Chapter 83 - .lovestruck

83. Lovestruck

83. THE GODDESS ENTERS THE LION'S DEN

Marcelline walked past the courtyard, heading toward the main academic block—and if the entrance was chaos, the inside of St. Lumina was a full cultural earthquake.

Whispers chased her like a holy breeze.

Phones turned discreetly (and not discreetly) toward her.

People who were previously late to class suddenly became early.

Posters on the walls?

Forgotten.

Timetables?

Useless.

Professors stood outside their classrooms wondering why their students had vanished.

They hadn't vanished.

They were following her.

Marcelline.

The girl who walked like calm destruction wrapped in silk.

---

THE DEPARTMENT HALLWAY — A TSUNAMI OF REACTIONS

She entered the main building.

Instant silence.

Then:

Girl 1 (clutching her chest): "She's even prettier up close—HELP."

Boy 1: "Guys, that's not a human face—That's a filter—IT HAS TO BE A FILTER."

Girl 2: "I'm sorry but this is personally offensive to my self-esteem."

Boy 2 (dramatically whispering): "I have seen God. Goodbye."

He lies down on the floor for dramatic effect.

Two girls near the lockers trembled like they were meeting their idol.

Girl 3: "Can I… touch your hair?"

Her friend slapped her.

Girl 4: "Don't embarrass us. You greet a goddess with RESPECT."

A group of boys from the basketball team turned, and for the first time in their lives, they collectively held their breath.

The captain elbowed his teammate.

Captain (stunned): "Bro… she just raised the bar for the entire species."

Marcelline walked past them without a single glance, which somehow made it worse.

---

CLASSROOM CORRIDOR — EXTRA MELTDOWN

She approached her classroom.

Inside, students were loud, chaotic, carefree… until someone noticed her silhouette through the glass door.

A girl screamed.

Another choked on air.

Someone threw their books in excitement.

The entire class rushed to the entrance like a zombie horde.

One boy slid on the floor because he couldn't stop in time.

A girl fanned herself aggressively.

"I'M SWEATING— WHY AM I SWEATING?"

Marcelline blinked slowly.

This… was worse than she thought.

"I should've let the entity come instead," she muttered to herself.

---

THE PROFESSOR'S SHOCK

Just as she stepped in, the professor entered too—a strict-looking lady with glasses.

She was about to scold the noisy crowd until she saw Her.

Professor (stunned): "Oh… oh my… heavens…"

She straightened her saree and cleared her throat way too dramatically.

Professor: "You must be the new student… M-Miss Marcelline?"

Marcelline nodded politely. "Yes, ma'am."

Half the class swooned because even her voice was pretty.

Professor (fixing her hair): "Welcome… please… sit wherever you like. ANYWHERE. THE WORLD IS YOURS."

The students whispered intensely:

"Sit next to me—please—PLEASE—"

"No, sit here, I have extra pens."

"Take my notes, take my bag, take my LIFE."

"SHUT UP. Let GODDESS choose."

Marcelline sighed.

---

MARCE TAKES A SEAT — AND IT CAUSES A RIOT

She walked to the window seat and sat down gracefully.

Everyone followed with their eyes.

The boys next to the window fought quietly to be on either side of her.

One girl literally fainted and the guy behind her had to catch her.

Another boy whispered, "I can't concentrate this year. My grades are finished."

Marcelline calmly took out her notebook.

A boy stared at her like he saw divinity.

She raised an eyebrow at him.

He instantly looked away like he was slapped by Fate.

---

CLASS BEGINS… KINDA

The professor tried to resume lecture:

"Open your textbooks to—"

No one opened anything.

Everyone just stared at Marcelline like she was the only subject in the syllabus.

Marcelline sat calmly, ignoring their worshipping looks as she thought to herself:

"If this is day one… I'm going to commit academic homicide."

And thus began her semester of unintentional destruction.
