Chapter 10 - . Legendary beauties

10. Legendary beauties

Arrival at Shadowline University --

The moment Marcelline and Amara stepped through the towering gates of Shadowline University, conversations froze mid-sentence.

Students strolling casually suddenly forgot where they were walking.

A few even walked into pillars.

Amara, in all her queenly beauty, caught plenty of attention—

but nothing… nothing

compared to what happened when their eyes landed on Marcelline.

It was instant.

A wave.

A spell without magic.

---

The Girls' Reaction --

Every female student nearby stopped dead in her tracks.

One clutched her chest.

"Wh–why is my heart beating like that…?"

Another squeaked.

"Is she even HUMAN??"

A group of girls stared so hard their faces turned tomato red.

Someone dropped her books with a loud THUD.

A professor passing by, a strict older woman, froze and pinched her own cheek.

"Ow—okay, she's real… oh dear heaven, she's real…"

Even the dean, who happened to be walking by, nearly tripped over her own heels while whispering,

"Who allowed this divine creature into my institution…"

Marcelline blinked in confusion, her lashes fluttering softly—

A wave of squeals erupted.

"KYYYAAAH SHE BLINKED—!!"

Amara burst out laughing.

"This is going to be fun."

Marcelline groaned.

"Not again…"

---

The Guys' Reaction ---

If the girls were overwhelmed…

The guys were on the verge of collapse.

One stood with his mouth open.

Another dropped his coffee, not noticing it splashing all over his shoes.

A tall senior whispered to his friend,

"Bro… I think I just fell in love…"

His friend nodded seriously.

"I'll help you write your wedding vows."

A group of athletic boys froze mid-jog.

One clutched his chest dramatically.

"I think I'm dying— but in a good way…"

Then, as if the scene wasn't chaotic enough—

Students finally noticed Amara beside Marcelline.

"WHOA—another beauty!?"

"Is that her sister??"

"No idea but she looks like she owns a kingdom."

A few girls whispered:

"She's gorgeous but… why do I still keep looking at the other one…?"

Amara grinned smugly.

"They're looking at me too!"

Marcelline smiled apologetically.

"Amara… they stared at me first. Then you."

Amara clenched her fist.

"Tch. Every time!"

As they walked deeper into the campus:

– Phones dropped

– Bicycles crashed into bushes

– A teacher walked straight into a water fountain

– Two boys bumped into each other and apologized without looking away from Marcelline

Every single student they passed froze like statues.

All genders.

All ages.

All departments.

All hearts.

THUMP. THUMP. THUMP.

The sound of racing heartbeats practically echoed in the air.

One of the female teachers fanned herself aggressively.

"I'm too old for this kind of beauty shock…"

A trio of girls started chanting:

"She's like an angel—no, a goddess—no, a SUPERnova—!!"

Marcelline whispered nervously,

"Amara… they're staring too much…"

Amara looped her arm through hers.

"Relax, Elli. You're just breaking fifty hearts per minute. It's fine."

Marcelline sighed helplessly.

"I just wanted to study…"

"And you will," Amara said proudly.

"After we walk through this sea of love-struck casualties."

As they reached the main building, a young male professor swung the doors open—

Then froze, eyes widening.

His folder slipped from his hands.

"G–good morning… students…"

Marcelline smiled politely.

"Good morning, Professor."

THUMP...!!!!!

He leaned against the wall for support.

Amara smirked.

"Ah yes, another victim. The day is going well."

Marcelline buried her face in her hands.

"…please don't call them victims."

"Why not?" Amara shrugged. "You're out here committing heart damage."

Marcelline groaned quietly.

But the entire campus was still staring—

mesmerized, breathless, blushing—

as the two walked through the hallway like a pair of legends.
