Chapter 12 - Chapter 12

Andrea sat on Kayden's couch, her body seemed to have calmed down, as Kayden gave her a glass of juice.

"You alright?" Andrea shivered as Kayden's fingers brushed her skin slightly as he tucked a strand of hair behind her ears.

"Yes, I'm just…" She gripped the cup tightly as Kayden pulled her head to his chest, hugging her close.

"It's alright. Your career down the drain isn't your fault, it's all your agency's fault. Okay? Companies still want to sign you, I'm sure you know. But legally they can't, and this doesn't mean your career is dead, and it definitely doesn't determine who you go out with, or who is in love with you"

Andrea had nothing to say, and from the exhale from Kayden, she didn't think he wanted an answer, so she just basked in his warmth, his scent, and the sound of his heartbeat.

Andrea's worry seemed to be out the window, as she nossled closer to Kayden, her eyes already growing tired, all the while, enjoying Kayden's fingers running through her hair.

"Can you drop me home?" She slurred, but her taking in deep breaths as her face buried in-between Kayden's neck, made Kayden think differently.

He didn't answer, but held Andrea closer. He knew if he should offer her to stay her, she'd most likely refuse.

He watched her, as her breath began heart evening out, her face wanting to get deeper into his neck than it already did, which made him chuckle.

He lifted her slowly and went to his big master's bedroom, and laid her there, pulling the covers over her.

"Good night, Andrea"

Andrea stirred as she heard the exchange of two familiar male voices. She suddenly rose to her feet, as her brain couldn't understand how men got into her apartment.

She slowly opened her eyes, as she looked around. Her blood immediately ran cold, as she jumped up from the bed.

Kayden's light blue room didn't look anything like her cream colored apartment.

Andrea walked out of the room in a bid to find out where she was. As she walked, she tried remembering the last place she was, and when the memory slipped in, she felt her cheeks simmer.

"Daxton, I swear, if you make this awkward, this would be your last memory" Andrea felt naked, her toes curling, as she watched Kayden standing in front of her grinning Daxton that tried pushing his way through.

She just barely managed the media, now Daxton? Andrea's mind didn't go to what would happen if Daxton found out about her relationship with his cousin, and now he's here…she didn't know what to do.

"Oh, no need. I can ask her myself" Andrea felt her hands tremble, and her cheeks heat, as both boys now stared at her. Kayden held a look of annoyance, while Daxton held a gushing puppy.

"You're up" The word that broke the silence, and Andrea felt like she could give her life up for Kayden. The number of time he had saved her from embarrassments were…unbelievable.

"Yes. Uhm, thanks for the short nap. I'll be on my way now"

With darting eyes, and erratic heartbeat, Andrea picked up her little purse and raced out of Kayden's apartment, without a single word.

Andrea felt herself able to breath again, once the elevator's doors were closed. She searched her bag and brought out her scarf and glasses, as she neared the ground floor.

A sigh of relief escaped her lips once she saw the flock of reporters outside. It had happened that another relationship scandal was in the open, and Andrea could only imagine them dividing themselves between the current scandal and her.

She quickly entered a taxi, heading to her apartment. She felt her head throbbing, as the craving for her bed increased.

As her mind drifted to her bed, it also remembered how Kayden felt and smelt.

His bed smelt exactly like him. Remembering that she was in Kayden's house, she didn't want to leave.

She felt the walls could protect her from the chaos the media brought, but seeing Daxton, she knew she wouldn't feel comfortable until she told Daxton about them, and until she accepted the fact that people would know about her and Kayden, anyway.

Andrea returned to her current reality when the taxi stopped moving. She paid, and immediately went up to her apartment.

"Oh, this is it" A satisfied groan escaped Andrea's lips immediately her body touched the soft material of her sheets, and she had never felt more grateful.

Although she had lost the luxury of trips and expensive bag, she still knew the privileges she had at her fingers with a roof over her head, and good clothes in her closet.

She was over achieving, but never ungrateful.

Taking her clothes off, she headed to the shower. A hot shower, had always had a way of easing her. That and food.

Her phone began pinging crazily, immediately she got back from the shower, causing her to let out a tired sigh. She honestly didn't want to hear any more noise right now, just sleep.

"Fallen Star Andrea Wilcox Clings to Kayden West".

This was the first thing Andrea saw once she opened her phone, and all the leave Kayden's arms and house gave her, felt it was washed away while she showered.

Andrea's hand began trembling, as she shook her head vigorously.

"This shouldn't be happening" Although those words left her mouth, the words on her screen, made her chest tighten, and soon get screen began looking blurred.

She knew this was coming but it didn't mean she was prepared. Cold sweat already formed on her forehead, as she saw another headline

"Desperate To Redeem Her Career, Andrea Wilcox, Dates Kayden West"

The articles didn't stop although Andrea's blood had seemed to vanish from her eyes. Her phone vibrated again, making her flinch, causing her phone to nearly slip from her grip.

Her eyes looked up to see if it was another notification, but her heart sank the more when she saw Kayden's called ID popped up.

Andrea's mind raced to the worst case scenario, and thoughts of Kayden wanting to break up with her crossed her mind.

She shook her head, and turned off her phone. She wasn't ready to hear it, not after today.

Today gave her a glimpse of the kind of person Kayden was. He didn't make her feel less even with the possiblity of his name being in the mud, or associated with her.

But all these was before the articles. She felt he might have changed, because it felt real now. She understood what it was to know something would happen, but seeing an article made it feel more real than it felt before.

It happened with her agency. She had heard rumours within the company that they were going under, but she didn't want to accept the fact, because she couldn't imagine her life with her stardom, but seeing on the TV that day, made it hit hard.

It stung like hell, and this all increased her fear with Kayden. If he wanted to end things, she'd rather get left without saying the words, because Andrea

knew she was too deep in to be okay if she ever heard those words.

"Let's break up"
