At first, she wasn't planning on wearing it. The reason she took it up was that she thought it looked familiar. She didn't pay much attention to it when she got it yesterday. However, when she was looking for something to wear, she remembered it.
Aurelia refused to put her negative emotions toward someone on a dress. If it looked good, she would wear it.
Except when she opened it, she noticed a peculiar smell. The smell wasn't there yesterday. She wondered if Eve did something to it when she came to the room.
The smell itself was so light that Aurelia shouldn't have been able to smell it. She wondered if she had become a bloodhound because of the space.
Instead of wearing it, she opted for the safer choice.
She refused to play games with her life. Since she wasn't aware of what the smell was, she would investigate when she came back.
Fast forward one hour, and the family has arrived. They entered Rhea Academy.
Today, unlike other days when the people in the academy had a day off, the academy was teeming with people. Today, there will be an evaluation for all 18 year olds of different high-powered families.
Whether political, military, business or entertainment, once they could afford the high prices, they flocked to Rhea Academy. Over the two years of its emergence, its reputation has always been high. The people trained here are the cream of the crop.
Mainly stepping from the teachers who seemed to pop up out of nowhere.
There are many strange things about the emergence of dungeons that people still question; however, so far, there has been no harm to the people. As such, while the government does not fully trust these powers, they will not stop them from teaching their children.
While admiring the academy's amenities, the families led their children to the auditorium. A large auditorium with tiered seating. The podium stood in the centre. Contrary to the modern aesthetic of the auditorium, the podium seemed to be polished obsidian.
People could not help but look at it. The stand itself seemed to hold power they did not anticipate.
The parents who came to watch the evaluation were sent to sit in the higher tiered seats. While their children, for ease of movement, went to the lower seats. The division was marked by what seemed to be a stone wall.
Aurelia and her family had just entered the auditorium and were ushered inside after being notified of the division.
"You'll both be fine. Don't stress about it."
Mrs Starlight hugged both her children, trying to transfer strength. While she didn't know what the results would be. She hoped both Aurelia and Eve would receive good results. Mostly, she just hoped for their safety.
"We'll be fine, Mom," Eve chimed in. Her face showed excitement.
"I'll be fine. You don't need to worry." Aurelia looked at her siblings and parents, the concern and anticipation etched on their faces.
"Also," she turned to look at everyone, "you can just call me Lia. Don't you think it's weird to call your sister (daughter) by her full name?"
She smiled, waiting for them to call her Lia.
She decided this morning, not knowing what the future holds, won't stop her from enjoying the little affection she has now. If she does lose it in the future, she at least has a few memories to look back on.
So, she won't hold them at arm's length. As for Eve, that's another story.
Her mother wrapped her arms around her, smiling, she said, "Lia."
"Eve, Lia, you can both relax. Whether you have talent or not, your parents will be behind you all the way." Looking at both children, he didn't want to put too much pressure on them, so he continued, "Even if you want to become a bum, you can be a bum with style. But please don't become a bum."
Aurelia knew he meant well and smiled.
"Dad, that was lame," Kieran stated.
"Same," echoes Aurora.
"You don't have to worry, Dad. Your daughter will definitely come back with a great result." Eve patted her chest.
Aurelia couldn't help looking at Eve's chest, then back to her own. Only sighing in the process.
Aurelia nodded to show her agreement.
There wasn't much time before things started, so they made their way to their seats. Neither of them talked to the other.
Another ten minutes passed when the auditorium doors closed. If there was anyone outside who was supposed to take the test and didn't arrive, they would have no chance to do so this year.
Everyone was warned about. The door closed at 10, and no one would be let in. Those who did not listen because they thought they were high and mighty learned the lesson of a lifetime.
A voice sounded from the podium. No one saw when he entered. No one noticed him until they heard his voice.
That shock sent a wave of silence through the auditorium.
"Good morning, all. I am the headmaster of the Rhea Academy, Hermes Atravan. Today marks a monumental day for many of you. I will not waste on pleasantries. I am sure everyone here is waiting for the result that will change their destinies."
He pointed to a place on the podium where there was a large black stone on a pedestal.
"Today, we separate the wheat from the chaff. Each of you undergoing the evaluation will place your hand on this stone. This will tell us whether you are worth being what you call 'awakened'."
"To those who receive the recognition of your bloodline and element, you will begin a new life. One you have never imagined. To those who do not, I wish you an ordinary life."
With that, the headmaster left the podium.
Before anyone could break the silence, another person stepped up to the podium. They did not introduce themselves, only asked the prospective students to line up.
Everyone held their breath. The first person walked up, placing their hand on the stone.
Those who could see his expression knew he was feeling pain. Rhea Academy, not only famous for its mysterious professors. It was also known for being the only university where one could have a full awakening.
This put it far ahead of others.
Other universities could tell you your ranking, but only Rhea Academy could awaken your bloodline, if you had one.
The person at the podium now definitely had a bloodline.
The pained expression on his face didn't last long. A smoky image emerged from the stone.
"Kelpie. Rank potential A."
Aurelia took in everything that was happening. It was common knowledge that before awakening, everyone is E rank. Only when you start training will you be able to rise in the rankings.
Rank potential means they have the potential to reach an A rank, but it doesn't mean they will definitely get there.
Over the past few years, people with a potential rank tend to reach the exact ranking stated. So instead of potential people assume that is the highest rank for their bloodline or element.
The same could be said of the heroine, who was stated as having potential SS rank and, at the end of the book, did become an SS rank.
Aurelia's results in the book, however, were dismal. An E rank potential, with no room for growth. She was only accepted because the heroine pleaded for her.
On the selections went. Most of them have an A rank. So far, there have been no S ranks, which means neither her idol nor the male lead has appeared.
Aurelia was daydreaming, waiting for her turn, when she heard the commotion. She looked at the podium to see a dragon in the smoke.
She knew who it was.
She took a sideways glance at Eve, only to see her eyes sparkling as she looked at the man who was standing at the podium.
