Chapter 360 - Such a Weak Will

[Ruler's Voice: Similar abilities detected and merged. Your words are holy words, capable of commanding matter and energy, altering the rules of the universe, and controlling all beings. The effect depends on the target's status and strength.]

'So, it merged with the side-ability of Chaos Magic and Phoenix Force, huh? Maybe I can even impersonate God for a bit?'

Aaron mused to himself, while Eris and her two brothers, not far in front of him, froze in place, not daring to move.

Great Ares, my father.

Although I very much want to avenge you, the enemy you provoked is simply too powerful, so powerful that even our combined efforts cannot shake him in the slightest. Therefore, I have made a decision that goes against our ancestor.

From today on, I sever my father-daughter/father-son relationship with you. I am no longer a daughter/son of Ares.

Without the slightest hesitation, Eris and her two brothers, without any communication, simultaneously fled in three different directions.

The First Born, who was desperately resisting the combined efforts of Diana and Donna, was momentarily distracted, whereupon Diana seized the opportunity and severed his arm with a sword. He was then kicked away by Donna.

The First Born gnashed his teeth, looking at the retreating figures of the three. "They're truly beasts."

With Eris and her two brothers fleeing, The First Born, even if he boasted of his great strength, did not have the ability to simultaneously deal with the empowered Wonder Woman and Wonder Girl.

Coupled with Aaron, this mysterious and unfathomable unknown god, th First Born couldn't help but feel the urge to retreat.

Ignoring his severed arm, the First Born used his blood manipulation ability to stop the bleeding, then turned and stomped his foot. The island trembled, and he shot up into the sky like a rocket.

Seeing this, Diana and Donna nodded to each other, then summoned the Lasso of Truth and the Lasso of Persuasion, extending them for hundreds of miles, attempting to keep the First Born.

However, Aaron raised his hand to stop their actions. "No need, they won't escape."

As he spoke, before Diana and the others could ask, the previously clear sky instantly darkened. The blazing sun was suddenly swallowed by darkness, the entire Earth seemed to be consumed by an endless abyss, and shadow became the sole ruler of the world.

Even the bustling cities, or countries already in night, fell into profound darkness at this moment. And the light and heat emitted by lamps, candles, and fireflies were devoured and chewed by the darkness in the first instant.

This was the Dark Power Aaron acquired after devouring Knull and combining it with other similar abilities.

The entire Earth was swallowed by the Dark Abyss and within that endless darkness, there were many formless, insubstantial dark beings whispering and writhing.

Everyone's five senses were swallowed yet their other senses were amplified a thousand, ten thousand times.

This was especially intense for Eris, The First Born, Deimos, and Phobos.

They had originally escaped Themyscira, soaring through the sky, with the boundless firmament above them and the endless sea below.

Before they could rejoice, they plunged headfirst into the Dark Abyss. Beneath their feet, there seemed to be land, yet flying in the sky, they could move as if on solid ground on the "dark earth."

Although their five senses were stripped away, they could clearly sense unknown creatures crowding around them. These were either countless tentacles like agile snakes, or slender, thin shadows, or bloated, grotesque, eye-covered terrifying beings.

Even The First Born, who had been cast into the Earth's core, accompanied by Titans, enduring the whispers of Old gods, couldn't help but feel his scalp tingle and fear surge through his entire body.

He couldn't understand why, despite being betrayed by Zeus and experiencing the darkest moments in the world, he still felt dread towards the darkness at this moment?

"Who is it? Who are you? How dare you attack the great First Born!"

The First Born forcibly broke free from the dark presences around him. He roared and shouted, condensing all his divine power, wantonly unleashing a torrent of divine power into the darkness.

This was a great power capable of shattering mountains and shaking Mount Olympus, yet at this moment, it was like a drop of water entering the sea, gone without a trace.

Darkness embraces everything, darkness devours everything.

The First Born seemed to "hear" the playful sounds of many beings. They were mocking, they were sneering, they were playing.

His heart trembled and the power called fear shattered his most proud psychological defense.

Similarly, there was also Phobos. This terrifying deity who instilled fear in the world and was feared by all, was corroded by fear in his heart even before The First Born.

He who plays with fear shall ultimately be played by fear.

Phobos went mad.

He was so terrified by the great fear in the darkness that his divine soul disintegrated.

Deimos, likewise did not escape the dark terror. He was the first to be swallowed, fearing due to dread, due to the madness of the darkness.

As for Eris, God of Strife...

"Go mad! All of you, die!"

Eris's face was distorted, and she frantically wielded her authority of strife. She was like a madwoman, striking wildly in the darkness alone.

She laughed as she "killed" one dark creature after another.

In her eyes, she seemed to see endless creatures in the dark world. She thought she had killed the darkness, but in reality, she had long been defeated by the darkness.

Time seemed to have passed for a long while,

A year? Ten years? A hundred years?

However, in reality, for the people of Themyscira, only one minute had passed.

The world returned to daylight, and the sun reclaimed its authority.

Warm sunlight dispelled the cold night.

Seabirds soared, waves crashed, as if the darkness from before had never existed.

However, the women discovered that the children of Ares and The First Born, who should have escaped, had returned to the encirclement.

Deimos squatted on the ground with his hands covering his head, his eyes vacant and lifeless. Even with the arrival of light, they remained hollow.

Phobos also had "hollow" eyes, he had literally gouged out his own eyes.

Eris lay limply on the ground, a mad smile on her face.

The First Born had somehow reopened his stopped wound, and golden blood flowed thinly, seeming almost dry. His once robust body was now much thinner, like a skeleton.

No longer the arrogant and untamed figure he once was.

