Chapter 8 - Chapter 8 : The Power That Shook Reality

"…This… this could change everything...maybe, Maybe the hope, The way to Return home, Lay within this treasure chest!"

He could feel it. His moment. His rise. His chance.

But instead of opening it, Adam stepped back, steadied his trembling hands, and looked toward the ocean.

"No… I must not act blindly. What if I draw something like: 'Thank you for your participation, please try again later'? I've read this in countless novels and always laughed at the MC's bad luck, but if it happens to me, my tears will flood this whole beach."

He walked to the waves.

The sea was calm, The salt wind cooled the tremor in his chest.

Adam performed wudu (ablution)

washing his hands, mouth, nose, face, arms, wetting his head, cleansing his ears then finally feet, each gesture calming him, centering him, grounding him.

Then, on the sand, he prayed two raka'at, the ocean murmuring behind him.

He prayed devoutly, first thanking God for His blessings and gifts, then shamelessly asking for more. He asked for protection, for a reward that could help him survive in this dangerous new world, and for a path that might one day lead him back home.

As he prayed, Adam felt a quiet realization settle in his heart.

"I was brought to a world filled with superpowers… maybe it's connected to the wishes I made when I was younger, when I used to obsess over having powers. I don't know. But I was also given this Hero System… It has to be a test. Maybe if I do well, if I use these gifts for good, maybe then… I can return home."

Finishing his prayers, Adam sent salutations upon the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. It was something he carried from his old world, a small act that had rescued him more times than he could count.

Whenever he faced a problem that seemed impossible, whenever he found himself paralyzed by a dilemma, whenever life cornered him with fears he didn't know how to face… he would set aside an hour and simply repeat those salutations.

And somehow, every single time, the heaviness in his chest eased.

His worries thinned.

His anxiety and depression faded like mist under the sun.

The problems haunting him unraveled in unexpected ways, doors opening he never thought existed. And the choices he agonized over… he always ended up choosing the right one, as if guided.

There was something miraculous in that. Something quietly divine.

And the stories he'd heard from others, people who repeated it in great numbers and witnessed things that defied logic, only deepened that belief.

Their tales weren't just coincidences, they felt like glimpses of the unseen, small supernatural mercies woven into ordinary lives.

He recited:

"Allahumma salli wa sallim 'ala Sayyidina Muhammad."

(O Allah, send Your prayers and peace upon our prophet Muhammad.)

He repeated it, letting the words carry his hopes, his fears, his longing for blessings.

Only then he walked back to the chest.

"Bismillah…" (in the name of Allah)

He opened it.

The chest burst with dazzling brilliance that almost blinded him.

Light didn't simply shine from the chest, it erupted.

From the very center of that holy brilliance…

a Rune rose.

It was majestic.

Terrifying.

Sacred in a way that made the heart tremble.

It looked like a condensation of the laws that govern existence, condensed into a shape that defied shape, shifting geometry folding into itself, and yet always complete.

As if It didn't belong to this world. Or maybe the world was repelling it but it can't, It shimmered between existence and nonexistence.

Every hum it released bent the air with thunderous pressure.

hairline cracks rippling outward like an invisible earthquake...as if the Whitebeard himself had slammed his fist into the air with his full devil fruit power unleashed.

Adam's pupils shrank to pinpoints.

His throat dried.

His skin crawled.

When had his back become drenched in cold sweat?

His survival instinct screamed.

His limbs froze.

Every fiber of his being whispered:

This is death. This is the closest to death I have ever been.

He staggered backward without realizing it.

"Allah'u Akbar…"

His voice trembled.

"Why do I feel like I just unsealed a devil…?"

Then—

SHWOOOM

The rune shot forward and slammed into Adam's forehead.

His body jerked violently. His eyes rolled white.

Information, raw, colossal, cosmic, crashed into his mind like a collapsing star bleeding all its secrets at once.

A pressure crushed his skull from the inside.

He tasted metal.

HMMmmm...TAAANNNNnnnnnnnnn.....

His ears rang until he heard nothing but a flat tone.

And then—

something inside him burst open.

Something older than matter, concept, and laws.

Something that had been sealed for a reason.

Something that was never meant to be free.

The world shuddered.

The air blackened.

An inky black wave erupted from Adam's body, rippling outward in circular shockwaves that devoured color, sound, light.

in all directions, in ripples like way.

The sky dimmed and started flickering, as if a kid was turning it on and off quickly for fun.

The wind vanished.

Birds froze mid-flight, vanished, reappeared, vanished again.

Objects flickered.

Sand dissolved benhate adam, but quickly reappeared.

The junk mountain behind him vanished like chalk wiped from a board.

reappeared...

vanished...

and finally snapped back into being, trembling as if reality itself was resisting annihilation.

