Hmm. It seemed we had finally shifted to the main subject of discussion.
Shortly after, Dean Lucian continued speaking in a systematic tone:
"The theme of today's evaluation will be wisdom and disposition."
"Most of the time, whether in the Human Domain or in this World of Mist and Fog, you may encounter an enemy you can overwhelm with force, or one you don't even need to fight. Worst case, you can retreat to safety with ease."
"However, who is to say you'll always be that fortunate? Fate is not a trivial matter. What if you face a situation that cannot be resolved with simple methods? What then? Will you give up and surrender to a greater power? With such a weak mindset, how can you call yourselves devils?"
Lucian suddenly paused, a faint frown tightening his brow as though recalling something unpleasant.
"A similar incident occurred in the past. Several fourth-year students from this Solstice Academy were sent on an important assignment... and none survived."
