"Mom, I'm heading out." Xie Fang hugged his mom and ran out in a hurry.
"Alright, just be careful." Mother Xie smiled, waving him off. She looked at her son and, remembering how he had been smiling like a fool since morning, let out a chuckle. Love was truly an interesting thing—it could change people completely.
Mother Xie sat down on the sofa and sighed helplessly. She wished he could bring the girl home to meet the family.
Xie Fang got in his car. He glanced at the rearview mirror and ruffled his hair, the smile still lingering on his lips. "Do I look good, Xiao Ba?"
Xiao Ba rolled his eyes. "That's the tenth time you've asked, for God's sake!" He really couldn't figure him out anymore. His moods swung faster than the weather, harder to understand than a math problem.
"Whatever." Xie Fang ignored his complaint and focused on driving.
He was going out to meet Li Chang. It had been a long time since they had last seen each other in person, rather than through a phone screen.
