With a gentle gesture, he pricked his finger and let a single drop of his blood fall onto the plant. The plant instantly revived, its petals perking up enjoying his delicious blood.
As he began to extract the liquid spiritual essence he couldn't help but sigh to himself.
"Wish something interesting would happen once in a while," Asher murmured,
His gaze drifting off, his voice barely audible.
And at that moment, a maid appeared her outfit like all of the maids is a long blue cotton dress with white apron and modest sleeves.
"Young Master Asher, your presence is requested."
He can't believe he said the forbidden word.
Asher couldn't help but feel a sense of inevitability wash over him as he processed the maid's words.
He was being summoned and he didn't like the timing of it with his words, it felt to coincidental and staged to him.
Do with his mind racing, he tried to think of a way to get out of whatever meeting the maid had in mind.
And then picking the optimum route he asked.
"Can it be delayed, Am in the middle of a tutoring session right now with Sir Julius?" he asked
Hoping against hope that he could put off cause he did not feel like going.
But unfortunately it couldn't be that easy to run away from this.
The maid's expression remained courteous, but firm.
"I'm afraid it cannot be delayed, Young Master. It's the 3rd Elder who has declared it."
Asher arched an eyebrow, his curiosity piqued.
What could the 3rd Elder want with him?
As a member of the Blood Blossom clan, Asher was well aware of the strict hierarchy that governed their lives.
At the base of the hierarchy were the Lowest Servants, individuals who toiled in obscurity, performing menial tasks that kept the clan's estate running smoothly.
Above them were the Lower-Ranking Members, including servants and messengers, who carried out essential but less prestigious duties.
The Middle-Ranking Members formed the next tier, comprising administrators, warriors, and specialists who kept the clan functioning on a day-to-day basis.
These individuals were the backbone of the clan, ensuring that everything ran according to plan.
Above them were the High-Ranking Members, family leaders, skilled warriors, and strategists who shaped the clan's decisions and determined its course.
The Elders stood above even the High-Ranking Members, esteemed individuals who advised the highest authority on crucial matters.
The 1st Elder, 2nd Elder, and 3rd Elder each held significant sway within the clan, their wisdom and experience guiding the clan's leaders.
And at the pinnacle of the hierarchy stood the Matriarch, Cassandra Lu Way, the ultimate authority whose word was law within the clan.
Asher's place within this hierarchy was complicated.
As a young heir, he was entitled to a certain level of respect, but his 'lack of potential and talent'
Made left him feeling like an outsider.
Even the Lowest Servants sometimes seemed to pay him little mind, and Asher couldn't help but wonder if his rank was truly meaningful.
The 3rd Elder's role, Asher knew, was primarily concerned with internal affairs and discipline.
Given this, Asher couldn't help but wonder why he was being summoned.
He was certain it wasn't a matter of discipline, as he had always been careful to avoid any serious infractions.
As he pondered the reason for the summons, Asher couldn't help but think back to his earlier.
So the universe somehow decided to take him literally?
Or mabye it was that damn bitch?
He pushed the thought aside, focusing on the present.
"Is there any specific reason why I've been called?" he asked the maid
Wanting to satiate the curiosity that was getting the better of him.
The maid's response was straightforward.
"I do not know but I was told to collect you to go to the central pavilion where the rest of the heirs are who are under the age of 10 and below as instructed by my superior."
Asher's eyes widened slightly as he processed this information.
"You mean all the heirs including the vassal ones." he asked
She responded," Like I said, all of them."
"If you have any other questions they will be answered for you at the pavilion." she continued.
"As we are already quite late, so if you may please kindly follow me, I show you the way and we can start off, Young Master."
Asher sighed inwardly, feeling a sense of resignation wash over him.
"Fine," he said finally. "I'll go."
The maid nodded and turned to lead him to the meeting, her movements smooth and efficient.
As Asher followed his the maid from behind, he couldn't help but notice the surroundings.
They walked through the sprawling estate, passing by beautifully manicured gardens and intricately designed courtyards.
The air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers and the soft chirping of birds. As they walked, Asher caught glimpses of people going about their daily business.
Some were servants, hurrying to complete their tasks, while others were members of the clan, engaged in various activities.
As they passed by, some nodded or bowed in respect, while others barely acknowledged his presence.
Asher's mind wandered to the reason for the summons.
He wondered what the purpose of the meeting was and what would be discussed.
Even though he lead a life of mostly solitude.
He as a member of the Lu Way clan.
Was at least educated of the hierarchy and the various vassal families that made up the clan.
Apart from the the Lu Way there are 5 other vassal clans directly linked to the clan known as petals.
And aside from the 5 main branch clans, or alternatively known as "petals," there were also smaller branches that stemmed from them.
These smaller branches had their own surnames, but did he care to memorise them, he dared not.
As they approached the meeting room, Asher could hear the sound of voices.
He smiled to himself, intrigued by the prospect of meeting the other young heirs.
And before she pushed open the door.
The maid said.
"Young Master Asher, Am afraid this is as far as I can go with you and if you'd excuse me."
The maid pushed open the door and quickly left.
Without further ado Asher stepped forward, into the room.
All heads turned in his direction and their gaze focused on the newcomer who has just arrived
In that moment the room became silent that even a pin being dropped could be heard in the room as the eyes fell on him.
The room was filled with children, all around this body's age but they did not feel like your stand typical snotty brats these were trained to be elites.
And the all looked at him like some strange specimen which they couldn't help but want to dissect even the servants too.
There were about 30 of them in total, and 12 were either from the main branch or 5 petals while the rest were the vassals
All the main players had least had one individual behind them whom he'd assumed are their own personal servant standing discreetly behind them like some mannequins.
Asher's eyes took in the unfamiliar faces, and he just took them all in, assessing them.
"So these are my peers," he couldn't help but chuckle to himself.
Then out of the corner of his eye he noticed
Asher walked in and took a seat on one of the cushions, but unlike the others, he didn't have a personal servant standing behind him.
The children turned to look at him, their eyes curious and appraising.
The children were from various branches of the clan, including the main 5 petals: Feng, Mei, Song, Wu, and Zhen, as well as some of the smaller branches.
Asher calmly started practicing his breathing technique, his expression neutral.
Most of the children excluding a few individuals began to whisper to each other, their eyes darting between Asher and themselves.
"Look at his hair," one of them whispered. "Do you think his a Lu Way."
"Then how come I've never heard of him, and not to brag I have extensive research on them."
"Well then mabye it's not extensive enough."
"Maybe he's not important enough to the clan," another child suggested, their voice barely above a whisper.
