Eden and Elise were riding along when Sylvie moved in closer with Ikarus to notify them that they found the target. It was a behemoth that they were going to hunt. They began to get ready for battle when Elise said, "Let me take the lead with my dragons. They will weaken it before we arrive. Eden looked at Sylvie who pursed her lips. Then she said, "if the dragons are going first then there should be no issue for Ikarus and his rider to go. Elise gave Eden a smile and said, "have it your way, but just a fair warning, since my dragons don't have a rider, they might get carried away with the heat." Eden smiled and replied, "I'm sure Sylvie can stand the heat. Then Sylvie and Ikarus took off ahead with the other dragons. Soon the dragons began to blow fire at the beast. Silvie is suddenly seen dive into the pit of the fire. By the time the fire stopped, the beast was dead. What Elise didn't know was that Sylvie had on fire proof armor that protected her from the heat and created a capsule of cold air around her. Something that Oscar came up with when he heard that Sylvie was the new dragon rider.
Once Eden and Elise arrived at the location, Elise asked, "how did you kill the creature so quickly?" Sylvie looked at Eden for permission to speak. Eden then nodded and said, "answer what is allowed." Sylvie showed her blade to Elise and said, "this blade was specifically made for killing bosses and active buffs in the presence of fire." Elise's eyebrows raised and asked, where did you get that blade?" Sylvie didn't respond. Therefore Eden answered instead, "Callan mentioned that your forge can create armor with buffs." Elise nodded and said, "yeah, he mentioned that, but I had not idea you can create swords like that. It didn't see anything remotely close to that in the catalog." Eden said, "I believe there's a section where it can be created by chance. I just select that when I add it to my queue."
Elise took out a sword of her own. It was a golden sword with ruby crystals. Then she said, "I didn't get to use this. It's active when I ride on the dragon. I was planning to end the beast with this." Eden then added, "Well none of us got to participate." as she looked at the army behind them. Then she said, "how about we go for another beast, but we allow the rest of the army to have a go so they can get experience points.
They went in another direction to go find a boss when two giants showed up and started at them with enthusiasm. Elise scowled and said, "there's no gain in those. We should have the dragons burn them while we leave. They will be fine. But before they both could issue a command. Sylvie just stared one down and it grabbed it's partner to pull it away to leave. It was the giant that ran for its life from Kane and Sylvie. When it recognized Sylvie, he looked for Kane and realized it was not safe for them. So it decided to get out before the same thing happened. Sylvie chuckled slightly and so did Kane after seeing them run off. Elise noticed the two and then made a remark to Eden, "I see you have more than one trump card in your hand." Eden didn't respond right away as she thought of how to address the remark. "I'm grateful for my people. They aren't prizes for me to show off."
They found another beast and this time, they let the soldier fight it. Eden had told Sylvie to hold on. She said, "let the rest have the opportunity to level up." but she was looking at the other lycans that came with them. Sylvie understood the message and mindlinked the squad to hold back while they are out there. Only to use necessary force.
They had killed twelve bosses together, allowing their armies to gain points and pick up monster drops. Ikarus tried going with the other three dragons during one and returned irritated. He was about to make a comment, when Eden said to him, "I would like to hear all about your experience when we get back home." He snorted in disapproval, but did not reproach her statement.
When they were about to head home Elise started off the conversation by saying, "Callan has a lot of insider information on how to improve. Though you have two trump cards, he has discovered something guides can do. I have yet to unlock that ability. It has to do with your guide using one ability." Eden was listening intently. She realized that Callan had discovered something special about his guide. Then Elise added, "if you wanted to go forth with the merger, we can share the information with you since it's not common knowledge." Eden asked, "wouldn't it benefit the server if everyone knew of this?" Elise answered, " yes, but since we have the information first, we can control how to disperse it and when. That's how its done." Eden thought about the information she knew and then asked, "what if you found out that it's not what you thought it was. And everything is more sinister than what it is? Would you think everyone would wish they never knew or would they accept it." Elise replied, "that's very specific, is there something you found out?" Eden paused and then said, "somethings are best not to be known. You may not be able to close that pandora box." Elise chuckled a little before saying, "what, you mean this place doesn't already give you the creepy vibes?" Eden laughed with her and said, "I guess you're right." Then Elise suggested that if information didn't sway her decision, then perhaps a compromise. Eden replied, "there's no compromise in leaving anyone behind." "but we can set up a system where people move in three phases. The first cycle would be half your very active people, then half of what's left and finally" Eden didn't like the idea, but if it meant that her people would grow and get better at defending themselves, then that would be great. She responded, "well we have ourselves a deal, but we must first introduce ourselves in an event with all of us. That way we can mingle to see if it's a good fit." This would take a load off her shoulders and she can focus on figuring out how to get everyone out.
