Patrick, Estella, Matthew, Laura, and Steven were all in the hospital waiting for Penelope to wake up. Steven you should also get treated, said Patrick, no thank you I'm fine, Steven replied, it's all my fault, he said as he burst into tears, they were there for me and she took the hit. Her eyes just twitched, Estella interrupted, where am I, said Penelope in a low tone, as she opened her eyes fully, Penny you're in the hospital, thank God you're fine, said Patrick, holding and kissing her hand. Who are you guys, asked Penelope, what, Matthew exclaimed looking confused, we're you're parents dear, said her dad, and there's aunty Laura, your bestie Patrick, and Steven your friend from school. Penelope stifled her laughter when she saw everyone tearing up, it's just a joke you guys, lighten up, she announced. You scared us you know, Patrick said holding her hand tight, fighting back the tears welling up in his eyes. Don't cry Patty, I could never forget you, Penny said emotionally, which made Patrick burst out in tears, of course you won't he smiled and said as she wiped his tears.
Excuse me, called out a male doctor who walked into the room, can I talk to her parents for a second, her parents followed him to his office. Your daughter had a concussion, luckily it didn't cause any deep damage, Thank God, Estella exclaimed, when will we be able to take her home doctor, soon enough we'll just need to observe her for a few more days and run some tests.
The next few days without her at school was torture for Patrick, he'd see her everywhere he turned, calling out his name, giggling, telling a funny story, it was just like when he was at school. He knew he promised to visit every break, but he couldn't bring himself to do it, he couldn't bring himself to come back home, and he didn't even know why. He'd rush to the hospital and stay overnight everyday after school. Penelope was finally discharged and got home on a Saturday, Patrick was in his bed trying to get some rest before going back to check up on her. Penelope what are you doing here, said Patrick as she walked into his room, she was dressed in a pink blouse and tights, you're supposed to be resting at your house he continued, I couldn't help it Patty, I just missed you too much, she said as she walked closer to him, you didn't come back once when you went to school even though you promised, and you've been acting so different since you got back. Do you have a girlfriend, she was now sitting on his bed, we'll talk later, go back to bed, he insisted. Come on Patty I've been waiting for you for so long, she said seductively, she got untop him and began unbuttoning her shirt. Patrick, yelled Laura from his room door, Patrick jumped up startled, looked around and realized it was a dream, sorry I didn't know you were asleep, are you ok, yes mom I'm fine.
Well I just wanted to tell you that I made a salad, and I'm gonna give some to the Enliven's, so don't look for me, okay mom, he said ruffling his hair, when she left he said to himself, what was that, what kind of dream was that, she's just fifteen and I'm twenty two, she's like a little sister to me, I shouldn't be thinking of her like that. Change of plans, Laura yelled as she ran back in, what's wrong mom, Patrick asked as he snapped out of it, I just got an urgent call and I have to leave asap, so could you maybe give this to them on my behalf, she said handing him the bag. Sure thing mom, He replied taking the bag, thank you son, love you, she said as she giggled and rushed off. I hope I don't see Pen there, I don't know how to face her after that disgusting dream.
Patrick rang the bell repeatedly to no response, he then turned the door nob and the door creaked open. He walked in calling out, Mr Enliven, Mrs Enliven, anyone home, but no one replied, why would they leave a sick person all alone at home, he sighed to himself wanting to go check on her, but just brushed off the idea. He turned to the table to see sticky notes and a pen, he took one out with the pen, wrote "from Estella" and pasted it on the paper bag before turning to leave. Patty, Penny called out as she excitedly hugged him from behind, the same clothes, he whispered when she let go and he turned around, what?, oh nothing he replied weirdly while itching his head, she's wearing the same clothes she wore in my dream, Patrick thought to himself. You care about me too much, don't you Patty, you came to see me again, oh aunty made me a salad, she said excitedly as she opened the bag and saw it's contents. Thank you for delivering it, she hugged him again from the front this time, Patrick didn't understand why he'd freeze at every touch of hers, and why his heart raced and skipped a beat.
I have an idea, why don't we share the salad while watching a movie, Penny said thrilled, oh I can't I have to be in school, but today is Saturday. Patricks eyes widened after realizing it was indeed Saturday, oh did I say be in school, I meant I have to stock up on medicine for school yh, he said nodding proud of himself, but you can do that tomorrow Patty, Pen replied in a sad tone as her smile dropped. Patrick couldn't bear to see her like that, but he had to figure out what was wrong with himself, I'm sorry I have to go right now, just eat the salad and rest up okay, he said as he ran out to avoid any new ideas.
