Red stood, flabbergasted by what he saw. It was unbelievable that the kobold was still standing after that fireball. It was still alive, burning, but didn't move, or maybe could not move.
Their eyes met, the undying rage that turned into hatred. That might be the only thing that kept it alive. It was kinda scary, but it wasn't going to affect Red that much. He could not find the second kobold.
The fire should not be enough to incinerate the body into dust. Especially when the one that got a direct hit from the fireball was still standing. He climbed up the root and found the body, lying down not far from the standing kobold.
Red pulled the spear from his back. There were three spears left after his first three throws. That should be enough to kill the immobilized kobold.
