Chapter 356 - Aaron: I am Zeus?

Hippolyta told Antiope to keep an eye on Diana, then looked at Aaron, "Mr. Aaron, may I speak with you alone?"

Aaron nodded, vaguely guessing Hippolyta's purpose in his heart.

However, when the two arrived at the side hall, Hippolyta's first words stunned Aaron.

"Great Zeus, Diana is your child."

"Even if she isn't your biological daughter, your bloodline and divine power flow within her."

Aaron's lips twitched, "Hippolyta, you're mistaken. I am not Zeus."

"Do you think Zeus is as handsome as I am?"

"No, he's not." Hippolyta shook her head.

Although Zeus was also majestic, there was no doubt that Zeus wasn't fit to even carry Aaron's shoes. If the two stood together, an uninformed person would definitely think Zeus was a servant. Even the most handsome man would feel inferior in front of Aaron.

"But... you can clearly control the power of lightning, and what you said yesterday..." Hippolyta hesitated.

Besides the great Thunder God Zeus, who else could so easily control the power of lightning?

Moreover, Aaron seemed incredibly familiar with Themyscira, as if it were his own home.

If not Zeus, who could it be?

"I've said it before, I come from another universe, a world with a completely different history than yours."

"Don't confuse me with Zeus, he's not worthy."

Aaron finished speaking, ignoring Hippolyta's conflicted expression, and turned to leave.

Hippolyta watched Aaron depart with a complex gaze.

Aaron wasn't Zeus?

She was still somewhat doubtful.

Mainly because of Zeus... those who know, know.

You couldn't expect too much morality from him.

Moreover, Diana, in a sense, had no blood relation to him.

Hippolyta wanted to observe a bit longer and quickly walked out of the side hall.

She saw Diana happily holding Aaron's arm, her face full of joy.

"Mom, we have something to discuss with you."

Hippolyta forced down the strange emotions in her heart and asked, "What is it?"

"Aaron said he has already discovered the true source of the crisis in our world."

"The Amazons need to arm themselves and become stronger; a more terrifying threat awaits us."

"Didn't Ares already die? What other threat could there be?" Hippolyta frowned, a sense of unease in her heart.

Diana looked at Aaron, who nodded, so she continued, "Ares is merely one of countless darknesses. What we are about to face might be ten thousand times more terrifying than him."

"What?!"

Hearing this, Hippolyta and Antiope simultaneously looked at Aaron.

Ares was already terrifying enough, and now you're telling me he was just an elite monster?

Aaron said seriously, "If your senses are keen enough, then you will discover that the dark aura of this world is still incredibly active."

Seeing that they were still confused, Aaron paused, then made a grasping motion with his right hand, and a brilliant light flashed, transforming into a star map.

"If you still maintain communication with the outside world, then you should know a term: Entropy."

"Entropy?" Hippolyta murmured, repeating the word.

"Entropy is one of the parameters in thermodynamics that characterizes the state of matter. Its physical meaning is a measure of the disorder of a system."

"According to the second law of thermodynamics, in an isolated system where there is no energy exchange between the system and its environment, the system will always spontaneously move towards increasing disorder, causing the entropy of the entire system to increase."

"In other words, the disorder of this system will continue to increase until the Multiverse is destroyed."

Hippolyta and Antiope were still very confused. Although they had lived for thousands of years, if they were to be honest, they were even less knowledgeable than elementary school students. However, they understood the meaning of the Multiverse's destruction.

"So... does this have any connection to our world?" Hippolyta asked humbly.

Aaron gestured for them to look at the star map. "The red dots in the image I'm holding represent the Entropy in the Multiverse."

"Look, this is the change in Entropy of this Multiverse. The Entropy of this Multiverse is increasing exponentially."

The few of them looked at the same time and indeed saw the red dots in the image growing wildly. In just tens of seconds, it encompassed an entire galaxy.

Aaron continued, "The rate of Entropy increase in your Multiverse is extremely abnormal, accelerating by hundreds of trillions of times compared to a normal Multiverse."

"If it continues at this rate, this Multiverse will, within a thousand years, reach its physical demise, heat death."

"Of course, you don't need to worry too much."

Before Hippolyta and the others could breathe a sigh of relief, they heard Aaron continue.

"According to my estimation, your Multiverse will most likely have already been destroyed by other dark factors before it reaches heat death."

Ah? Wouldn't that mean dying even faster?

Looking at Aaron's serious expression, for a moment, Hippolyta and the others didn't know if this counted as comfort.

Antiope weighed her words, "So you mean, we don't need to worry about this so-called Entropy for now?"

"Exactly." Aaron nodded.

He lightly blew a breath, and the star map in his hand transformed into the shape of Earth.

"Now look here."

"The change in Entropy has also had some special effects on the current Earth."

"You don't need to understand what Entropy is, but you need to know that an increase in Entropy can transform into another, more direct manifestation."

"For example, dark energy."

"An increase in Entropy also means an increase in dark energy."

"As Entropy continuously increases, the dark forces on Earth will also rapidly grow stronger."

"Just like Ares, the strength of Ares in this Multiverse is at least ten times stronger than that of Ares in a normal Multiverse."