Adam couldn't see what's happening around him.

He didn't consciously activate anything, he simply was not ready to hold this power.

his skin split like cracked porcelain.

Lines of void-black energy crawled up his arms, chest, legs, face.

His ribs creaked, his bones becoming translucent.

As if something ancient was trying to escape through him.

to return everything to the state before creation.

The black ripples surged outward.

Faster.

Wider.

Hungrier.

They raced across the coastline, tearing toward Musutafu City with a speed that mocked physics.

Reality peeled before them like fragile paint.

Nothing in the world could stop it.

Nothing mortal could survive it.

...

Toshinori Yagi, known to the world as ALL MIGHT, Symbol of Peace, Number One Hero—stood in the vegetable aisle of a small Musutafu grocery store, carefully comparing two brands of leeks.

In this skeletal form, with sunken cheeks and stick-thin limbs, nobody spared him a second glance.

Same hairstyle? Yes.

Same presence? Absolutely not.

This version of him was just a tired, polite man in a oversized t-shirt.

As he stepped out of the store with a humble plastic bag swinging at his side...

"KYAAAH!"

A shrill scream tore through the street.

All Might instantly lifted his head.

Outside, chaos had erupted. A young woman lay on the pavement, encased in a shimmering blue barrier.

a store owner run out of the store behind her and roared:

"THIEF!! STOP HIM!! SOMEBODY CATCH HIM!!"

Toshinori's sharp eyes tracked the culprit sprinting down the street.

A sludge-like creature, green, viscous, reeking, sloshed forward on malformed limbs.

Its bulging eye swiveled back, mouth splitting into a wide, jagged grin.

Bundles of bills floated inside its gelatinous body, some slipping out and fluttering to the ground behind him like confetti.

"Catch me if you caaaan!" the sludge villain cackled.

Pedestrians murmured anxiously.

"Seriously? No hero nearby?"

"With everything happening this morning, villains are getting bold."

"Yeah, I heard some gigantification nutcase wrecked the train rails."

"I saw it! But Mountain Lady flattened him in one hit, she's huge, man… in every way."

"You lucky bastard. I gotta check that clip!"

"Trust me, bro, you can't 'feel' the presence through a screen, hehe."

Toshinori tuned the chatter out.

He shifted his stance.

His lungs swelled.

His spine straightened.

He needs just five seconds at most… enough to subdue the villain.

But then—

He saw something nobody else seemed to notice.

A ripple.

Not of light.

not of shadow.

but something in between.

A wave of black brightness, paradoxical and impossible.

It swept across the street with the smoothness of a stone dropped into a mirror-still lake.

Toshinori froze mid-step, A Chill Run Across his spin, His instincts screamed louder than when facing All For One.

"What… is that—?"

The ripple passed through him.

Cold rushed through his ribs.

His stomach twisted.

And then it continued, passed over the people, and the escaping villain, and disappeared into the horizon, everything happened in less than 0.1 seconds, only someone with Allmight reflex caught a glimpse of it.

The sludge villain blinked out of existence.

Not a puff of smoke.

Not a teleportation.

He simply 'stopped' being.

His stolen money hit the ground with soft pap… pap… pap.

The woman's blue barrier shattered like glass.

On the sidewalks, people with obvious mutation quirk,

horns

tails

feathers

extra limbs

flickered violently, glitching like characters in a corrupted video game.

Some vanished entirely for a full second.

Some reappeared without their quirk mutation, returning to their ordinary human appearance.

Some shifted back and forth so fast they looked like stuttering frames of animation.

Toshinori's heart dropped.

"This… this is impossible…!"

He clenched his fist.

"HRAAAH—!"

Nothing.

His muscles didn't swell.

His body didn't transform.

He didn't even feel the familiar spark of One For All in his core.

It was like grasping at smoke.

His quirk felt—

Hollow!!!

As if someone had scooped out the essence of his power and left behind an empty shell.

Toshinori staggered.

"What's going on…?! My quirk...won't activate!"

He Had the feeling of Eraser head using his quirk against him.

The glitching intensified.

The street warped with panic.

All Might's mind raced with thoughts as he caught something weird:

'A phenomenon targeting only mutant quirks users, they are the only one who kept disappearing… but it also affected the quirks of those without mutation.

it's affecting EVERY quirk it passed over, but it's consequence is sever on mutant quirks users, they disappear, where they go?

This can't be a villain's quirk, even all for one doesn't have this kind of power.

This isn't any known ability.

This feels… engineered...like some kind of scientific experiment.

An anti-quirk weapon? A quirk erasure field? A biological incident? is it done by the government? no, they won't do such a thing in the public, which evil organization experimenting on people?!'

He gritted his teeth.

"I had a bad feeling…What in the world is happening?"
