"What do you take the Kazekage for?"
"What do you take Sunagakure for?"
"What do you take the Third Great Ninja War for?"
Rasa stared at Garp, who was sound asleep, utterly ignoring him and the several thousand Sand shinobi around them, until his face turned green with fury.
If this had been back when Garp first came down from the mountains, he would've laughed at the old Iron Fist, saying he'd gotten too old, too worn-out, that he could fall asleep even in a situation like this.
But after seeing what happened to Iwagakure and Kumogakure, he understood very clearly.
Garp was doing it on purpose. Or rather, he didn't care about him and didn't put Sunagakure in his eyes to begin with.
Only that could explain why he dared to sleep so brazenly on such a solemn, brutal battlefield.
"Kazekage-sama, calm yourself. Don't be fooled by Garp's sleeping posture."
Because of Rasa's exceptional performance earlier, Chiyo's attitude toward him had improved quite a bit.
At the very least, when she addressed him as Kazekage-sama now, it no longer sounded formulaic or casual, there was a hint of genuine respect.
"Garp falling asleep is actually a good thing. He's not pretending, he's really asleep. Unless he takes one or two solid hits, he won't wake up.
Since he looks down on our village so much, let's use this opportunity to teach him a lesson he'll never forget."
Ebizo's anger was also boiling over.
If it were any other enemy dozing off on the battlefield, he would be laughing. But when it happened to Garp, all he felt was endless humiliation.
"Magnet Release: Gold Dust."
Rasa didn't speak; instead, he swung his arms with a dark and heavy expression.
Boom!
With a sound like a flash flood bursting forth, waves of gold dust erupted from under the desert, surging upward in layers like a raging tide.
In an instant, the sleeping Garp was swallowed whole.
"He used it, Kazekage-sama's Magnet Release."
"That's the power that can suppress the rampaging One-Tails. Even a hero of the shinobi world would be injured by this."
"It's his own fault. Who told him to be so arrogant, daring to look down on our Kazekage."
In the distance, Yashamaru and the other Sand shinobi watched with shining eyes, their faces filled with excitement.
Rasa was able to defeat his opponents and become the Fourth Kazekage thanks in part to Chiyo and Ebizo's support, but strength was strength, and he had real ability.
As the Third Kazekage's disciple, he inherited Magnet Release in full.
And ever since the Third Kazekage's disappearance, whenever Shukaku went berserk, it had always been Rasa who used his overwhelming gold dust to suppress it.
The Sand shinobi who had witnessed Rasa's power had absolute faith in him.
"He really predicted it… uncle Garp was right. This generation of Kages are really braver than the last."
"Shikaku, the war has already started. Should we go and help?"
"Choza, are you planning to help by offering your head?"
"So, what, are we just going to stand here and watch?"
"Not exactly. After the battle ends, the Ino–Shika–Cho trio can go help Lord Garp clean the gold dust and sand off his suit, pants, and shoes."
"…"
While Tsunade and the Ino–Shika–Cho trio, hidden in the shadows, marveled at Rasa's courage and argued about whether they should intervene, Rasa's attacks only grew fiercer.
Waves of Magnet Release jutsu crashed down on Garp one after another.
"Magnet Release: Gold Dust Imperial Funeral."
Even after drowning Garp in the roaring tide of gold dust, Rasa didn't stop.
First, he drove Garp, who was completely buried, deep into the desert, then he condensed his chakra and slammed his right hand onto the sand.
The gold dust covered ground looked as if a Tailed Beast Bomb were hidden beneath it.
The moment Rasa unleashed the Gold Dust Imperial Funeral, the flowing gold dust field detonated violently.
A roaring hurricane, mixed with towering clouds of sand, rose into the sky.
It created a massive sandstorm that darkened the border between the two nations, and a colossal mushroom cloud of sand and gold dust erupted upward.
"Ah…."
"Get back…."
"Kazekage-sama's battle isn't something we can participate in."
Yashamaru and the others had already been several hundred meters away, yet the sudden explosion sent a devastating shockwave their way.
Many Sand shinobi were caught in the blast, either swallowed by the sand filled shockwave or thrown to the ground.
Fortunately, they were familiar with Rasa's Magnet Release and had lived in the desert all their lives.
The moment they were hit, most immediately used jutsu to escape. The entire force retreated rapidly, only stopping once they had pulled back more than a kilometer.
Aside from being blasted into sand covered messes, no one suffered any casualties.
"Iron Fist, this is the price you pay for underestimating me."
Only after the massive mushroom cloud finally began to fall and the desert calmed again did Rasa slowly rise.
He stared straight ahead at the battlefield where nothing remained but gold dust, and the corner of his mouth lifted in a cold, satisfied smirk.
At that moment, Chiyo and Ebizo flickered into view again, taking their places at Rasa's left and right.
Looking at the gold dust covered field, the three couldn't help but share the same thought.
Magnet Release: Gold Dust Imperial Funeral, strong enough to suppress even the One-Tail.
Iron Fist took that attack head on while completely defenseless. Surely… he must've got some injuries?
