The early morning shined upon the team, Luna's long hair blowing in the wind slowly. All their faces determined and looking forward into the future. Almost deep In thought as they step ahead, no unnecessary conversations. Just a powerful silence filling the air and creating a harshly demanding, and nervous atmosphere that makes the journey ahead a difficult one to anticipate. Albion stops and takes a look back his eyes sparkle in the light of the sun which is still rising. He turns back around to look east which Noctyrium exists. The group heads forward now with no Intention of stopping. On their short journey the birds chirp, and leaves fall, carried by the soft wind. Eventually, their destination is reached and they stand facing each other. Albion speaks with an obvious nervousness, "Together, we shall rid the world of evil, which is Maliketh and the other corrupt dark elves that stand with him."
The others look back at him nodding with faces of determination. Proud of their cause. Now, everyone stands and slowly they begin walking towards the gates of Noctyrium ready to face the foes they have been waiting to face for a long time. They are met by Noctyrium's royal guard who questions them, "You all are very suspicious, tell us why you are here."
Luna steps up boldly facing her slight degree of shyness, "Royal guard, stand down, I am Princess Luna Shadowheart you all must know already, I presume? So, you bunch should let us through if you know what's best for you."
The guards are petrified, ashamed of their ignorance as royal guards, "Lady Luna? We apologize, I am very, very sorry we did not recognize you, Lady Luna. You and your people shall pass, go on ahead. Again, I'm sorry for the inconvenience."
Luna acts cocky and arrogant, walking past them and only speaking without looking at them, "You boys better not make that mistake again or you shall be punished gravely."
They nod and the group walks in without any more problems. Luna now leading the group ahead.
Luna continues leading them, hopefully to an isolated area to discuss further plans with Luna leading because of her knowledge of the city. Finally after much brief and subtle examining of the city, they reach an isolated spot where nobody will see or heard them. Albion acts as the leader, "What's the plan? What can we all agree on?
Ciaran throws up an idea, "Let's be bold, we head through the front door of the castle with Luna and begin the true operation in there, we have Luna ask around for Maliketh and we face him."
The rest of them are skeptical especially Sylvan, "That idea isn't great in my opinion, it's too risky. My idea is too find an alternative entrance to the castle and make it through there."
Luna intervenes, "There are no alternative entrances, I think Ciaran's idea is right. We should be bold, it may be better In more ways than one, let's do it."
Velgrus, and Albion nod as well agreeing, Sylvan giving in, "Alright, let's do it, I trust you all let's just do our best. For the justice and prosperity of us all and our people."
They head towards the front door of the castle guards stationed there too, this time though they recognize Luna and only ask questions for a different reason, "Who are these people with you Lady Luna?"
Luna doesn't act this time, as she knows these guards very well, "They are just guests for tonight, could you let us in?"
The guards nod not thinking twice about it, "Alright, Lady Luna, have a good evening."
They open the door and they make it in. Luna leads them forward. As they walk ahead they pass many people but just out of the corner of his eye Albion see's someone who he thinks he may know, but he ignores it for now. Eventually they reach the throne room and they break in. Maliketh sitting there as if waiting for them. Finally, they meet and stand in the same room as Maliketh. Maliketh's deep and raspy voice now speaks with anger, "Filthy. Luna, you bring other races to my front door and even into my own throne room?"
Luna's breath quickens with nerves. Maliketh speaks again, "Don't forget our plan Luna."
Albion looks at her quickly, "Luna... What is he talking about?"
Maliketh speaks, "good job daughter, you didn't make it obvious did you?"
Luna starts to cry slightly knowing what she did, ashamed of it. Sylvan confused now, "Luna? Don't tell me..."
Maliketh smiles, "Do I need to spell it out for you all? I used her to lure you all in blindly this whole time, we made it clear that someone was captured for you to save her and then we got her to join your group and lead you here without much preparation."
