Chapter 49: Entrance Exam (7)
The magic camera's spotlight zoomed in on the image.
Now the entire stadium could clearly see: Ren stood with his dimly glowing Yari, while Kyle, with a faint smile on his lips, stared back full of confidence.
Whispers echoed among the spectators.
"Who is that guy? Even though Ren is holding back, still!"
"And what is that weapon Ren is using? I've never seen it."
"Yeah, me neither. But he's very skilled at using it... And he's cool..."
Several senior students exchanged glances; even the instructors sitting in the supervisory seats looked tense.
The Aura from the fight—even though it was only a magic projection—pressed against the chest of everyone watching.
Then suddenly, a blinding flash of light.
Ren vanished from his spot, appeared behind Kyle, and struck his back with the rapidly spinning Yari. Kyle twisted his body, parrying the attack with a diagonal slash.
BAAAM—!
A wave of energy exploded from the collision. Dust and mist mixed together, making the screen shake.
Several students in the front row even instinctively recoiled because of the vibrations emanating from the screen.
Then, in a fraction of a second, the two of them disappeared again—and appeared on the other side. The sound of impacts, small explosions, and ripples of blue and brown Aura filled the screen.
Then a huge explosion occurred on the screen—
Light formed a large outward wave, lifting the shadows of the trees from the ground.
Kyle was thrown back, but before his body completely hit a tree trunk, he plunged his sword into the ground, bounced off, and shot forward again.
The audience was stunned.
"Hahaha!! Come on!!" Kyle's voice was heard from the screen, his voice echoing, wild and full of enthusiasm.
Ren responded with a small laugh, lowering his body and raising his Yari.
Then the two of them clashed again.
BAAM!
The ground cracked beneath them. Then, in the middle of their clash, Ren changed the direction of Kyle's attack with his weapon, making him stumble slightly.
But that was enough. He released the Yari in the air and, with a quick movement, Ren kicked Kyle's face hard. Kyle flinched backward.
Then Ren grabbed his weapon, connecting it into a staff, and threw the staff at Kyle, who was still trying to balance himself.
Kyle instinctively tilted his head to the side when he saw the weapon coming, even though his body was not fully balanced.
Ren smirked at that, taking the opportunity to attack without hesitation. He channeled Aura into his hand, making his hand glow blue.
Then Ren lunged with a clenched fist and struck Kyle's stomach with a force that made the air tremble. Kyle tried to block but was too late.
"Hup!!"
Baaamm—!!
"Akhh!!"
Kyle flew through the forest at high speed and meteor-like force as he crashed through the trees that blocked his flight.
Ren did not slow down and immediately chased after him. His Yari weapon automatically returned to him. He immediately gripped it and ran into the forest after Kyle.
The girls immediately cheered in unison as if by promise.
""Wooaaahh!!""
"Ren! Ren! Ren!!"
"Darling! Go for it!!"
All the boys in the stands froze, unable to say anything, not only because of the girls' cheers but also because they could barely follow Ren's every movement.
Their movements were so fast that the screen occasionally flickered to keep up with their speed.
Evelyn sighed happily, "See? That's my love!!"
Leon, who was sitting next to her, rubbed the bridge of his nose heavily, "Isn't he going too far?"
Leon looked at the broadcast and then widened his eyes; Ren's attack was apparently not over.
When Kyle stopped, Ren appeared in front of him again and kicked his chest again very hard. This time, however, it was blocked by his sword.
Kyle was thrown back through the forest again, blood spilling from his mouth, but the crazy thing? He was still laughing. In Kyle's flight, he passed several other participants.
This made the audience tense up and unable to help but sigh sadly because those participants were involved and affected by the fight.
Seeing Kyle almost weakened, they thought it would end, but when he muttered something, his Aura suddenly exploded.
All the spectators, even the supervisors and Professors, found themselves extremely shocked.
Only one thought remained in the minds of all spectators.
"This is the decisive moment."
Meanwhile, not far from Ren and Kyle's battle, Noah was running at a terrifying speed.
Booommm!!!
He heard a loud collision in front of him, which made him slow down for a moment while running. But slowly, he smiled broadly and said.
"Finally, a suitable opponent!"
Noah started running faster towards the direction the collision originated from. But other powerful figures were no different.
When the strong clash was heard throughout the forest, they ran there; Elves, humans, half-humans, and dwarves all went.

Ren and Kyle exchanged blows and dodged while fighting. However, if looked at closely, Ren was losing in that exchange of blows.
Kyle's sword flashed as he slashed, splitting the air. Ren ducked as the attack aimed at his neck, but Kyle had anticipated it.
When the sword passed through the empty air, he spun and kicked Ren's face. That made Ren's head snap back, his eyes widening.
"You…" Ren said with a growl. "How dare you hit my face…"
"That's payback!" Kyle replied while jumping back, feeling his instinct screaming to retreat; he felt a cold sweat on the back of his neck.
Even though he had used the temporary power enhancement skill, he still couldn't defeat Ren.
However, just as he touched the ground, Ren appeared before him like lightning, then kicked his chin with his right foot, lifting his body into the air.
But that wasn't enough. He released his weapon and, with lightning speed, he punched Kyle's stomach several times with his hand—until he took a half-step back, then kicked with massive force.
All of that was done in just one second.
Baam!!
Kyle was thrown far away, his breath caught in his throat from the intense pain in his chest and stomach.
Still not enough, Ren appeared above him while he was still in flight, grabbing Kyle's face.
Then brutally, he slammed Kyle's face into the ground with the same force. The ground shattered as Ren pressed him down.
And more horrifyingly, they were still moving, causing the ground to hit the back of Kyle's head repeatedly.
"How about that? This is the consequence of hitting my face, Kyle!" Ren said with a cruel smile.
Kyle, who was beneath him, gritted his teeth hard. Ren stood up and lifted Kyle with his right hand.
"This is over." He pressed Kyle's face hard while smiling, intending to finish Kyle off.
[Magic Circle ★★: Destruction Ball!]
But before he could finish him, a purple fireball shot towards him. That made Ren instinctively throw Kyle toward the fireball.
And before the ball could touch Kyle, it suddenly curved past Kyle and shot towards Ren. And—
Explosion!!!
The purple fireball exploded where Ren stood. Dust flew everywhere.
"Kyle! Are you alright!?" Mia ran towards her brother Kyle in a hurry.
Kyle weakly raised his hand, "I'm fine... More importantly, where is that bastard?"
The two of them looked towards the spot where Ren stood. Slowly, the cloud of burnt dust disappeared, revealing that there was nothing there, just emptiness.
"Aduh... You're so mean, Mia? We just met now after seven years, you know..."
A voice was heard behind them, making them tense up and automatically jump away.
Mia immediately cast her fire magic circle, turned around quickly, raising her hand.
There Ren stood, clean without any wounds or burn marks. Mia widened her eyes.
"...how?"
Ren smiled and waved casually, "Yo. Long time no see, Mia?"