"Aside from him creating a helmet that can amplify divine power a hundredfold, the more crucial direct reason is the rampant increase in Entropy."

"As the God of War, the more chaotic the world, the more frequent the wars, the stronger his power becomes. Have you thought of anything?"

Diana's expression tightened. "An increase in Entropy means more chaos, so Ares's power will continue to grow."

Aaron praised, "Smart."

"But Ares is dead now, so there's no need to worry about his power skyrocketing again in a few decades."

"The problem now is that he was just one of the darknesses. As Entropy increases and dark energy grows stronger, there will come a day when darkness will overwhelm light, and evil will triumph over justice."

Hippolyta finally understood this sentence. Her face changed drastically as she said, "According to you, the Entropy in our Multiverse is increasing extremely fast, so our Multiverse is destined for evil to overcome good?"

Aaron snapped his fingers. "Good."

"This is the most important point about this Multiverse. According to my preliminary estimate, dark forces will completely overwhelm forces of justice within a hundred years."

"If you don't prepare and continuously get stronger, then one day, you will face terrifying enemies a hundred or a thousand times stronger than Ares."

"And this enemy might not be a famous villain. It could be a god you once worshipped, or a Superhero who was once righteous."

Aaron remembered that in a similar Dark Multiverse, when Batman and Diana were fighting Ares, Batman put on the War God's helmet and turned dark.

He not only killed Ares but also killed all Superheroes and gods, including Diana.

And this dark Batman had another name—The Merciless!

Diana's face was filled with worry.

Hippolyta's expression changed again and again, "Perhaps we should contact the Olympian Gods, they might have a solution?"

She said this while observing Aaron's expression.

However, Aaron just scoffed dismissively.

Hippolyta's heart sank.

"Would those arrogant gods truly believe your illogical and absurd ignorant claims?"

"Are you questioning the power of the great gods?"

Aaron ruthlessly rejected her idea.

"For the gods to believe this claim, there's only one possibility."

"What possibility?" Hippolyta pressed.

"They will die the next second."

"..."

Well, you make a good point.

Diana said worriedly, "Then we have no other way?"

"Even you don't have a better solution?"

Aaron raised an eyebrow. "That's not it."

"In fact, I control Entropy and Negative Entropy, which can accelerate or alleviate this process."

"But this is only a temporary solution, not a fundamental cure."

"While an increase in Entropy represents an increase in dark power, it doesn't mean that a decrease in Entropy will prevent dark power from increasing."

"I can slow down this process to some extent, but you still need to work hard and strengthen your own power."

Aaron was already certain that this world was one of the infinite Dark Multiverses. This was a failed world, a dark world destined for destruction.

The underlying logic of this Multiverse was that good could not overcome evil.

"I can reverse it for a time, but not forever. Unless I stay in this world forever." Aaron said.

Hearing this, Antiope's heart stirred, and she looked at Diana with a strange gaze.

Diana pulled Aaron's arm. "Then can you stay for me?"

Aaron shook his head. "I'm sorry, I have a home in another Multiverse, and there are people waiting for me there too."

Diana bit her lip, her eyes dimming.

Yes, Aaron was so excellent and powerful. She was merely a newcomer, what right did she have to ask him to stay forever?

That would be too selfish.

Diana really wanted to say that they could make Amazon a bigger home and bring the people from his other home here.

But considering how dangerous their Multiverse was, how could she, out of her own selfishness, bring innocent people who could enjoy light into this chaotic and constantly threatened world?

Aaron patted Diana's shoulder. "Don't worry, I will come to this world periodically to help you reduce some Entropy, but during this process, you must get stronger as much as possible. Only then can you resist the stronger dark forces."

"Or, you can all move to my world. At least I can guarantee that as long as I am there, you can live in peace forever."

"Think about it carefully."

Aaron saw that they were unsettled, so he deliberately gave them space to discuss and turned to leave.

Just as Diana and Hippolyta were pondering, Antiope called over a beautiful Amazon Warrior with long golden hair.

She was Artemis, the Amazon Warrior second only to Diana on Themyscira. She was also Antiope's most capable and trusted subordinate.

"Artemis, we have some important matters to discuss, so from now on, you will lead Mr. Aaron on a tour of Themyscira."

"If he has any requests, you must fulfill them, understand?"

"Yes, General."

Artemis could not hide the smile at the corner of her lips, accepted the order, and withdrew.

When Antiope turned back, she was met with Diana's incredulous gaze and Hippolyta's look of surprise and uncertainty.

"Please forgive me. Everything I do is for Themyscira, for this world."

Antiope showed no sign of guilt, looking at her favorite niece with sincere earnestness.

"Antiope, you..."

"Aaron will not abandon a forest for one tree, but what if we give him a bigger forest?" Antiope's expression was serious, her tone resolute and sincere.

"Even if we can't make him stay forever, at least it can make him remember that there is another home in this world."

"Sorry, Diana, as a general, I must do this."

Diana opened her mouth. She felt that her most respected aunt was so unfamiliar. She actually called another woman to take care of Aaron right in front of her.

Diana looked at her mother, Hippolyta, hoping she would say something.

However, Hippolyta, facing her gaze, looked away and said nothing.

Everything was understood without words.

"Diana, perhaps... this is a necessary sacrifice."
