This is an information chapter about his Heavenly Restrictions.
Rein (Main Male Lead) was born with four different Heavenly Restrictions. Normally, such a thing should be impossible, but fate works in mysterious ways, granting him four distinct abilities, each paired with its own unique tradeoff.
For context, he is a half devil.
1. Enhanced Physiology
Rein has a superhumanly gifted body, making him MUCH stronger than a standard supernatural being physically. One thing to calrify is that his natural strength as a half-devil forms the base, while this Heavenly Restriction amplifies that foundation even further.
Tradeoff:
As a half-devil, Rein was born with zero demonic energy.
2. Temple of Time
His right eye has the power to see two hours into the future. The future he sees is near perfect, but not set in stone — any major changes in the present can alter it. He is given three slots per day: he can use each slot (without repetition) individually to see someone else's future, or expend all three at once to see his own.
Tradeoff:
His right eye is blind, and this blindness is permanent, incapable of being cured by any means.
Appearance:
Due to the unique nature of this Heavenly Restriction, his right iris appears exotic, featuring a clock-themed pupil.
3. Erasure
It grants Rein the ability to erase a target from existence by eating their heart (or an equivalent core organ if the target has no heart). Once he consumes it, the target is erased completely. All memories, records, and traces of the target's life vanish or rewrite themselves to maintain a consistent reality. Photos change, documents become blank, and history corrects itself, making it so that the person never existed. Only Rein (or with whom he shares his memories) remembers them.
Tradeoff:
Every time he erases someone from existence, he permanently loses five years of his lifespan. Furthermore, he can no longer increase his lifespan by any means other than transcendence. These lost years cannot be restored or replenished through senjutsu, magic, or any supernatural life-extending method.
4. Essence Protection
Provides existential protection by making his soul and mind extremely resilient. It grants near absolute immunity to all soul- and mind-based attacks.
Tradeoff:
Any form of supernatural healing methods (except Senjutsu done by himself and his natural healing factor) will cease functioning on him.