Luna is crying knowing what she did but truly, she is still defiant towards her father not wanting to accept what she truly did. She doesn't want to accept that she, betrayed them. The group just looks surprised and maybe even slightly angry and betrayed but Albion speaks up with a hint of motivation in his voice, "Luna, your crying, you did this, but do you still stand with us? You cry as if your ashamed of what you did. Do you still wish to aid us?"
Luna wipes her tears and smiles, "Y-Yes, yes I do."
Albion smiles back, "Great, then come on-"
As his hand reached out to her, a sword impales her from behind. A man with a familiar face, someone that Albion recognizes. Albion catches her as she falls forward into his arms. The rest of the group in shock. Luna, bleeds in his arms with no words being spoken. Albion tears up, "Luna... You. You can't be dying now. You can't! Just as you accepted yourself, just as you were about to be free from this world of suffering!"
Luna painfully smiles, "It's ok Albion, before I go, I'm sorry that we couldn't spend time together much but just with the time we did I can genuinely say, I love you."
The tears fall from his face unto hers. Silence fills the room. Albion responds back just before her final breath, "I love you too..."
Now silence truly settles as he holds her close, the tears still falling and her final breath is heard.
Though, time doesn't wait, even for those mourning. Albion holds her close not looking at anything or anyone else, but the man speaks, "Oh... Albion, long time no see, eh?"
Albion looks up with total hatred that quickly turns into surprise and shock, "No... You we're dead he, he killed you? Lucius?"
Lucius doesn't even smile, "Albion. You set down the wrong path, boy."
Albion looks at him with hatred, "I can say the exact same to you! You damn BASTARD!"
Lucius looks at him almost in disgust, "I didn't choose to go down this path boy, this is the path I was chosen to be on."
Albion looks at him with confusion, "Chosen? You were chosen to be a murderer of innocent people? To be an accomplice of a corrupt ruler?"
Lucius slightly laughs, "Maybe your right, I wasn't really choses, as I was always this way. There wasn't a time where I wasn't the way I am today so I wasn't exactly chosen to some."
Albion's thoughts provoke his mind and his thinking, "Was it you!? Was it you damn it, TELL ME!?"
Lucius smirks at him, "No. I wasn't the one who killed your father I'm not sure exactly who it was but he did kill me that day, but simply killing me isn't enough. You see, I'm not an ordinary human. I am what's known as an immortal. I cannot die by regular means."
Sylvan is shocked, "An immortal? Like the one's from legend?"
Lucius nods at his recognition of the legends, "Yes, I am one of legend."
Velgrus has his eyes set on Maliketh still since this whole time, lost in thought. Velgrus finally finds what he was thinking for, "Maliketh, you're Vorn, aren't you. You were a member of our party."
Maliketh smiles widely at his recognition, "Vorn, what a beautiful fake name, I remember that time. So you finally noticed, huh, Velgrus?"
Velgrus looks at him firmly, "Why the hell did you fake your identity. What did you gain?"
Maliketh laughs, "Nothing of course, just a little fun. I killed the others after, Vaelion was such a worthless little elf."
Velgrus looks disgusted but he lets Sylvan speaks, catching notice of their conversation, "Bastard! You killed my father for fun!"
He shoots and arrow at Maliketh almost hitting him. Maliketh laughs, "Puny little elf, your aim is as terrible as ever."
Just after he say this the other arrow from above connects hitting his left eye. Causing Maliketh to scream in pain, "How dare you, HOW DARE YOU PIERCE MY EYE, I MALIKETH WILL PERSONALLY KILL YOU!"
Albion now stands face to face with Lucien wiping tears off his face, "It's me and you Lucien, nobody else. Ciaran, you stay back this doesn't exactly concern you."
Lucien looks with a bit of confusion, "Ciaran is it? You look familiar. No matter, Albion. I accept the challenge. Let us fight, in other words, let's finish the execution that was promised to you."
Velgrus and Maliketh charge towards each other, Sylvan lining up his next shot. As well as Lucian and Albion beginning to draw their swords, a fierce battle on an already bloodstained battlefield is about to begin.
