Aetherions are individuals who awakened Purity, the primal source of all supernatural force. They live hidden among normal humans, operating like unseen guardians or silent weapons. Their identities remain concealed because the world would collapse if Purity fell into the wrong hands.

Purity determines an Aetherion's potential, talent, danger, and career path.
Purity Grades (from lowest to highest)
Catena-5 – Common awakening
Catena-4 – Trained or inherited
Catena-3 – Talented bloodline users
Catena-2 – Elite
Catena-1 – Extreme rare
Catena-0 – Myth-tier, equal to demigods; only few in history
Aetherions progress through Catena, the evolution stages. Each Catena unlocks more control, transformation, and domain authority.
II. MERGING RITUAL
Two Aetherions with the same purity can undergo a merging ritual.• Grants temporary +2 Purity boost• Comes with damage, mental load, and post-burst weakness• Used only in national-grade emergencies
III. FOIBLES (ATTRIBUTES / CAREER PATHS)
An Aetherion's "Foible" is their functional identity—career, specialization, or mutation path. A Foible can emerge by birth, bloodline, talent, or by choosing it, but often the Foible chooses the Aetherion.
Foible A – Elemental Sovereign
Control all elements, weaponize forces, forge elemental constructs.Signature of the Goddess of Elements.• Absolute flexibility in battle• Rarest among Foible types• Elite form creates storms, quakes, and battlefield terrains
Foible B – Necro-Spirit Dominor
Controls corpses and spirits, can mutate dead beings into monstrous forms.• Power rises during full moons• Can temporarily reincarnate someone (full control retained)• Only bodies dead for 48+ hours can be used• Users start pale, gaining a lifeless aura over timeSymbol of the God of Death.
Foible C – Titan Caller
Summons:• 1000–10,000 Ancient Orcs (basic)• Power beams, purity bombs• 5 Apex Guardians/Titans (only 1–2 per battle)
The 5th Titan is uncontrollable and devastating.As users advance, their bodies mutate toward the "Demon of the Body" subspecies, eventually giving rise to Devils and Demons across generations.
Foible D – Void Strider
Controls portals leading to:• Void (pure nothingness; lethal)• Teleportation, long-distance vision, spatial slicing• Team support specialist• Enhanced agility & infra-visionThey grow blue hair and faint illusory scales over time.Elves originate from this Foible.

Purity Circuits – Inner Engine of Aetherions
Every Aetherion has invisible "Purity Circuits" running through their body like spiritual nerves.
Elite features:• More circuits = faster recovery• Circuit purity affects Ritual success• Purity overload can burn circuits → mental instability or permanent power loss• Some Foibles unlock hidden circuits that others do not possess
Purity Circuits are also used for:• Stealing purity• Sealing purity• Transplanting purity between Aetherions
Catena Breakpoints – Reality-Shifting Thresholds
Each Catena has a "Breakpoint," a moment where the user must choose or survive a transformation.
Breakpoints include:• Mind Breakpoint – controls internal fears• Body Breakpoint – mutation, evolution, adaptation• Soul Breakpoint – determines Foible destiny• Law Breakpoint – mastery over natural laws (Purity-1 and above only)
Failing a Breakpoint results in:• Foible mutation• Purity decay• Becoming a purity-corrupted creature
Successful Breakpoint advancement makes the Aetherion qualitatively different, not just stronger.
