[Scene: Hospital Lobby, Late Afternoon]
Agilan sits on a bench, clutching a small bag of personal items. His body feels drained, though the system's enhancements keep him steady. Vinod approaches, looking concerned but trying to act casual.
Vinod:
"Alright, Agilan. Let's get you home. You need to rest."
Agilan: (quietly)
"Vinod, something's wrong. I feel… different."
Vinod:
"Yeah, no kidding. I saw what you did in the hospital. Those tendrils, or whatever they were… But for now, just focus on getting better. We'll figure this out."
Vinod (after long pause) :
"Alright agilan, Its getting time, I have to go to college by now"
Agilan :
"Okay Da, And Ill Take A Leave For Today"
Vinod:
"Sure Da"
Agilan :
"Bye Da!"
[Scene: Early morning in Chennai. The rain has stopped, but the streets are eerily quiet. Agilan walks through the hospital corridor, his hoodie covering his head, blending into the background.]
Narration (Agilan's inner monologue):
"Something isn't right. The city feels… wrong. It's too quiet. Too empty. Where is everyone?"
[As Agilan steps outside, the hospital staff is tense, whispering to each other. He notices a sign posted on the entrance doors.]
> Public Notice:
> Curfew in Effect
> Peoples Are Missing
> No one is allowed outdoors after 6 PM. Violators will not be rescued.
> Stay Safe. Protect Yourself. Chennai Police.
[Agilan frowns and looks around. A few scattered vendors pack up hastily, even though it's just dawn. He approaches an older shopkeeper, who is nervously closing his stall.]
Agilan: (softly)
"Sir, why is there a curfew? What's going on?"
[The shopkeeper freezes, then looks at Agilan with fearful eyes.]
Shopkeeper:
"You must be new here. Or foolish. You don't know about the night?"
Agilan: (confused)
"The night?"
Shopkeeper: (hurriedly)
"After the sun sets, the monsters come out. They're not human, but they can turn humans into… things. Infected, like them. You stay out after dark, you're as good as dead."
[The shopkeeper finishes packing and runs off without another word, leaving Agilan standing there.]
Narration:
"Monsters. Infected. They're real, then. The same thing I seen in the hospital… there's more of them out there?."
---
[Scene: Later in the day. Agilan walks through the streets, observing people locking their doors and windows, rushing to get inside as the sun lowers. A loudspeaker blares from a passing police van.]
Police Loudspeaker:
"Attention citizens! This is a curfew reminder. Do not leave your homes after 6 PM. The streets are not safe. Stay indoors, and secure all entry points. Chennai Police will not respond to calls after curfew hours."
[Agilan follows the van, curious. The police park near a busy square, setting up barricades and warning anyone lingering to move along. He notices a senior officer, stern and commanding.]
[Agilan approaches cautiously.]
Agilan:
"Officer, what's going on? What are these monsters everyone's talking about?"
[The officer glances at him, his expression hardening.]
Officer:
"You should be home before dark, son. No one is safe out here at night."
Agilan:
"I need to know. I saw one… when i was hospitalized."
[The officer's eyes narrow.]
Officer: (gruffly)
"You're lucky you survived. Most don't."
[Agilan presses further.]
Agilan:
"What are they? Where did they come from?"
[The officer hesitates, then lowers his voice.]
Officer:
"We call them the Molded. They aren't natural. A few years ago, something fell from the sky—a meteor, they said—out near the outskirts. People went to investigate, and then it started."
Agilan:
"The infections?"
Officer: (nodding grimly)
"Not exactly. The virus came with the meteor, but it doesn't spread like you think. It doesn't infect humans directly. Only the Molded can turn someone into one of them. And, The Virus Makes Molded Survive And Makes These Alive."
Officer:
"Later, Some scientists are researching the meteor when it suddenly breaks apart. From the meteor, more molded creatures emerge. One of the molded creatures transforms a scientist into a monster, and the infected begin attacking the other scientists and eventually people. The monsters only hunt at night, except for one molded creature that survives both day and night. I Think this creature will be the King of the Molded"
Agilan:( Thinking Himself)
"I Think This King Of The Mold One Who I Saw In Hospital"
Agilan:
"How The Molded Monster can turn a human into a infected?"
Officer:
"Bites. Claws. Whatever it is, one scratch is enough. The victim changes within hours, becoming one of those… things. We've quarantined the area where the meteor landed, but it's no use. The Molded are spreading. And every night, they hunt."
[The officer looks at Agilan with a mix of pity and warning.]
Officer:
"You fought one and lived. Don't push your luck. Stay inside."
---
[Scene: Late afternoon. Agilan sits on a rooftop, watching the city below. He notices the sun beginning to dip, casting long shadows over the streets.]
**Narration (Agilan's inner monologue):**
"The Molded. They came from the meteor. And now they're turning people into monsters."
"But why? What do they want? And why… why am I connected to this?"
[The System Interface flashes in front of him.]
> Warning: Night Approaching
> Threat Level: Elevated
> Molded Activity Expected
> Recommendation: Avoid Detection
Agilan: (to himself)
"Of course. Avoid detection. But what happens if I don't?"
[He clenches his fists, his arms tingling as the black veins briefly pulse beneath his skin.]
Narration:
"I can't sit by and hide. If no one else can stop them… I have to try."
---
[Scene: Sunset. Agilan begins preparing. He pulls the hood of his hoodie up, tightening it over his head. His senses sharpen as he focuses, feeling the faint vibrations of the world around him.]
Narration:
"The Molded hunt at night. And now, I hunt them."
[As the last rays of sunlight disappear, the streets fall silent. Agilan leaps down from the rooftop, his tendrils already forming beneath his skin.]
