Chapter 11 - Cap10

The raindrops in the desert were rare they fell on such unique occasions and were always associated with the meaning of a rebirth in life.

Looking from a small window with bars, a little girl with a dry mouth looked at the rain with longing. Trying to stretch out her hand, she felt how the shackles prevented her from moving.

With a small sigh, she resigned herself to lying back down on the rags she called a bed. After all, she was only a slave in this great city.

*POV Return*

With a sneeze, Erick's mind returned. Blinking with a great dizziness still present in his mind, he observed that he was in an alley, thrown down like a beggar.

Trying to remember what happened, the thought of the old vendor came to mind, but he was sure that the location he was in now was different from where he was with the old man. He was in some dirty corner of Aruk.

Opening his hand, a chime in his mind resonated, reminding him of the feeling of his sword hidden in the shadows, but something new showed up in front of him. The information did not reach his ear, but on a floating screen right before his eyes:

Name: Erick Kallpa Sunqu

Sex: Masculine

Age: 21

Bloodline: Silver (Unnamed)

Mastery: 8

Level: +E

Slowly rising from the ground, Erick looked at the screen with astonishment and remembered that something similar had been seen before in the vision of the old vendor.

[Current User Erick Kallpa Sunqu, do you wish to break down the unlocked abilities]

Above the previous screen, a floating message showed up.

"User abilities... What the hell is this?" Erick thought with doubt, not knowing what to do.

Instinctively, Erick's gaze focused intensely on the white letters on the blue screen of the system. Feeling the user's gaze, the system responded to his silent command. The box for [User Abilities] blinked once and instantly, it expanded and transformed.

[Erick Kallpa Sunqu Abilities]

Bloodlust Level 1: Allows the user to temporarily increase the user's basic stats, increases the user's healing speed.

Weapon Concealment Max.: Allows the user to hide the Sword of the End of the World.

Sharp Senses Level 2: Increase in sensory perception (sight, hearing, touch) to superhuman levels.

Demigod of Battle Max.: Grants Fast Learning and intuitive understanding in the use of weapons and combat tactics.

Demigod of Curses Max.: Makes the user immune to death curses.

Champion of Another World Max.: Allows the user to ignore attacks from gods of this world.

Erick, with a look of fear upon reading the titles, got scared. His sword was not a divine sword as he had believed, but it was the Sword of the End of the World, and for some reason, he was now the Champion of Another World.

Sighing, Erick tried to think calmly. His original plan was to go to his village first and try to help them somehow. It wasn't a plan exactly, he just didn't know where to go, and his village was the only place Erick called home.

Walking slowly through the alleys of Aruk, he felt the rain continue non-stop, slowly wetting his hair.

"Pretty boy," a man's voice echoed in the alley where Erick was.

From the shadows, a group of three people came out. All with small daggers, they looked at Erick as if he were prey.

"I think it's unnecessary to talk about what will happen," one of the trio spoke while looking at Erick.

Without paying attention to them, Erick continued on his way. His mind was full of thoughts; putting one more thought in would only break Erick's fragile sanity even more. He was the user of the Sword of the End of the World.

"Don't ignore us!" another member of the trio shouted loudly.

But in a blink, Erick stretched out his arm and in a powerful burst of wind, the sword of unmatched shine appeared.

The raindrops that had been falling without problems until now, stopped for a brief moment; the burst of wind had achieved that.

Erick looked at the group of thieves and in their faces he saw not fear, but excitement. The sword with its shine perfectly mimicked the vision of an expensive, divine sword.

In his lost thoughts, Erick felt for the first time that his mind was filled with excitement.

"I will not follow the destiny guided by a god or whatever. I will create my own destiny, and in it, I do not see myself destroying the world; I will be the greatest hero," Erick finished, his voice clear above the rain.

Without thinking more, Erick tightly closed his eyes, pushing away all useless thoughts, and with a smile, he prepared to go to the center of the city—there, after all, the city's largest market was located.

The thieves looked at Erick and then at the sword. Its certainly divine shine forced the thieves to reflect on their actions, as if he were a legendary hero, they felt something many call redemption.

The center of the city was large. The central square, although now dampened by the rain, still had people walking to see the products, demonstrating how important it was to the city.

As he advanced through the city and felt his steps sink into the wet sand, a small rattling resonated through Erick's vision. Turning his head toward a shop that was better arranged than the others, Erick walked toward it.

But just coming out of the entrance was the merchant who had helped him; Rómulo was smiling and dictating instructions to his employees.