The four of them shared one common characteristic—they were all blind.

Their entire body had been assimilated by the darkness. Even with the sun's return, they could not revert to their former selves.

The others present exchanged glances, then all looked at Aaron in unison.

"Don't look at me, their willpower wasn't firm, they were scared to death." Aaron explained casually.

He had only used the most basic abilities of the Dark Abyss, plus a little bit of Fear Power. He hadn't expected these so-called children of Old Gods to be so fragile and weak.

He hadn't even had time to use the dark shadows to create an army of boundless dark monsters yet. Or to forcibly assimilate matter and energy, transforming them into another "Abyss Dimension."

He could only say that this group of second-generation gods were too "fragile."

Upon hearing this, the women were all speechless.

If someone said the God of Terror was scared to death, they would believe it.

But the God of Fear was scared to death? That's just too preposterous.

It's like the God of Thunder being struck dead by lightning or the God of the Sea drowning in the ocean, who would believe that?

Everyone thought the darkness Aaron had just cast over Earth was by no means mere fear.

Even the Goddess of Night might not be as powerful as Aaron.

Aaron knew others didn't believe him, but he was too lazy to explain.

He raised his hand, seized the chidlren of Ares and The First Born, and devoured them.

[Power of Fear: Detected similar ability, already merged. You have mastered the Power of Fear, allowing you to project the deepest fears in all beings' hearts, causing their minds and bodies to collapse.]

[Power of Terror: You have gained the power of terror. Any being in your presence, if their will judgment fails, will have their strength weakened by 30%.]

[Power of Strife: You have gained the authority of strife, able to easily incite the inner brutality of all beings, causing them to attack each other, leading to endless conflict.]

[Blood Absorption: Detected similar ability, already merged. You can control and absorb others' blood to enhance your physique.]

[Source of the Old Gods: You can absorb the divine power of DC Old Gods to strengthen yourself.]

"Oh, not bad." Aaron nodded in satisfaction.

He hadn't expected these few minor second-generation gods to bring him such pleasant surprises.

Although the Power of Terror didn't directly strengthen his own power, it weakened enemies, indirectly boosting his own strength by 30%. Of course, it first required a will judgment.

For conceptual-level beings, it would likely be difficult to take effect but it was still pretty good.

At this moment, Aaron looked at Circe, she was the only one of the invaders left to be refined.

Circe noticed Aaron's gaze, and her watery eyes rippled slightly.

Due to the backlash of her charm magic, she was now completely at Aaron's beck and call. Even if Aaron asked Circe to commit suicide, she would not hesitate for a second.

It was simply a perfect tool.

Coupled with her full and sensual body, Aaron believed she was definitely no less impressive than Mary Jane.

Aaron beckoned.

Circe trotted over, gazing up at him idiotily, with worship and awe.

Aaron stroked Circe's purple wavy long hair, like petting a cat and casually acquired her abilities.

[Power of Charm: Detected similar abilities, already merged (Voice of Charm, Kiss of Charm, Charm Magic...). You naturally exude the power of charm. Every gesture, every smile, every movement can charm all beings of the opposite sex, bringing innate goodwill.]

[Myriad Transformations: Detected similar ability, already merged. You can freely transform into any form or object, possessing many of the target's characteristics and abilities, and you can also transform others at will.]

[Resurrection Spell: Detected similar abilities, already merged (Necromancy...). You can summon souls from hell, bringing people back from the dead and restoring their previous forms.]

[Note: If the soul has dissipated or is imprisoned, resurrection is not possible.]

There were three abilities!

Aaron was a bit surprised. Although there wasn't much improvement, the biggest boost was in charm.

But it was still pretty good.

After all, Circe was originally just an ordinary human princess who gained some spellcasting abilities after receiving the blessing of the Goddess of Magic. She just went down the wrong path before.

Aaron, who liked to be a teacher, was ready to personally guide her onto the right path.

"Thank you, Mr. Aaron. If it weren't for your help, Themyscira would probably be in ruins today."

Hippolyta looked around with lingering fear at Themyscira, which was cracked due to The First Born's kick.

Led by The First Born, the second-generation gods, plus Circe as their pawn—if Aaron hadn't intervened, they would have been annihilated.

Perhaps even without The First Born's direct action, the ordinary Amazons would have slaughtered each other due to the Power of Strife.

Adding Ares, they now owed Aaron another favor.

Antiope stepped forward and said, "Donna, Diana, you two take Aaron to rest first. We'll handle the aftermath."

Antiope gave Hippolyta a meaningful look and though the latter was puzzled, she chimed in to agree.

Diana, hearing this, found it a little strange, but she obediently took Donna and invited Aaron to leave.

Aaron just wanted to get to know Donna better, so he took Circe and Gwenpool, and left with Diana and the others.

When Aaron was far away, Hippolyta was about to speak, but Antiope's expression was solemn as she said, "Sister, Themyscira cannot do without Aaron, just as fish cannot do without water, and humans cannot do without the sun."

"This is already the result of Aaron briefly curbing entropy. Otherwise, not just the First Born and a few others would have come today, but also the even more evil Titans."

Hippolyta pursed her lips. She naturally understood Antiope's meaning.

Aaron had made it very clear that without other forces intervening, their universe would inevitably perish. The underlying logic of the universe was that good could not triumph over evil.

With their strength, let alone saving the world, they couldn't even protect Themyscira.

If Aaron left, she couldn't imagine what fate awaited them.

Aaron leaves in the morning, Themyscira is gone by noon, and Earth is destroyed by afternoon.

When that darkness descends, no one knows how many hidden evil beings will feast on this universe, bringing the world to its end.
