Chen Yu pointed at Chen Chen and laughed.

Feng Kai frowned deeply. He hadn't expected Chen Yu to avoid the trap of self-verification. The Association now appeared to be in the wrong.
Feng Kai took a deep breath, softening his tone.
"I supervise the assessment to ensure fairness. Since doubts have arisen, the Association must give everyone an answer."
"If you have the strength, why fear an additional test?"

Chen Yu raised an eyebrow. This guy was capable—positioning himself on the moral high ground while setting another trap.
The surrounding gazes focused on him again.

The heavy alloy doors slowly opened.
A beast standing nearly three meters tall at the shoulder, covered in silver-gray bristles, slowly walked out.
Second Order (Low) Beast: Iron-Backed Wolf.
The fur on its neck stood on end. Its scarlet eyes locked onto Chen Yu, and a low growl rumbled in its throat.
The Second Order pressure it radiated caused many Beginner Awakeners in the audience to instinctively step back.
"It's an Iron-Backed Wolf! A Second Order beast!"
The crowd exploded instantly, voices cracking with shock.
"This isn't a re-test; this is trying to kill Chen Yu!"

Chen Chen squeezed to the front of the crowd, grinning from ear to ear, whispering, "Chen Yu, you're dead this time. Let's see how you compete with me now!"
He was already imagining Chen Yu being torn apart by the wolf, his eyes full of schadenfreude.

Chen Yu sidestepped the claws, grabbed the wolf's front leg backhanded, borrowed its momentum, and slammed it into the ground.

A loud noise echoed. A shallow pit appeared in the ground, and Chen Yu retreated dozens of meters.
The Iron-Backed Wolf roared in pain, got up, and charged at Chen Yu again.
Chen Yu didn't dodge. His gaze sharpened.

Arcs of electricity flickered around Chen Yu. The smell of ozone filled the air.
Chen Yu sank his hips and twisted his waist. The wooden stick, wrapped in Armament Haki, suddenly accelerated.
The lightning around him gathered frantically onto the stick, condensing into a ball of crackling electric light at the tip.
"Thunder..."
He flipped his wrist violently. The wooden stick, carrying berserk lightning, smashed onto the Iron-Backed Wolf's dog head.
"...Ga-Ba!!"
The power didn't diminish.
The excess lightning power, like an out-of-control silver snake, hissed and shot straight toward the viewing platform.
The current wasn't incredibly strong, but it carried plenty of intimidation. It grazed past Chen Chen's hair.
It singed a lock of hair by his temple, the smell of burning instantly filling his nose.
Chen Chen sat up abruptly, looking at Chen Yu in the arena.
He saw Chen Yu grinning ferociously. The Iron-Backed Wolf had been sent flying by the stick—directly toward Chen Chen on the viewing platform.
The wolf blocked Chen Chen's entire field of vision. Cold sweat poured down his back.
The next second, the thunder light flared again.
With a muffled bang, the lightning exploded, and endless snakes of thunder tore toward Chen Chen.
