"They are here!"
Red yelled, calling the hobgoblins over. He didn't need them to fight the kobolds, but he would need them to stop them from coming closer to him. He planned to kill them all with his bow.
With three kobolds dead, the remaining one charged toward him. It might realize that it had no chance to climb back up the wall. If it tried to climb the wall, it would be shot. An arrow struck its head within a few breaths, killing it instantly.
The voice was heard, and the ten hobgoblins came toward him. They found four kobolds on the ground, and seven more climbed the wall from the other side. They were about to charge at them, but Red stopped them.
"Stay around me! Don't let them get close to me!" He commanded, and the hobgoblins listened.
At this point, the Kobold Scouts became his practice target. He didn't shoot them when they tried to climb over the wall. He shot them when they jumped off the wall. That would give them no chance to retreat.
