"Sorry, my former teammates were all equipped with magical items. Also, the Invisibility Spell lasts for one minute per level, and you only have five minutes." Kevin Goldsmith covered his face.
The robe seemed to hesitate in mid-air for a moment before scattering to the ground, followed by other clothes.
Hannah quickly pulled her clothes away to avoid being seen by others, but fortunately, everyone in the stands was focused on Harry doing the splits in mid-air.
"You better remember this. I will definitely repay this 'favour'." Hermione's voice faded into the distance.
Hermione tiptoed off her seat, her arms tightly wrapped around her chest. She stood in the stands, looking left and right, trying to find a path away from the crowds. But the stands surrounding the stadium were filled with people waving their hands.
Even though no one can see me, why do I still feel so ashamed and... excited? Hermione couldn't understand her feelings.
"Harry and the others came to save me, (though they didn't succeed) and I can save him too." Hermione encouraged herself, and she made a bold decision—to cross the field of the crowd.
Hermione stepped onto the arena, and just that alone made her sweat with nervousness.
"What if some Wizard can see through my invisibility? What will happen to me?" Hermione felt like she had broken all the school rules and was extremely nervous.
She was burning up all over and couldn't feel the November chill at all.
To calm herself down, Hermione started running, releasing her hands that she had been tightly clasped to her chest. Instead, she used them to cover her front and back.
As she ran, Hermione was hit by a cool breeze, as if several invisible hands were gently caressing her body. Running in the cold air, Hermione's heart was pounding so hard it felt like it was going to jump out of her throat.
"I wonder if Hermione has arrived yet?" Hannah asked. "Kevin, why are you hunched over like that? Are you uncomfortable?"
"I'm fine, it's just that the spell took a lot of energy out of me, and I can't straighten up for the time being."
Kevin Goldsmith decided not to let anyone know that the recipient of the Invisibility Spell would not be invisible to the caster, and he also cast Eagle Eye on himself.
"Hermione is so white, no, so amazing, acting decisively to save others. She radiates the glow of courage."
"I can do that too," Hannah said defiantly. "Of course, I don't mean taking off my clothes, but helping someone in trouble. Especially if you're in trouble."
Hermione felt that time was passing incredibly slowly. Finally, she ran to the Slytherin stands, enduring the gazes she had imagined. But she was so nervous and exhausted that she could only squat down and catch her breath.
Kevin said, "Hannah, I need to check on Harry. Give me the Omnioculars."
"Are you alright? Why don't you rest for a while?" Hannah advised.
"No, this is a critical moment. I can still hold on, we must care about our classmates," Kevin said righteously as he snatched the Omnioculars and began to observe eagerly.
Kevin Goldsmith pressed the panoramic telescope tightly against his eye socket, turned the slow-speed knob on the right side of the telescope, and then fiddled with the playback knob on the side of the telescope.
Hermione twisted her slender waist, trying to dodge the dancing Pansy, but was bumped into on the arm, her elbow sending Professor Quirrell tumbling headfirst into the front row seat. However, no one noticed Hermione's presence.
Pansy was certain a hand had touched her, but looking around, she saw only Malfoy cheering for Slytherin, so she said nothing.
The thought of her humiliating behaviour in public made Hermione mentally write down several marks for Kevin Goldsmith.
Hermione arrived at the stands where Snape was, straightened up, and ran quickly along the row of seats behind him.
Finally reaching Snape, Hermione crouched down, took her wand, and whispered a spell. A bright blue flame shot out from her wand and flew towards the hem of Snape's robes.
About thirty seconds later, Snape realised that he was on fire.
Hearing a scream, Hermione knew her job was done. She quickly extinguished the fire from him, put it into her wand, and hurried back down the row of seats, leaving only a few glistening drops of dew behind. Snape will never know what happened.
High in the air, Harry suddenly managed to climb back onto the broom handle. Harry swooped down towards the ground, and people saw him cover his mouth with his hand as if he were about to vomit. He landed on all fours, coughing—and something golden fell into his palm.
"I caught the Snitch!" he shouted, swinging the ball high over his head. The game ended in chaos.
Hermione felt her invisibility was about to wear off, and in order to avoid social death, she desperately ran back to the Gryffindor stands, where Hannah, who was keeping her clothes safe, was waiting for her.
"I'm back, quickly give me my clothes."
"What clothes? I think I'm under the spell of 'Forgetfulness'," Hannah said innocently, looking up at the sky and whistling, as if she had no idea what she was talking about.
Hermione felt like she was going crazy. What was worse was that her hands and feet were already starting to show, and soon people would definitely be able to surround her.
"Just kidding, come over here, the clothes are behind this pillar. I'll keep watch for you."
The Invisibility effect disappeared just as Hermione frantically put clothes on herself, but fortunately people's attention was drawn to Flint and Lee Jordan's argument.
"He didn't catch the Snitch; he almost swallowed it." Twenty minutes later, Flint was still grumbling indignantly, but to no avail—Harry hadn't broken any rules, and Lee Jordan was still joyfully shouting the result—Gryffindor won by 170 to 60.
Although she had saved Harry's life and Gryffindor had won, Hermione couldn't feel happy at all. She felt as if something had fallen from her heart that day, kept falling, and finally shattered.
