We separated at the street
I didn't tell Miyuko anything about the bank vision
My head was too crowded to explain it, and I needed time…
time to understand what I had seen
I reached home late
My steps were heavy, my breathing uneven.
Everything inside me was still stuck between fear and the vision
I opened the door quietly
My mother was standing in the middle of the living room, her face pale with worry
"Ginsei… where have you been all this time?"
I couldn't look her in the eyes
"I was late… I'm sorry," I said in a low voice
She came closer, looking at my face for a long moment,
as if she could see the exhaustion leaking from my skin
"Go rest, Ginsei
You don't look okay"
I nodded and went up to my room
I closed the door and sat on the bed, my heart beating hard—
the only sound in the whole room
The bank vision…
The scream…
The smoke…
The alarm…
I took out my phone, opened the search engine,
and typed: famous banks in Tokyo
A long list appeared
Many names
But something inside me said:
If this is something big… something dangerous…
it must be an important place
The biggest bank in Japan
I typed: Bank of Japan
I opened the page
A large image of the building appeared
My heart pounded again
The same gate
The same front
The same shape I saw in the vision
Exactly the same
I lay down on the bed, my head spinning
My eyes closed, and finally, sleep pulled me in…
A deep sleep...
the first real sleep in two days
In the morning, I was sitting at the table eating breakfast
My mother was talking about something,
but her voice felt far away
as if there was a glass wall between me and the world
My mind was stuck on one thing:
I can't face this alone
Riko was gone
No one knew anything
No one could help
Except Miyuko
Even though I didn't trust her fully,
I had no other choice
I took my phone and called her
After two rings, she answered:
"Ginsei…?"
"Miyuko, we need to meet Now"
She stayed silent for a moment
Then said, "Where?"
We met in a small café
We sat in a corner, away from everyone
I stared at the table for a moment,
then told her everything
The vision
The bank
The time
The smoke
The alarm
And how the building in the vision looked exactly like the Bank of Japan
Miyuko listened without interrupting
Then finally said:
"This is a possibility
It might be real…
or it might not be.
But one thing is certain...
we can't tell the police
or the bank"
I stared at her in shock
"Why not?!"
Her voice was calm and firm:
"Because if you're wrong, even a little,
they'll accuse you of spreading panic
and interfering with a government bank
You might even get arrested
The law doesn't joke about these things"
I bit my lip without realizing
"Then what do we do?"
"We handle it ourselves," she said
"No one else"
She was quiet for a moment, then asked:
"Ginsei… do you remember where the smoke came from in your vision?"
I closed my eyes and tried to recall it
A narrow hallway…
metal stairs…
a heavy door…
smoke rising from below…
"I think… from the basement"
Miyuko nodded
"The employees' floor
That means the problem started there"
We both stood up
"Miyuko… do you think this will really happen?"
She looked at me for a long second
Just once
Then said:
"I don't know
But if there's even a small chance,
we need to move before it becomes real"
Half an hour later,
we were standing in front of the Bank of Japan
People walked in and out normally,
as if nothing was wrong..
as if life was completely ordinary
But for me,
the whole world had stopped
I stared at the huge building
Every part of my heart whispered:
Here
Something will happen here
Miyuko stood beside me and whispered:
"Ginsei…
from this moment on…
there's no turning back"
