Chapter 39 - . Adele

39. Adele

Marcelline's Office — The Quiet Authority ..

While holographic files flickered around her, Marcelline's posture remained relaxed yet impossibly regal—her mind switching between corporate precision and supernatural awareness.

The soft click of the office door brought Marcelline's gaze upward.

Adele stepped inside—perfectly dressed, sharp, composed, and radiating an aura only a loyal werewolf subordinate could.

The moment she saw Marcelline, Adele immediately bowed her head respectfully.

---

Adele's Arrival -

Adele:

"Good morning, Lady Marcelline. My deepest apologies for the delay. I should have arrived fifteen minutes earlier."

Marcelline lifted a brow, amused.

Marcelline:

"Adele… you arrived early. By my standards, at least."

Adele straightened, eyes bright with relief—almost sparkling.

Her devotion to Marcelline bordered on worship; she saw this woman not only as her CEO but as her Alpha Supreme, even though Marcelline wasn't a beast.

Adele's Detailed Report Begins -

Adele placed a thick tablet and several holographic files onto the desk and began reading her report with military-like discipline.

Adele:

"As per your instructions, I've prepared the full status report covering the last seventy-two hours. I will list everything chronologically for clarity."

She opened the files—hundreds of data points hovering above the desk like glowing glyphs.

Adele continued:

"The new AI-integrated robotic units have hit unprecedented global demand. Every major corporation—TechNova, Solaris Dynamics, HiveMindCorp, ChronoSystems—placed bulk orders."

Marcelline's fingers tapped lightly as she scrolled through sales projections.

"Additionally, three governments have requested priority shipments for defense and infrastructure."

"Division 7 completed debugging the quantum-matrix neural chips. They're performing at 98.9% efficiency."

"Research Team 04 requested your personal approval for the next-gen humanoid drone model. They insist only you decide its release."

"Here are the documents requiring your signature—contracts, security clearances, executive approvals, renewal licenses…"

Adele placed a large stack of digital forms in front of her.

Marcelline nodded once.

Marcelline:

"Good. Continue."

---

Adele moved closer, her tone shifting into something soft, almost reverent.

Adele:

"In your absence, I ensured every department remained stable. Stock growth increased by 3%. Employee satisfaction remains above ninety-five. No executive dared cause trouble."

Her werewolf instincts made her extremely protective of Marcelline's empire.

Fluxboat wasn't just a company to her—it was holy ground.

Adele (devoted):

"I will always guard your company as if it were my life. Command me anytime, Lady Marcelline."

Marcelline smirked, lifting her gaze to meet Adele's.

Marcelline:

"You already do more than enough. Sit. Report the last section."

---

Adele quickly tapped her tablet.

Adele:

"There is one more thing. Something unusual."

Marcelline's eyes narrowed subtly.

Marcelline:

"Unusual? In what way?"

Adele hesitated, ears twitching slightly in her werewolf sensitivity.

Adele:

"The system logs show… a disturbance. A strange energy spike. Not technological. Not human. And it happened around midnight."

Marcelline's heartbeat stilled for a fraction of a second.

Midnight.

During her nightmare.

A chill crawled up her spine.

Marcelline (calm but cold):

"Show me."

Adele, unaware of the deeper meaning, nodded instantly and opened the anomaly logs.
