Outside Henry Clark's home at Northern end, Luna stood at the doorway, her long hair tied with a simple ribbon, wearing a clean dress she had carefully re-sewn the night before. She clutched the single spirit stone Henry had given her as if it were the most precious treasure in the world.
"Husband, are you ready?" she asked softly.
Henry stepped out with the broken sword behind his back. Clean and soft face, lower slight red lip and with a soft smile, he appeared like a scholar.
"Let's go…" Henry said while holding her hand.
Luna smiled brightly as her eyes sparkled with excitement. This was the first time since their marriage, she could walk the market proudly beside her husband.
As they walked like an intimate birds, all the Clark family elders watched with stunned faces.
Together, they stepped out of the Clark estate.
Along the street, many opened their mouths wide in shock, as they saw a pair of stunningly beautiful young couple walking.
Henry completely ignored them. On the other hand, Luna felt a little shy… but inside, her heart is filled with excitement and pride.
Soon, they reached the market street. Before entering inside, Luna pulled him to an exchange store.
The fat shop owner's eyes lit up as he saw the spirit stone on the table. Without any delay, he placed a pouch containing 1000 gold coins in Luna's hand.
Even though the thousand gold coins were equal to the market, value of one spirit stone, no one would be ready to exchange them as the spirit stone is far more valuable. That's why the shopkeeper was very much happy to do the exchange.
With a slight disappointment Luna walked outside as Henry carried the heavy pouch of thousand gold coins.
Inside the market…
The streets were bustling.
Stalls of herbs, fruits, potions, scrolls, and magical trinkets filled the lane. The silver-leaf trees that gave the town its name glittered in the morning light, shedding faint silver dust with each breeze.
"Welcome! Fresh spiritual mushrooms!"
"Aura-infused bread… only two copper coins!"
"Get these mountain chicken! Good for your health…!!"
Luna dragged Henry from stall to stall, giggling like a child. For the first time in a long time… she was happy.
Even though she has thousand gold coins, she was spending very cautiously. Henry was surprised to see that all the daily necessities and food was so cheap in this world. But what he don't know is… there are many people who are still struggling to in a single gold coin. Even in this wizard world… there are large number of mortels who were unable to learn the magic. Even Luna comes under this category of people.
Henry also couldn't accept the fact that Luna was unable to practice the magic. Inside his mind, he always had a thought of finding alternatives to make Luna practice the magical spells.
At a herb stall, Luna gently held a packet of dried spirit leaves.
"Husband… look! These are good for recovering physical strength. Should we buy some?"
"Whatever you like… don't worry about that gold coins. Spend them as many as you want."
Luna practically glowed as she placed the herbs into her basket.
Next, she paused by a clothing stall. She hesitated… then touched a simple but elegant blue hairpin.
"It's beautiful…" she whispered.
"Then take it… Also buy at least 10 sets of cloths." Henry said.
Luna quickly withdrew her hand. "N-No! They are expensive… I can't waste money."
Henry shook his head and picked up the hairpin and dragged her to clothes line.
"It's not a waste."
He slid the hairpin into her hair. Luna froze, cheeks turning rosy.
"H-Husband…"
"You look perfect…" Henry said calmly.
Several women passing by whispered.
"They're such a lovely pair..."
"He's so gentle…"
"That girl is lucky."
Luna lowered her head shyly.
As the time pass, they spend more than hundred gold coins to buy all the things needed for their home.
As the things grow in their hands, Henry spent more than 300 gold coins to purchase a used bamboo bag, which is a basic space saving magical treasure. That small bag contains 10 meters of space inside it.
Before going to home, they ate stomach full of food and took the horse ride.
Many times, Luna try to stop Henry from spending the gold coins for all the lavish things and journey… but Henry convinced her with a smile.
Even though Henry forced her to buy the expensive silk princess Clothes, she only bought the cloth material to make her own dress.
Many people of the clark family watched with envy as the two got down from the horse carriage.
Even Philip's eyes went wide, who happened to be standing outside.
"Where did this cripple got all these wealth?!" Philip muttered in shock.
"What… young master, you don't know?" The servant asked curiously.
"What?!" Phillip snapped with an annoyed look.
"Young Master… Henry defeated Lee Dong in a duel at the Silver Pond and got 3 spirit stones through betting." The servant whispered in secret.
"…What?" Phillip's mouth went wide in shock.
"Yes, Young Master. Henry easily blocked Lee Dong's spells and defeated him… humiliating him in front of everyone."
For a moment, Phillip's face darkened with hatred.
But then… He suddenly burst into wild laughter.
"Hahahahaha!!! That fool Henry!!!"
The servants stared nervously as Phillip slapped his knee.
"Till now, I wondered how to deal with this cripple brother… Hahaha… Now, there is no need. Let the Lee family handle him! I don't even need to dirty my hands!" Phillip smirked in joy.
"If Henry thinks defeating a weakling like Lee Dong means anything… he's mistaken. The Lee family patriarch will not let this go." He leaned back comfortably, eyes filled with malice as he watched the distant back of Henry and Luna.
"Hehehe… good. Let the Lee family crush him. And when he's crawling in the dirt… I'll step on his head myself."
Phillip stared at the sky with a sly smile. "Dear fate! Do the work for me!"
He closed his eyes, imagining Henry's defeat with wicked pleasure.
