Aiden Frost's POV
Aiden sat alone in the dim office of Valken Labs, the pharmaceutical giant he worked for as a senior clinical researcher. His fingers trembled as he held the latest confidential report—one stamped with the symbol of their most secret project:
Claim Reductant Prototype: Claim Reductant-07
A formula designed to weaken an alpha mark…
and one day erase even a Dominant alpha's permanent claim.
Aiden's mouth twisted into something between grief and obsession.
He had lost Noah.
But maybe—
just maybe—
he didn't have to accept that loss.
A nervous beta assistant entered his office.
"Sir… you asked for the surveillance result"
" Tell me" Aiden said sharply.
" Noah Lane has been marked." Aiden felt the air leave his lungs. "By who?" "A Dominant Alpha."
Those three words sliced through him like a blade.
Impossible. Overwhelming. Final.
But then the assistant added:
"We believe the Dominant Alpha is Diamant Reed."
Aiden's hands went numb.
Diamant Reed—CEO of Reed International, titan of the financial world, cold and powerful enough that even other Dominants treaded carefully.
An image.
A confirmation.
Noah… sweet, pretty Noah…
had been marked again.
By a dominant alpha.
A clear, deep, definitive mark.
Diamant Reed.
A name Aiden despised the moment he saw it.
He slammed the tablet down so hard the screen cracked.
"That little...." He caught himself, running a hand through his hair with a snarl. "He let someone else mark him? That fast?"
The anger burned him, but underneath it was something uglier.
Fear.
Panic.
Jealousy so sharp it made his teeth ache.
He had always assumed Noah would be waiting.
Quiet.
Lonely.
Desperate.
Soft enough to come crawling back.
Because that was the Noah he left behind, fragile, pliant, dependent.
But this new Noah?
Marked by an alpha more dominant than him?
Protected?
Claimed?
His dreams shattered one by one:
The idea of fathering a powerful child with a dominant omega like Noah
The prestige.
The biological advantage.
The connections.
Gone.
Ruined.
By Diamant, of all people.
Aiden paced.
Then stopped.
Then paced harder.
Diamant Reed wasn't just any alpha.
He was a leader.
A strategist.
A dominant alpha in every sense of the word, calm, controlled, influential.
People gravitated toward him.
And Noah… always craving affection…
would fall easily for someone like that.
Aiden clenched his fists until his nails cut into his palms.
"No," he muttered.
"This isn't over."
If Diamant wanted to take Noah from him…
Aiden would take something from him in return.
Diamant Reed
Noah belonged to him now.
Aiden staggered back, gripping his desk.
"Have you confirmed the state of Noah's old mark?"
"Yes, sir. The Dominant mark fully overwrote yours. It is… irreversible."
Irreversible. For anyone else.
But Aiden stared down at the Claim Reductant report in his hands.
What if it didn't have to be?
He paced slowly, each step sharpening his desperation into a decision.
"Prepare the claim Reductant - 07 serum," he said quietly. "Have it ready within the week."
The assistant's eyes widened. "Sir— that's still untested. If the Board—"
"If we succeed," Aiden interrupted, "we will rewrite biology itself. And I will reclaim what was taken from me."
His voice dropped to a whisper.
"When Diamant Reed leaves the city… I'm taking Noah back."
The assistant froze.
"You… plan to abduct him?"
Aiden's smile was cold.
"I plan to correct a mistake."
He closed the file with finality.
"Begin Operation Frostbite. Target: Reed International."
Yes! Noah would obey once Diamant was out of the picture.
A cruel smile crept onto Aiden's lips.
He didn't need to touch diamant.
He only needed to touch what Diamant valued most:
His company.
His empire.
His stability.
And Aiden already knew one vulnerable branch.
A partner corporation in City B — one that Diamant had been negotiating with for months — had a delicate weakness, buried in old contracts and legal gray zones.
Aiden had worked with them once.
He knew exactly where to push.
He pulled out his phone.
"Prepare the documents," he said coldly. "And make sure the situation collapses fast."
A pause.
"And leak it in a way that sends the blame straight to Reed international."
Aiden ended the call and smiled.
"Let's see how calm and dominant you are when your precious empire starts burning, Diamant."
