Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

Ron obviously refused.

Assassinating Lord Grim using a low-level account?

That's suicide!

In early stages, his Unspecialized was superior in number of skills and equipment! It's impossible to beat in one-on-one, but one against many would be different.

Ron doesn't know the specific number of assassins they sent, but judging by how it reaches him, it's probably a lot.

Politics... It's always everywhere. Ron sighed and put the idea in the back of his head.

Lord Grim had taken multiple first kills, disrupting their plans to ace the tenth server. They didn't like how he stole their achievements. Guilds operate this way... When someone is disrupting the power, there can only be two things: recruit or eliminate.

They value player skill, and he should be recruited, but LordGrim's firm refusal changes everything.

Although the first kill doesn't hold enough to warrant an order, whoever issued that commission has bad blood against him.

Frost Forest leveling area...

Looking around, Ron was taken aback. There were many people, either dungeoning or killing wild monsters. The map isn't completely full, but players are everywhere.

So many people... They are going to take everything in here. It's pointless to stay...

Ron exhausted his dungeon entries, and with this number of people, this place was no longer good for leveling.

It's better to aim at wild monsters from high levels, he thought.

Without hesitation, Ron walked out of the Frost Forest safe zone. He jumped and used Aerial Fire to go into the Boneyard, leaving only a trail of glint and sounds of gunfire behind.

Grave Boneyard...

Ratatatata! Pah pah!

Monsters in GLORY wouldn't trigger aggro through sounds, so it's safe as long as Ron doesn't hit them directly.

This is certainly much better!

Only a few people are in here killing wild monsters. Many people are afraid of level suppression, and level 3 suppression wasn't a joke.

But players like Ron didn't consider them a problem. He found a group of SkeletonKnights from a distance and shot at them.

Pah-pah!

Ron hit its skull with a bullet, making it flinch. It's not limited to one group; he fired another and gathered a horde.

ARGH! RAAA!

The Skeleton Knights raised their swords and charged at him from different directions. Despite their threatening numbers, Ron was unfazed; fighting monsters is easier than fighting players.

He used Aerial Fire to put some distance while dealing damage, nibbling their HP. Gradually, monsters fell one after another, but Ron kept their population to seven. Once a monster died, he would aggro another.

This clean movement was bound to be seen; it didn't remain unnoticed. Behind a mossy gravestone, ThousandCreation, a battle mage who got attracted by sounds of AerialFire, had been observing him ever since he arrived.

Normally, players come here to dungeon or level up, but this guy... He only wanted one thing in life—not to play the game but to troll the players.

ThousandCreation stepped out of the grave and attacked the monsters nearby. Instead of killing them, he gathered a horde and rushed towards WhiteNight.

WhiteNight was still oblivious until Ron heard sounds of splatters coming from a person running in mud. Tilting her head, she noticed an approaching BattleMage with an active Chaser.

"Hmmm... A player kill?" Ron mumbled.

Ron remained unfazed; this isn't uncommon in the game. Whether it's a troller, kill stealer, or player killer, the outcome will be decided by whoever is more skilled.

It's impossible to outrun the BattleMage with active Chaser since the skill boosts movement speed. So WhiteNight changed the aim of her cannon. Instead of firing straight ahead, she moved in a zigzag pattern and occasionally aggroed a monster.

Although the BattleMage wasn't the target of aggro, this was still enough to slow him down and block his path.

This guy...

ThousandCreation frowned. Unexpectedly, he provoked an expert! But he wasn't discouraged but thrilled instead.

This makes things more interesting!

His foot pivoted to the front, while his hand extended. The tip of his spear aimed at the SkeletonKnight's waist, then ThousandCreation swung his spear in a 180-degree arc, shoving them away.

Aggro?

He wasn't worried; monsters wouldn't be able to keep up with his speed. So he cleared layer after layer, but as he did a final swing on the last layer of monsters, he was shot by three Anti-Tank Missiles.

ThousandCreation recognized this.

Tri-shot!

When a launcher fires three artillery shells in rapid succession.

His character was knocked back, but tapping the keyboard, ThousandCreationQuickRecover and continued the chase, full of confidence.

She already fired an Anti-Tank Missile, which means she doesn't have any skills left for at least 5 seconds.

ThousandCreation used SkyStrike on the closest monster, lifting it at the perfect angle. Then, he followed up with FallingFlowerPalm, sending the mob into WhiteNight.

The distance wasn't enough to fully disrupt her movement since it's slowed down a lot, but it's only a diversion. His timing was perfect, making sure it would land on WhiteNight.

At the same time, he ran towards her full throttle while tightly gripping the pole of his spear.

Ron noticed this, so he had to stop maneuvering and focus on RapidFire on the floating monster, redirecting it towards ThousandCreation without putting it on the ground.

D-delivery Gun!?

Thousand Creation was astonished; only a few players could do this, and they are mostly at the pro level. Now he encountered one.

Although you are skilled, that's not enough! He snorted.

With his speed, Thousand Creation reached her first before the delivery gun was finished. Thousand Creation pushed his spear right at her face, activating Dragon Tooth.

You are doomed!

Ron rapidly tapped his keyboard and glided his mouse slightly. Facing the spear, WhiteNight tilted her head, avoiding it with a paper-thin margin.

What? He dodged it from this distance! He was flabbergasted, but there was no time to lose focus.

White light particles gathered around her muzzle; the cannon was aimed at his stomach. Since the attack was missed, ThousandCreation was still in a state of animation. He couldn't cancel it.

Cold sweat fell from his forehead.

Shit! Shit! Shit!

He aggressively pressed the keys, hoping it would help him overcome this predicament, but nothing happened.

"Fuck!"

Thousand Creation gritted his teeth and clenched his fist before pounding the innocent keyboard in rage.

White Night finished the Delivery Gun; she fired a wide white beam. Like a forming firework after an explosion, the sparks shaped into a lotus inside a perfect circle.

This sent ThousandCreation back into the horde; his body rolled around like a pug in mud. It eventually stopped only to get ganged up on by monsters he aggroed.

Ron clearly calculated the distance of the delivery gun to avoid changing the aggro; if he pushes further and accidentally hits the monsters, he will become a target, and a thousand creations could escape or go after him.

ThousandCreation was helpless due to level suppression and stronger monsters. Their attack has slight crowd control. It wouldn't be a problem against one or two, but against ten?

He could only move his mouse to look at White Night from a distance while his character was being tossed around like a sandbag and beaten black and blue.

Ron had his character White Night stand still. She dropped her cannon and stepped on it before looking down at him in disdain. As a finishing touch, Ron used symbols to create a middle finger. He sent it in the bubble chat along with the word "noob."

"Fuck you too! You fucker!"

Thousand Creation shouted his final curse before a Skeleton Knight beheaded his character.

Ron watched, and seeing the corpse remain still, he probably didn't choose to revive yet. So he opened the mic and spoke to him.

"Know your place, LOSER!"

Hearing a feminine voice, ThousandCreation's blood boiled, his face turning red.

Not only did I fail to kill steal, but I lost to a girl at that! Unacceptable! This is unacceptable!!!

His fist clenched, turning white. Seeing the keyboard he violently pressed didn't speed up the cooldown of his skill, he picked it up and threw it at the wall!

"Useless fucker!!!"

The keys were removed and spread everywhere like a wildfire. ThousandCreation knew it wasn't the keyboard's fault, but still he needed something to put his rage on.

"This isn't over, fucker!"

Glaring at the character who still mocked him, he chose to revive and get a new keyboard.
