stage, the color of your mana core will be light now and the impurities are purified, hence it was called Pristine Stage. It means that you are ready to ascend to the next level."
Serena finally concluded her answer and let out a satisfied huff while staring at Miss Merkeith with embers blazing in her eyes, she looked like she wants to be praised. Seeing that though, Miss Merkeith just chuckled and praised her.
"Very well, you did good. Serena. You may take a seat"
Serena smiled with glee as she looked at my direction and....scoffed with a mocking smile. Did this girl just scoffed me? What the fuck?
Anyways, she sat down as Miss Merkeith started the discussion.
"What Miss Serena just said earlier were all correct, there are three stages of the Mana Core, and the lighter the color of your mana core is, the higher your stage has become. So for you to break through another stage, you must purify the color of your Core..."
Miss Merkeith walked around the classroom to discuss about the mana core as I went deeper into my thoughts. For reference by the way, I am on the Elite Stage, my core is pure red but I am currently trying to purify it, I am on the peak of breaking through the Pristine Stage with just a little purification.
And so...while Miss Merkeith was discussing, I closed my eyes and tried to purify my core.
I will break through Pristine Stage right now...

In a small pond of the bamboo forest, a hand emerged out underwater as a man with golden hair came up to the surface and crawled out of the water, back to the land.
"Haaa...haaa...Master. Why am I doing this?"
Roanoke, the golden haired lad combed his wet hair back to remove the bangs covering his eyes and then glanced at his master who is currently lying down on a wooden bed, facing the sun...the sun was covered by the large trees though. He also had a fricking sunglasses on while also humming.
"Oh? You are done?"
"Yeah, why am I doing this? It has been a few days since you told me to do this shit and I still don't see the point"
Roanoke asked his master who is currently lazing around, whereas for Li Sheng...he just chuckled quite heartily at Roanoke's innocent question and then got up from the wooden bed.
"Tsktsktsk, Raukie Raukie Raukie...."
"Roanoke, master. I discarded that name, you said so"
Roanoke shot his Master a glaring look as he was wiping his wet face with a dry towel.
"Right, Roan...Roan...Roan. You seriously doubt this master of yours? Tsktsktsktsk. Have you not noticed anything in there?"
Roanoke shot his master a confused glance and then rolled his eyes. He finally finished drying himself and so he started stretching his tensed muscles.
"Noticed? I mean, aside from it being ridiculously deep despite it being a pond, I never noticed any—"
Then it hit him, He realized something. The Golden haired lad realized something on his words, as he stopped stretching and then suddenly went back to dive into the pond, shirtless.
Seeing that his foolish disciple finally had an idea on what he was doing, Li Sheng just smiled and went back to lazing around.
"Hahaha, seems like my Foolish Disciple was really a genius."
Li Sheng shot a glance at the pond where his disciple just dove off and then chuckled and hummed an upbeat tune.
'Right, the reason why that pond was deep, was because it is a monster dungeon.'
Deep in the pond, Roanoke swam deeper and deeper until he reached the dark floor of what felt like the sea. He had been diving in this pond for a few days now, he thought that this place was just ridiculously deep and his master was training him how to swim for mobility.....but only now, then did he realize that this place might be a dungeon. So he decided to get into the bottom of this and check out the cave that he had seen multiple times when he was diving.
After swimming deeper and deeper, he finally arrived at the entrance of the cave. He did not go near this cave before because of the foreboding feeling that he kept having everytime he comes near. But now, he is already facing it and prepared for what was coming.
'Now....show me, my foolish disciple, how a Mortal should surpass their limits'
In the cave where Roanoke was currently facing, he saw a dark red hue glow deep in there as a large Crab at the size of his family carriage emerged out of the cave.
