Tall men wearing silver armor and helmets slowed down, cautiously checking the hallway with bright torches.
Their long swords were already out.
They checked each hole in the walls, one guy even scribbling something about them in a notebook.
"They are already out!" One of them shouted.
They all had already passed the turn in the dead-end hallway where my cell was. That was my cue.
Alya had completely buried her nose and mouth on my back to not make a breathing sound, but I could sense her muscles tightening, ready to attack the guards below in milliseconds.
I can't fuck this up. She was clearly prepared to sacrifice herself and hold them back while I ran. No way I am doing that.
The leading guard stopped looking around the hallway, turning to the ceiling fully, making everyone behind him mimic the action.
Our backs were covered with sweat the next second, frozen on the spot.
He raised his torch high in the dark, towards our direction, as if sensing something.
System… When I summon Echo, use the other rewards instantly. I want that one command to be to "Protect Lucien and Alya's life. I muttered in my head, my hand already tightened around the card with the Samurai painting.
The torch wasn't high or bright enough to see us. I pressed myself to the wall like a lizard, Alya, glued to me.
With squinted eyes, I glanced back at him again, half expecting a jump scare of longswords charging at me. But it was something much worse.
Glowing light blue pupils met my eyes. It was the leading knight. Time seemed to slow down as we held eye contact. C–Can he see me? He had an [Eye of Sanguine] like ability?
I couldn't breathe, my entire body paralyzed as my hand held Alya tight from the back, stopping her from charging at them directly. I shook my head at her in confidence.
My mind raced, ready to summon the echo the second he even tried to move. Alya's body relaxed, realising I had it under control.
His lips curled upwards in a cold smile as his pupils shook before he just turned back and started walking towards our cell.
…What was that?
The rest of the guards sprinted past his slowly walking, broad figure.
"He saw us," Alya whispered in a tense voice.
"Why didn't he attack…?" I agreed with Alya. It wasn't just in our heads; he saw us.
"He is cautious. When I sensed his emotions, I could sense them... He wanted to attack, but then his eyes flashed with shock for a millisecond before he backed off." Alya muttered.
"…Sensed his emotion?" I was even more surprised by something else.
"Umm…" Alya's lips parted, realising I was genuinely confused, "It's my signature ability, Eye of Wisdom's effect."
That sounds… Really useful. I tried to play it off, but she just dead stared. Hopefully, she thinks it's some sorta brain damage I suffered in torture.
My eyes narrowed as he entered our cell. So, he knew I could summon the echo and win?
"Luci… What were you going to do if he attacked?" Alya asked suddenly.
"Uh…" My fists clenched, "It's something Frieda gave me." I said, directly looking in her eyes.
Her eyes widened momentarily before she nodded in understanding, laying her head peacefully on my traps.
I tried my best not to feel guilty after learning of her ability, continuing to crawl forward across the turn. She was the last person I'd wanna lie to, but no way I can tell her about the system or transmigration, ever.
With a deep breath, I began digging at the stone ceiling with both my hands as Alya gripped me tighter and inserted her hands in the ceiling in my stead. She looked in much better shape now.
In just a few seconds, a hole wide enough to fit both of inside was there. Without hesitation, I grabbed Alya's soft thighs, even softer under the silk robe.
She blushed but instantly grabbed the edges of the hole above as I hung us with my other arm. She pressed on my head and climbed on my neck, then half entered the hole while her lower body pressed right on my face.
Focus! Focus! I cried as her big soft ass rubbed all across my face, sucking me into its warmth.
After a whole minute of hell or heaven, I managed to shove her inside. Immediately, she turned around and pulled me in as well.
"Luci…" She nervously looked at me, her face as red as a tomato. My face became the same with realisation.
The ceiling in this space was really low, so I was completely glued to Alya's soft curves, my face in between her breasts spongey flesh.
I stayed still, checking the area with [Eye of Sanguine] first as her warmth and mattress-like body made me sleepy.
A simple pipeline system with space wide enough for three thick pipes, with a small area left on one side—where we were. Moving away from each other was impossible…
"We need to start moving," Alya said through a suppressed moan, her red eyes glowed, observing the guards moving. Right, if they saw the hole, they would find us.
We need to move... I observed our position again.
It was awkward…
Her breath brushed my face—sweet like peaches, faintly musky, but addictive. Every exhale made goosebumps crawl down my spine as her eyes made direct eye contact.
Both our bodies were still glued, but sideways now, her thick thighs pressing my leg in between them, our chests completely stuck to each other as we both used one of our arms to move forward rapidly, the other arm wrapped around each other.
The stone scraped against our elbows, bruising them bloody as thick dust rubbed across them. Cold water from pipes made us shiver, but each other's warmth and the effort we were putting in moving made us sweaty.
Neither of us felt any of this, just blushing with countless thoughts.
We stayed like this for perhaps thirty minutes, the heat and almost paralyzing pain only adding to the moment as we grew comfortable with this closeness. Our arms were completely bloody, revealing bone beneath.
But we finally reached our destination!
With [Eye of Sanguine], I confirmed a seven foot tall bright orange dot. A fellow slave!
I shared a grin with my wifey, Shit's bout to get really messy.
